Aight. I did a thorough search and couldn't find anything... most likely because it's not a current element of the system but I have a question for you savvy individuals on here who are able to dive REAL deep (deeper than me @ any rate).
I have the Transform open/closed FX from generation one Transformers that I used w/ my MotoRizr and Wing as a sliding sound previously.
I know there's no active feature currently implemented in Android that would allow us to set any kind of system sound for the opening and closing of the hinge... but is it somehow possible to write this into a build/program the phone to somehow do this? Seems that the sky's nearly the limit w/ android so I figured there might be someone on here savvy enough to pull it off.
I'd LOVE to implement these sound effects for my G1... and if we were able to create this capability that'd add yet ANOTHER awesome dynamic to creating skins/themes as devs could include related opening/closing sounds (kinda the way the sidekick themes, as nausiatingly proprietary as they are, change the open/close sound when you switch them up). Just an idea I thought I might throw someone's way. Thanks =)
I would say it is definately doable. Just as in programs you can override any of the android processes and controll what happens you could add an event for this. It would have to be built into the system for it to work properly which is well beyond my abilities.
Heres an Idea though, what about the home screen replacements, I assume that they must override these processes to work properly and handle their own events. Maybe you could e-mail the devs and suggest it as a feature.

Good idea =) Don't know what to do next... hoping this thread will catch somebody's attention. Cuz I'm an avid user of Openhome and have e mailed betterandroid on several occasions already =)
I'd be tempted to post this on the themes and wallpapers forum but would thus be breaking the rules by multi-posting. I'll give it a few days, then PM killa_tattz who created the X-Men skin I'm currently rockin to see if he knows/would know anyone =)
What, you don't like the squeaky creak and *kschuck* when you open the screen now? lol

I can say for sure it's doable. I would attempt it but I've had enough problems with my music player to know that it's not for me. But basically some1 would just have to make a broadcast receiver/service combo that plays the sound on the open keyboard event and the closing sound on the close keyboard event. It doesn't even seem like it'd be that difficult for the right person(someone with enough experience with the sound api to get this to work)

Frickin hilarious!
Must note that I seem to remember seeing a post somewhere on how to tighten up the hinges or something to prevent the squeaking. I'll look around for it... If anyone knows where it is PM me and I'll update this post with the link.
I think the open/close sound option would be great!

Actually, it's that there's a little nub of plastic right next to where the hinge is on the top part of the chin. If you cut it off with an etching knife or something it'll stop squeaking.
Guys moving from the sidekick would go APE**** over this... I suggested my dev friend make a app for this, he'd make millions. Ok, not millions.. but at least a quick $5.
This would be an AWESOME feature! If we could get this and typing sounds for the hardware keyboard, my OCD would be 100% completely satisfied!

The trick with the pen knife didn't address my squeeeking! LOL
But, I'll agree... Some dang large hands and a sound effect for the open/closing of the screen would be sweet!
i also really really really desire the sounds for keypresses
like the same sounds that come with the vk in haykuro h!
different sounds for keypress and backspace and space
so entertaining...
some one please do thisss
I have also ben looking for a way to add sound to the opening and closing of my keyboard. Anyone out here willing to try and tackle this idea? If anyone, I know an xda dev can do this....

That's probably because you're using HTC_IME. cyanogen said he would try to fix that //EDIT: its fixed!
landscape mode
Not sure if this would work but perhaps linking the sound to part of the system that tells the screen to go landscape when the keyboard is opened
Than it would do it whenever you rotate your phone.
maybe
Maybe not when the keyboard id open there is something telling it not to rotate so maybe linking it to that part is the key
It seems it would be easier just to tie the sound to the keyboard opening than to make it play when switching to portrait but only when the keyboard is open lol.
I think it disables autorotate when the keyboard is out btw.

