Hey guys... you know the Haykuro builds have the camcorder right... well i was tryin to pull out the APK but i cant find it in the folder! is this impossible to do even if i have the apk (have a camcorder on rc33) or is it duable and if iit is where can i get it i cant find it anywhere thanks
if any of you have it can someone please send me it thanks alot
It's probably just Camera.apk. However if you're gonna pull it out don't expect it to work with RC33. Video recording in Android 1.5 is based on OpenCORE 2.0 multimedia framework. The version of OpenCORE in RC33 is 1.0.

Hi all!
I ve a prob.. As a rooted ADP 1.1 JF User i am unable to get video recorder or the video recorder update made by android7 developer team... Does Anyone have an idea how to get the app, although it is not avaible on android market?
I would be very interested in getting the apk file to install the updated new version with adb android sdk, need your help for this...
Thanks in advance for your help!
PS: The new version seems to be excellent and stable like i read before.. Just google it, like i did, but the apk file wont be there
it seems to be only available on the market and not their website... it clearly says that on the second thread their on the webpage. it does claim to have fixed memory size of recorded video files, better system memory managment while program runs, better stability, and most impportantly... ability to save video as avi or mp4! so just wait and turn on your notifications in the market application. sorry if i missunderstood the question...

Hi guys,
Atrackdog just gave me a new result for facebook apk, named 1.1.1 .. obviously it is not available on the market yet, but I remember the same thing happened with the 1.1.0 version "coming" from the droid...
Does anybody know where's this version coming from?
Maybe from the 2.0.1 update Verizon customers received.
Yes...that could be it...
I just wonder why in the world they don't release these updates in the market..they know they are working even on 1.5 or 1.6 devices...

They might know but that doesn't mean it has been officially tested and supported on 1.5/1.6. Those are two VERY different things.

so i found a dump of the update and checked it and yea there is a updated facebook apk in there .. tried installing it on my g1 running cyan latest but no luck .. i cant even push it into the system builds .. gonna mess around with it a little more and see what happens

Sounds like a sentence!
You're the man!
You can't use the normal one because it's ODEX'd.
I ran it through the deodex script -> Here is the new De-Odexed Facebook.apk (v1.1.1) View attachment Facebook.zip
RENAME IT FROM Facebook.zip to Facebook.apk (DON'T EXTRACT IT)
Now when you try to install it'll say it's not for this version of the phone. You're probably going to need to change your build.prop file to show SHOLES just like before the new Google Maps came out...

will that script work with any odex'd apk? For instance, I love the world clock from hero, but cannot stand the lag from the rom. would that work?
I used the terminal to install the app.
install /sdcard/backups/facebook.apk /system/sd/com.facebook.katana.apk
it didn't give me any errors, that should mean it work... right?
Well, I don't notice a difference, is there supposed to be one?

It works on some things... Like the MyFaves didn't work. It seemed to work on the facebook apk. I pushed it also into the /system/app but it won't show in the apps dropdown. I then tried to place on the sdcard and install with App Manager but it says "not for this phone" or something like that. Might have to change the build.prop to show the SHOLES keys instead. But it looks like the APK itself is ok.

this one is the new facebook apk 1.1.1 ..pulled from the new droid update verzion just sent out .. however it wont install ..... ( at the moment )
Anybody being able to install this on a magic/dream then..?
I keep getting the same error "cannot install app on this phone" i guess for now I will stick with version 1.1.0....hopefully someone will find a fix for 1.1.1
The g1 has incorrect testkeys for 2.0 apps. You will have to edit the build.trout.prop, as was needed to get navigation to work. I do not know what other problems will come from doing this though. For me, even with replacing to old build.trout.prop, and erasing all traces of maps, I could not download the new version from the market without a wipe.
so i guess for now there is now "easy" install on a Mytouch/Magic for version 1.1.1 as it was for version 1.1.0.........
Is it even worth installing? Other than the extra ".1", does this version have anything we might want over 1.1.0?
The official HTc PDFViewer only works in 1.5rom
When I install it on 1.6 rom, it gives error...
May be there is some lib file .so lost in 1.6 rom ?
So I need to look for one working.
I'm also missing the original PDF-viewer. Is there any that's even close to that good?
Also, a nice Office viewer app would be highly appriciated!
+1

I am using PDF Viewer from Maciej
It's free and sufficiant

If you don't care to pay for quality there is Documents to go that allows you to view Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and PDF files. Its really nice! The free version allows you to view, the paid version you can edit. Don't know how much you'll be editing PDFs so maybe the free would be just fine.
You can get it here
Does anyone have the actual app from the market on their phone? Could you post it here and see if it'll work on our 1.6 with Eclair bits? Or if there's someone out there who could hack it like they did with the 4.0.0 maps. I could really use this kind of search feature.
indeed, looking for this one too! could come in handy
I loaded it onto my ADP1 (more details on my setup in my sig) but sadly it won't even install, as it checks for 2.1 an will tell you, that you don't have 2.1.
So either you'll have to edit the apk or some system files.
The APK is available over in this thread, and I just tried editing it to reduce the version requirements but it still isn't working fully. See my post in that thread.
Google just put it out for 1.6. Woot!

Yeah noticed it this morning! Awesome.
Adobe.com won't download to a non-Nexus. Anyone have a link to the apk to see if we can install on G1?

I would think it would need 3d drivers and froyo to work which we don't have. The rendering is done by the graphics card for flash.
Yeah, it's really 2.2 that's required...
I doubt it's 2.2 since it has only been released to SDK so far. It hasn't actually been released as a ROM yet.
from what i read is that you need the new market in order to download it. and the new market is only available for the nexus as of right now. we need someone to port that over to even download it. then someone can try to port over flash10

This is for my G1/Mt3g buddies. This is now available on the market for 2.2 users (currently only Nexus one).
If you guys wanted to try and getting working (And yes, you have to have 2.2 to use this) you could try it, it's also available on the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686736
How nice. Personally I'll wait until someone ports FlashBlock to the Browser before installing this........
In the meantime, get-flash-videos is always an option.
thanks...
...for posting this in inside xda-developers > HTC Dream:G1 > G1 Apps and Games...
I know everyone wants it!
Bah, G1 is getting set on the back burner again. "Not Enough Storage" we'll show them and get the Froyo working better on the sophisticated G1 then on the N1!
Someone get busy and make me a 2.2 rom! ;D
