Just want to say THANK YOU! - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

[email protected]
Can download 10 ROM`s with ~ 860 KB\s
Look at this pretty picture!
You FTP Mirrors are just perfect.
THANKS XDA-DEVELOPERS !!!

dam! i wish i had such fast internet, i can only get ~700KB/s MAX

Why would you want 10 ROMS?????

I would also like to thank other peoples who have been developing ROMs for us, like:
shadowmike
gtrab
Kid_DC
smaberg
BioVolt
Without them none of these wouldn't have been possible. Peoples like them are always an inspiration to us all.
Truly Thank You.

Do you really know that many languages or you simply wasting others bandwidth??

10 ROMS... all generic
Oooppps! there's a dog above me... rollout...
Kidding...look at our avatar

you are not downloading from your local IIS, aren't you?
let me think a bit
10 * 850 kb/s = 8.5 mb/s (average)
8.5 mb/s * 8 bits = 68000 kbps! =
66.40625 mbps?!
are you kidding me?
i don't even have that @ work (which is a gov sector)!
this is the entire turkey bandwidth!
International Internet bandwidth > Mbps 29,200 Mbps
source (http://www.nationmaster.com/country/tu-turkey/int-internet)
so by a simple calculation (66.5/29200)*100 = 0.22% of your country international bandwidth?
500 subscribers with the same capabilities of your line downloading ROMs for their X1's will defenetly stop the internet @ your country!
i wish i can have something like that. but hey, seriously. come on!

Now I feel soooo 3rd world

@anaadoul
He's in Germany!

No im in Germany now! (HAMBURG)
i got a 100Mbit connection to the internet, thats why i can downlod them that fast. If the FTP server would give more speed i could download 1 ROM with 9000Kb\s minimum....

I'd be jealous, but you're using Vista.
It used to be the faster a guy's car the smaller his manhood, now in the internet age...?

i like this rom.
its very fast. no bugs. no cars....
the resolve of problem install all roms at same time using via 100 meter hamburg and mathematical matrixes by changing country from one to an other is perfect ef-te-pe-ing by vista background-gfx's.

Look very nice. Whats the screen dimension? If it is 2.8" then a big NO from me but if it is anything 3" or over then I am for it.
Not only does it have a FM receiver but also a transmitter. WOW!
So, let's see:
1. VGA Screen
2. 500Mhz
3. 256MB ROM
4. GPS
5. FM Tuner/Transmitter
6. Thinner form
I'm liking it!
no keyboard = deal breaker ****!
If I were you I'd stay well away from e-ten products. I had an x500 that was plagued with a bad GPS antenae, bad Nand flash ROM (over 50% of ROM developed bad blocks within 1 year of use), as well as just basic instability (constant losing of bluetooth & wifi settings and spontaneous lock-ups and resets). My unit was not unique and others developed the same problems. Overall very poor quality product even though it looked really slick. There customer support is also a complete joke...well...more like non-existant in North America.
I was very pleased once I abandoned that piece of junk x500 and bought myself a HTC TyTn-II which I've found to be a really stable and solid device.

and so many bugs in the Rom...
There are numbers of bad reviews regarding E-Ten's devices. Knowing how detailed those reviews are, I can only imagine what sort of issues there might be on those devices. Might be better to stick with your Kaiser for a while.
This looks nice:
http://www.imate.com/product.aspx?product=ultimate9502
It has the same chipset, has anyone tried to dump some drivers from this device? Or it suffers with the same issues?
:O they have one with a sliding keyboard too.
imate = done after 2008..wouldnt waste your time.
These iMate devices with Qualcomm chipset have been canceled and reannouced I think. Really weird.
Also iMate supposedly signed a contract with HTC. I dunno exactly what it means but I think iMate will support/sell HTC devices in time.
So I think buying an iMate device right now might not be a good idea either.
The GloFish M800 has a keyboard, 3G, VGA and GPS. X800 is the same without keyboard. I was thinking of getting this, but the downfall is it only has 64MB RAM and no support from XDA-Dev.

This one is e-ten replica for Polaris !!!!?????
Better make sure they specifically say that it will make a phone call because they might pull a stunt like HTC did and if you assume you are getting the obvious, you might not be!