This is the second release of Black Box G Logger.
What it does:
Polls the Sensor to get current acceleration in all three dimensions, and then records the data to pre-defined location, whilst displaying data in real time.
The time interval can be changed to allow for more or less results per minute. (Time in milliseconds between each check)
A maximum number of results to collect can be set.
The path for data storage can be changed.
Interpreting the data:
Currently, the data is stored as a csv file, which must be opened using Excel or similar on a desktop OS. The format is:
Day, Date, Time, X acceleration, Y acceleration, Z acceleration.

In the mean time, anyone have any feature requests for "DynoDiamond" or Black Box G Logger?

Thanks for that. Now making more sense to me. Divide the difference between the static reading and the acceleration by 9.8 (or about 10) to get G force. Correct?
In one of the other gsen apps (klaxon I think) they talk about using a 20G threshold for some action to happen - when I think they really mean 20m/s2 or about 2G. Because I just shook the Sh1t out of my phone and the highest reading on any axis I can get is about 25 or roughly 2.5G. So any action requiring a 20G threshold would require the phone to be dropped hard and possibly broken.
Thanx for tidying up the time display column and adding the interval thing.
Ideas:
-A Start Stop switch to commence/cease recording to the log file. Only way to stop logging at present is to reboot.
-Wonder if a GUI or front end for BB could display
1) dynamic G in Gs not m/s2.
2) Variation form a running average or baseline. In other words whatever Axis is more or less constant at 9.8 is gravitational acceleration. Spikes represent G forces felt other than gravitational acceleration.
Question:
How would you expect a 20m/s2 acceleration 45 degrees to any two axis being displayed? And can these two be summed some how to read actual acceleration and therfore deduce G force at the oblique angle.
What I envisiage here is a situation where the app could display max vert G in an aircraft landing by deduction regardless of phone orientation.
Will go looking for an Orange Black Blox icon for you
Cheers

Black Box G Logger can be shortened to BBGL, and if it's just "Black Box" people may assume it logs over things. Although, I could add light sensing relatively easily!
I could do a GUI for it, and I'm thinking that would make the settings more easy to integrate.
I could deduce the angle of the device, but I'll need to work through some logic to get 45 degrees sorted. (Flat on any face is relatively easy.)
I can add a config option for "Gs" or "M/S2" relatively quickly.
If this is going to use the GPS signal also, it might not be very accurate due to the Qualcomm chip.
Here is the test of the HTC P3600 GPS (Qualcomm gpsONE chipset) compared to SiRFstar III GPS chipset based devices made by http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/articles.asp?id=175&page=6
I thought I'd drop a link to the Pocket Dyno thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408474
Currently, I have no plans to use the GPS, as I have no idea about the interactions with the GPS chip, and as I don't have a device, I can't play around with the software easily.
One other thing:
That review is relatively old, and the GPS in the Diamond is a different chip, or at least a different revision of the chip.
I have a theoretical question:
If the g-sensor can record movement in all three dimentions, then is it theoretically possible for it to 100% mimic GPS tracking ?, I mean, if you tell the sensor where you are currently on a map of coordinates (using the GPS, for example), why couldn't it keep the track on the map when you move ?
Couldn't this give your pin-point location, as you move, down to the centimeter ?
Or am I missing something ? (probably am).

In theory, you are correct. However, the hardware used is not that accurate, and because of the way data is retrieved, there is not enough data for that kind of precision.
Also, a centimeter is bigger than a pin point!

Ok, down to the micrometer
I can already imagine TomTom in maximum resolution: "in 100,000,000 micrometers, turn left..."
More seriously, so you think the g-sensor isn't accurate enough to even measure short distances ?, it could be a great tool if it can replace a meter...

Sweet a GUI would be very cool. I am happy with the long name too - just did not want you to feel obligated somehow

Name: Connectivity Shortcuts
Connectivity Shortcuts allows Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) users to quickly access their Wifi, Bluetooth, Cellular and Airplane Mode Settings Page. Additionally it allows users to put a direct link to any of those Settings Pages as a Live Tile directly on their start screen.
E.g.: You touch the Wifi Tile and are taken directly to Wifi Settings where you can enable/disable Wifi or choose a Wifi network.
This App is available right now for all Windows Phones running Mango through the Windows Phone Marketplace.
The visuals will be improved in an update which should arrive early next week and due to initial user feedback new (more beautiful) icons are currently in the works.
Additional projects for the near future includes a german localisation.
Any feedback and feature suggestions are welcome.

Awesome job, thanks a lot. I really missed that since I switched to Mango.
Will the new icons be more metro like? Then it would be perfect
The Function of the App is nice.
But the Design is awful
The Icons are way to big n not metro style and the App itself should look like the Settings design.
Only Text and Switches.
Other than that its nice to have Shortcuts.
I appreciate your work but i wanted to give u feedback.
I have not finally decided what exactly the new icons will look like.
Due to popular request the icons will be smaller than they are now. Wifi will most likely be changed to look similar to the Icon found in Windows Phones Task Bar. Similarily the Cell-Settings icon will most likely mimic a phone's reception indicator.
Bluetooth will remain roughly the same as well as the Airplane mode albeit smaller (which better matches with the looks of e.g. the Zune and IE Tiles).
The next update (v 1.1) though will not feature those but some minor changes in the application (it was already submitted prior to todays Marketplace availability).
V 1.2 will have new Icons and I'm currently thinking about some tile customizations that users can do themselves but there's nothing definitive on this at the moment.
Another thing people often ask for in comments is shortcuts to other settings. As much as I would like to provide those - Microsoft did not include the needed APIs so we're stuck with those 4 for now.
@Knochen: Your feedback is much appreciated. New Icons are already in progress as I already said. Concerning the application design I went with the tile interface because pinning those to the start screen will be the way most people will use the App and I believe it is most intuitive that way. Putting switches in there would not make much sense as the App can not change the settings itself (like Connection Manager in Windows Mobile did) but can only link you to the Systems Settings page (which is the way this App works). So I hope you agree that putting a switch in there that would take you to another settings page would only be confusing.
@all: Keep the feedback coming. It is unfortunate that many of the shortcomings of this App are due to limitations I have to live with. Still I'm trying to improve it to suit your needs as much as possible.
How about this for Wifi?
It's a transparent png file so you should download it, otherwise it's only white on white.

I think you didnt understood
I mean a switch for activating each tile.
So like now where you have to hold down d the tile a simple switch with the same effect like
now:
icon you press n hold and get to your homescreen with the new icon
settings like design:
text: wi-fi shortcut switch off (when you switch this on you'll get to the homescreen with the tile, next time you open the app the switch is set to on, so you know wich tile is activated)
underneath a short description
maybe i create a design example with photoshop
Thx for takin feedback serious
I don't have Mango yet, so I obviously don't know what the app can or can't do in its current form, but here is what would be fantastic, if possible:
Have the live tile show the current state of the setting (different icons for on versus off), and tapping the tile acts as a toggle, changing the setting and updating the tile (without the need to open any settings page).
Do the new APIs allow direct control of the individual connection settings by an app, or just a shortcut to the OS settings app?
Mango does still not allow Applications to simply interfere with system settings, which is why I only can open the settings page (I would prefer it differently as well). That way Microsoft ensures that the users always has a GUI presented to him when such settings change.
Concerning the display of the current state of a connection. My personal development version sets the tile Background inside the App to on the Wifi and Data connection tiles if the services to belong to are deactivated.
I was thinking about displaying that state on the start screen tiles as well but as users might not always switch the settings by going through my app and there is no way of getting an App notified of such changes the tiles might display incorrect information which is why I'm not including that feature.
Regarding the on/off switches. I like the idea per se as it would allow people to quickly place tiles on the start screen an would not yank them out of the App for tiles that are already on the start screen. My development version now displays a message when the according tile is already on the start screen. I will think about a way to display that a tile is already pinned to start visually beforehand. The switches would still be weird in the handling as WP7 upon creation of a tile always moves from the App to the start screen.