New Xperia Radio 1.16.25.48

Just extracted from new Korean R3BA015 Rom
http://rapidshare.com/files/250773338/Radio_1_16_25_48.zip
Lets have some feedback
I cant download it. Rapidshare say its a limit of 10 download. !!!
Someone who downloaded can give us some feedback? And perhaps upload as well?
Thanks a lot for extracting this. I flashed it, and there is DEFINITELY an improvement in the signal strength. I didn't really have significant problems, but I always got a consistent 3 bars in my house. After flashing, I am getting a consistent 4 bars. Looks like SE is trying to address complaints about the weak signal quality.

Have edited link in 1st post should be ok now!
Please state your location as well, for comparison's sake.
I tried the last Korean rom radio in the US and it was terrible.
Ftp Mirror
Uploaded it to ftp ;
ftp://minftp.myftp.org/XperiaX1i/Radio/
have fun
I'm in the UK, and having just flashed the new radio (was on 1.14) I have gained an extra bar at home. I'm using the EnergyROM.
Great stuff! Thanks guys!
-- Joe
In Canada, just flashed it and i'm getting great reception!
no downsides so far!
Luckily I haven't experienced any major reception issues (full reception at home) with the previous radio version, but this one does seem to be a bit better, at one place giving me 3-4 bars where I previously usually got 2-3 bars (X1i, Orange Austria 3G network).
Thanks
made a rapidshare mirror for those who prefer it (it will not expire):
http://rapidshare.com/files/250773338/Radio_1_16_25_48.zip
flashed right now, tomorrow I'll test it and see if some major drawbacks appear.
great thanks guys, please post here the rilphone.dll for this radio if we have it...Cheers!
The best radio for me. Thanks!
Hi friends,

WIFI Cracking App

Has anyone heard of a WIFI hacking/Cracking Application?
Something like http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php that works on the android phone.
Birnie
You really don't need this.
Do you espect your 528MHz to listen+decrypt WEP/WPA wireless?
From my reading i dont think speed is an issue at all, as the program captures, then decrypts.

bernie is right, there is no reason to decrypt on the fly.
So there should be no problem, even with a phone that is not normaclocked.
The only problem you have when you do not decrypt on the fly, is you do not know how many packages you need, so you would end up with a full sdcard with dump data.
Yes this would be an awesome addition to the android.
Hopefully some smart coder will read this and take up the challenge.
Birnie
Dude, how old are you?

Sure , easily . Speed has nothing to do with this. It is a waist of resources to do it on the fly , however I will remind you of one of the more popular methods , WRT54G and kismet Drone (on board the device). The wrt54gl (best of the best *cough cough* still clocks in at 200 mhz). heck a Cisco ASA5505 clocks in at 604 mhz manilla (thats before any kind of load you place on the device / flashing.... it is alot more "stable at 552 mhz" .
this would be hard as your would have to be able to set the wireless chip in monitor mode(im not sure if you even can). Also just the development for smart phones it less standard(ram and raw cpu power rang from super high end to to the new low end models comming out)
men i have decrypted wep within minutes with an 8-year-old zaurus pda. So guess this htc has enough to play with it

Tmobile 7.2hspa is up and running!! 2Megs!!

It's kilobits.. that score is under 2meg.
yea i did a retest using a different server. theres a newer screenshot up. 2megs!!
lol...if it was 7.2..... it would say 7.2 on that speed test lol
and the link you updated is not up
damnit image shack!!
ok try now. new link
7.2 isnt the transfer rate. its the network size. transfer rate will never be at 7megs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-Speed_Downlink_Packet_Access
hmm... 7meg transfer rates?? im sooo out of date. maybe tmobile capped it???
ok just used mobilespeedtest.com and did the 3meg test and resulted with 4082kbps. im not liking this speedtest.net app.
use xtreme labs speedtest
and 7.2 transfer rates are possible but due to network traffic, it will probably be much less.
what did you get before?

mobilespeedtest has alrdy been proven to be false and misleading.
and 2meg is actaully pretty normal depending on ur area.

the xtreme app will only work once then i have to reboot. but with it i do get 400-500kbps down. same as when 3g first rolled out. signal stregth at my house is not all that good. so to see 2megs down after my 3g signal dropped for about 30mins alerted me to what tmobile was up to.
I get 751Kbit/s down and 151Kbit/s up in downtown Seattle area.
Since T-Mobile US is headquartered about 20 minutes from here, I call BS on them upgrading the speed, as I'd think they would do it near HQ first.