You could always create a Background Agent that checks the status and updates the tiles accordingly. Though, I think that you can only schedule those to run as frequently as every 30 minutes so there would still be a fair amount of time where things could be out of sync.
I'm more thinking along the lines of making that display a configurable option which tells people when they activate it, that the tiles display might be inaccurate if they change their settings without opening the App.
What I want to avoid is anything that behaves odd without any possibility to explain to the user what is happening or why that is (because it leads to confused users => bad reviews).
That is a valid concern. Hopefully, though, people would have enough common sense (yeah, I know ) to realize that changing a setting outside of your app could cause a delay in the live tile update, but I think your disclaimer pop-up idea should be enough, advising people that if they DO change a setting outside of the app, then the live tile may take up to 30 minutes to reflect the change. Then you could add the background agent component to provide the auto-refresh every 30 minutes.
As for Microsoft not allowing you to change the setting directly, well, that sucks. As much as I like WP7, I sometimes get tired of being treated like little children by Microsoft.
Nice app.
I kind of understand why Microsoft is not allowing Apps to do certain things on their own. E.g. someone could write an App that is downloading huge amounts of data but before doing so disables the Wifi connection. The outcry of affected people would be enormous.
That's why everything that might impact anything aside from the App itself is only accesible through Choosers and Tasks. That way Microsoft knows that the setting only changes when the user sees a suitable UI. (Code analysis might fail at this task due to Reflection invocation of those APIs).
The world would be a better place if it were not for the black sheep in the computer industry but at least I know I can feel quite safe using WP7.
Back To Topic - I'm not sure wether I will include a background agent because it would only be necessary to run IF the user decides to go the other route which he is warned not to do. I'd stick with correcting the tile whenever the App launches and not waste any processing time on checking that value every half hour.
RE: background agent, that's cool, and you're right, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense to consume CPU cycles for something that only might happen.
As for the safety from black sheep issue, the solution seems simple to me. Just as with apps that use personal and/or location data, an app that has the ability to adjust connection settings would require the user to confirm that they want it in the marketplace before purchase/download, and it could also be implemented in a way that the app can't actually do it until you have confirmed it on the phone during the first run. Safety still maintained, and better flexibility achieved, in keeping with the "glance and go" philosophy of WP7. With that said, I still give kudos to MS for even implementing the shortcut APIs. As I understand it, Apple still hasn't allowed them on iOS (at least that is what I have been told by some iPhone users).
BTW, your app sounds great! I just wish Microsoft and AT&T would get off their collective backsides and GET MANGO OUT THERE ALREADY so I could use it!
Background agent will just be confusing.
The most important thing is that you need to close the app directly if you click on a live tile (if possible). Because now your app stays in the stack which is quite annoying. It would be nice if it only went to wifi f/e and just closes the app after it switching. (you could add it to the on navigate from function f/e).
The behaviour should be like this:
click the tile --> wifi settings --> toggle wifi on/off --> click back button --> start screen. unfortunately now your app is in between the "back sequence", it would be cool if it will auto close if not opened trough the Maintile
Wow, it's really weird that I announced and released an app REALLY similar to this last week. It seems odd that two of us would have nearly the same idea at the same time.
Apparently I can't post links, but you'll find the post (first one on the main page) on my site at twistontech dot com. I don't know about you, but your app looks an awful lot like mine, don't you think?

sirtwist

Mine released yesterday and in another forum (PocketPC.ch) someone brought it to my attention that your App exists. I actually downloaded it then and was astonished at how similar they looked.
I guess it simply made sense to visualize all of this that way. (As people say: sometimes a certain idea is in the air and just waits to materialize).
in all cases, great job you have done
good luck
Good job! thanks.

Description:
LED Flashlight is a simple and free flashlight app. It uses the LED light on your phone as a light source (the light used by the camera when taking photos).
Unlike some other flashlight apps that just show a white screen, LED Flashlight can give you a much brighter light.
Even if LED Flashlight is a very simple app, I took my time to polish it and make it the best in the marketplace. I included some special features, most of them not available in other flashlight apps:
Shake to toggle - you can shake the phone to toggle the flashlight
Camera button to toggle - you can use the camera shutter button to toggle the flashlight
Disable lock screen - you can disable the lock screen so that the light does not turn off by itself
Constant light - the LED light does not flicker like some other flashlight apps
Please note that this app will not work on devices with xenon flash or devices that do not have a flash at all.
User reactions.
Some people complain that this app does not work on HTC Mozart. Yes, it does not, because this phone has a xenon flash. Sorry, but there is no way to make a xenon flash light up constantly. I don't have such a phone but I think even the built-in camera app cannot do that.
Version history:
Version 1.1
[New] Flashlight toggle sound introduced.
[New] More settings added and "settings" menu improved.
[Changed] "Prevent lock screen" is now enabled by default.
[Improved] Shake sensitivity adjusted to a more appropriate level.
[Fixed] Crash on some devices when no internet connection is available.
[Fixed] Minor UI fixes.
Version 1.2
[NEW] Live tile settings introduced.
[Improved] Minor UI improvements.
Discussions.
I welcome any feature requests, bug reports or just random thoughts.
Thank you and take care.

As written in description, this app does not work on HTC Mozart. It is not possible to have a flashlight on this phone because it has a xenon flash, not a LED one. I doubt you will find any flashlight app for your phone.
Sorry.

An explanation of the required permissions:
contacts - not really used but is wrongly detected by the Marketplace
camera, microphone, music and video library - those are needed by the flashlight itself, I doubt you will find a flashlight app that does not require those. This is because the constant ON mode for the LED is part of the video functionality. And video = camera + microphone + video library.
movement and directional sensor - this is needed to enable the "shake to toggle" feature. You can switch the flashlight by shaking your phone. This is done using the accelerometer sensor.
data services, phone identity, owner identity - needed for ads. Any ad-enabled app will have those.
If you have some concerns let me know. There is certainly nothing harmful in all those permissions.

Mate, your explanation of the required permissions is totally misleading.
"Because this app is full of ads": The app has a single ad at the bottom of the screen, clearly seen in the screenshots. Yes, this ad could come either from Microsoft, from AdMob or AdDuplex. Who cares about where it comes from?
If you are a developer, which I presume, you should know how ads work. You request an ad and the ads provider either gives you one or fails. If it fails you ask the next provider to give you an ad. This is common sense. Any sensibly written ad-enabled app does it like this.
Even if only one of those ad providers was used, the same permissions would have been required.
"author added all existing advertising solutions for WP7" - you make it sound like a bad thing. Can you please explain what's wrong with that?

Yep, I can try. It's definitely not good: adding more third-party code (what uses internet connection and contains a bugs) is directly affecting to your app performance and stability. Second, using a bunch of different ads providers will not increase your ad unit performance (likely to vise versa). Try to find my topic at Q&A about ads. And third: there are about hundred flashlight apps on market (with similar functionality) and your app must compete with them. Having so many required permissions for that simple app will hardly contribute to this.
BTW, it's just my personal opinion, all up to you (however I'm also not 100% sure - should re-read Microsoft and Google service agreements).

You obviously tried the app. Have you noticed any unstable behavior or performance problems? If yes, please let me know. No one has reported anything like that. While your statement has truth in it, everything depends on the developer taking care of all exceptional situations and handling them properly.

I could argue with that, but in any way this only concerns me as a developer and not poeple who use my app. Developer feedback is always appreciated, but please don't make it sound something bad for all those who just want to light up their way. I will try to find your Q&A thread, a link would be nice.

True, many flashlight apps out there. I have written in my first post how my app differs and what is better. I just checked the two most popular flashlight apps in my marketplace, they require the same permissions, except the "movement and directional sensor". They do not need it because they do not have the "shake to toggle" feature. As I wrote this is unique for my app(well, I haven't checked them all, but still).
Thanks for your opinion.
No, I didn't tried your app yet: just downloaded and looked what's inside. I'm still using my old LED flashlight written about year ago, and it uses two caps only: ID_CAP_MICROPHONE & ID_CAP_CAMERA, and has only 10 Kb size It based on Dave Amenta's code (like all of that kind apps) with a little add-on. If you interested, you may try to search XDA for my or Dave's post about year ago.
As I said before, it's just my personal opinion, not a criticism or app review (if you going to publish something on the public forums, you should be prepared for the different opinions).

Me and Jesús David Gulfo Agudelo AKA @D4rKn3sSyS present you Peek!
This application is a complete redesign of the known "Peek" feature by ParanoidAndroid project, built to work on any 4.4+ ROM. The whole concept lies into allowing users to quickly interact with their notifications, without having to press any button. The new design includes sharper typography, nicer placement of the items, breathtaking new effects and extended functionality (including blacklist). It works on secure locked devices, with the ability to customize what information to show.
How peek works:
When you receive a notification, and screen is off, peek will start polling your sensors. If some movement is detected on your device (either it was on a table and you lifted it, or it was in your pocket and you got it out), peek will show. Sensors will be polled for 10 seconds (by default, customizable) and then it stops doing so, to save battery. It is not possible to simulate the behavior of devices like the Moto X, without affecting battery, since they have special hardware for the task.

Interestingly, I have found that enabling 'always polling' a là the Moto X only has a very small battery impact (maybe around 1% extra per hour). The default 10 seconds has no impact on battery life. Love the feature.
Works very inconsistently on my xperia z2. Success rate under 10% I'll say. Submitted an email for support on the issue, awaiting feedback.

Can you help us describing what is the problem? We've tested successfully on more than 10 devices that we own, with no apparent problems. Just quote this post, me and Jesus will see it and help you. Sorry if I didn't reply to the e-mail, my inbox is crammed with e-mails from Peek, I haven't had time to answer them all.

Currently we have no plans because it would require a major re-design of our code. Its not so straightforward, but its something we can think about for the long run.

Simple problem really. The screen supposed to come on when i pick up my phone and display notifications right, whether past or present?! Mine simply doesn't most of the time. I actually see a little red light indicating the sensor coming on, but Peek doesn't get activated for some reason and my screen remains black. I'm using a Sony Xperia z2 with 4.4.2. Hit or miss basically. Sorry I can't give more info for you, but that's just the reality with my device. I'm testing for a few days to see if i can discern some kind of pattern

Yeah, I didn't want to report the problem, but I thought I should due to the app's infancy. I believe i followed it. I have made sure Peek is a device administrator, and I have made sure notification access is checked as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong but regardless of when I get the notifications, as long as I pick up my phone at anytime, the Peek screen is supposed to activate right? it seems (and don't quote me) that it activates when I get a fresh notification. At one time it activated with me just looking at the phone (without touching it)
I left thepolling a the default 10 seconds, I'm going to put it to always on and see if that helps. I think my problem may be device specific though. Good luck, and thanks
I'm using nexus 4 with FK r208.
I have to say, Peek is a great work for nexus 4. Especially for the poor durability of the power button of nexus 4, Peek massively reduces the usage of power button
Here's a little question:
I find that when the screen just turns off for about 2~3 seconds, a new message accidentally comes in and the LED glitters (controlled by Light Manager 6.0),
I lift it from the table, but Peek does not work.
Is this event not meeting the criteria for Peek to take actions?
BTW, if it's not a must for Peek's functionality, is it possible to remove the "Peek service is running" message from the notification tray?
I would like to suggest to reduce slightly the distance to slide to unlock and dismiss notifications. Currently I have to slide until the very end of my screen to trigger it. Or maybe just me. Thanks for the nice app anyway!
Oh by the way, how to blacklist system apps? Thanks. @franciscofranco

We don't know about those LED apps, they are independent of Peek. Maybe that app is consuming the notification. If that's the reason then there's not much we can about it.

Sorry for what seems like a dumb question but is that 10 seconds polling from notification ARRIVAL, or from picking up the phone (independent of when the notification comes in) Just want to be 100% clear. If it is the former then I definitely have to have it always on for it to be of use to me.

As topic mentioned, how's the battery performance, notifications or the camera changes?
For me pretty much the same as earlier update
If they could just fix the dark theme notification issues that'd be great.
Or give us the bootloader unlock so we can root and fix the phone ourselves would be ideal as well.
So far I deeply regret purchasing this phone due to missing notifications all the time.
Following as I'm curious about the changes too. Haven't pulled the trigger just yet as I need a functional device for now.
@blabba missing in what way? Sounds like something is not configured correctly. Besides floating notifications not working for WhatsApp, I receive all notifications as one would expect with no delays whatsoever.
Dark mode has not been fixed? What does this refer to then?

I told you already not to believe anything Vivo support promises, especially if you chat / speak with someone NOT using Chinese. Basically you could be talking to a wall too. This has been proven now countless times (vivo support promising fixes for dark mode / notifications / battery life / specific apps or whatever and never happened)
And to others - the dark mode fix is for the problems of the status bar previously being broken for some instances (I think until you switch to home screen) when moving being normal mode and dark mode. Some items were missing until you pressed home button (and maybe some other possibilites to trigger this - it was very rare).

Google messages don't show notifications in dark mode, same with most messaging apps I tried (discord, Ms teams, etc...)
I've configured them all with no battery savings, and enabling all notifications etc...
Ironically Whatsapp works fine but I think that's because vivo tests it as it's a popular messaging app in China.
I read on the older vivo x series phones if you change the theme to another English named dark theme, the notifications will work, but it's a mixed bag and I tried that and it didn't work for me so far.
This bug actually is not only in dark mode, but also on vibration mode and silent mode - in case of the later two it's by design.... - also affects connected devices like smartwatch which in those modes doesn't get notifications... (Haven't tested with last update if they fixed those later problems but as they are identical to dark mode I guess not)
Anyone know how to completely disable fingerprint sensor on the lockscreen when we touch it one time? That means it's working like an AOD and stay there all the time. I'm not talking about the option in the settings as turn off the fingerprint display. What I want is to only show the fingerprint display when I double tap on the lockscreen. Samsung has this feature for years to prevent touching the fingerprint sensor and open the phone while we are taking the phone out of the pocket.
Doesn't exist. Same as no option to turn off display on via touch. Missing this makes it impossible to use with screen off in rain as a bike navigation system...
You can only turn off display on by touch by disabling fingerprint all together, which isn't what I want in rain.... Vivo misses loads of such details when it comes to activating or deactivating hardware features.

Weird, I thought to implement it, they just need to throw in a few lines of codes. Like in Samsung, they have a switch to enable/disable fingerprint on the lockscreen to avoid waking up the screen accidentally. With this phone, everytime I take it out of my pocket, it wakes up the screen, even it unlocks the lockscreen if I put my thumb on the sensor area. Not a big deal for everyone, but for me it's annoying.

I never use google wallet, so I don't know if this is a problem wide or just your bank. Will test out this evening and let you know later.

Camera way ahead of the s23U. Google wallet is my only hassle. If I get this sorted, the phone is perfect.
I don't know what to do next though, other than changing bank.

Okay I remember wrong then for this one. I just remember many people writing support told them notifications will be fixed or XYZ will be fixed and clearly nothing is happening there even though Vivo clearly knows about those things.
And yeah the only thing that pushes them to do something immediately is if it's mentioned by XiaoBai (Chinese reviewer also on YouTube besides Chinese social Media)

You can deactivate showing the fingerprint area to solve this. However then sometimes you will click in the wrong spot. The area is still too small for blind use to hit it right all the time
