I haven't been able to get any audio or video streams to work on the kaiser. I have tried both IE and Opera. With my treo 750 windows media player would open and the stream would begin. With the kaiser, I get a message re: save or open stream. Neither selection works. Any thoughts?
Bump please. I can't figure this out.
Pocket Player will stream .pls and other formats as well as wma. I found that the best way to do it is to set up PP as the default device associated with all media types (omfg I wish I could uninstall WMP). Then maneuver to the streaming link on your mobile browser (dito for Opera over PIE) and click on the streaming link and PP should open and pick it up. Works like a dream.
I always use KCRW to test streaming capability - it's the most reliable and stable I have found (not to mention it's also an awesome station...). Click on the "Listen" link and then look for the "Stand Alone Player" links. I prefer mp3 streams.
Hope this helps.
is there a player out there that can download the shoutcast stations that are operating, and then be able to select and play??
much like PSPradio?
i am getting sick of making playlists for the stations that i want to hear on my computer and sending them to TCMP
Thinking about it, someone could prolly make a simple html that could fish for running streams, and link it directly into TCMP

Ditto. I currently download the *.pls on my desktop and email them to my mobile.
I looked months ago and couldn't find any. I was in the same situation and grew tired of TCMP's interface. I finally purchased Resco Radio since it comes with a list of pre-set stations that I can add to or customize. Plus the UI makes it easy to jump between streams while driving. Still I wish something had native Shoutcast support built in.
i use opera mobile to browse and download the playlists and open them in core player. My Kaiser is paired with my car radio via bluetooth stereo audio. works fine for me.
i use opera browser and core player it works flawlessly. do need to enable coreplayer to play .pls files
just my 2 cents
playboy
yeah there is
if you use pocket player (my favorite music player) u can just open it and browse media and serach under web media for anything and it will show a list of any station da is available under shoutcast and u just click play and it will stream it...its amazing!!!!
Use Conduit Pocket Player 3.6, it is a great peice of software allowing you to make play lists, change skins and search thru ur music like iContact (smooth motion thru the list)
Also one other great tool is the "Music Guide", this has all the different Shoutcast genres with loads of radio stations. I was listening to music which i thought I would never hear
It really is great, get the trial to test

I have been using a piece of software called SelectPlayer. This software offers a diverse selection of streaming radio, including shoutcast. The interface is a little dated, but functionality is certainly there.
Check out http://www.selectradio.com/
I use the Kinoma Free Player. Has a bunch of Shoutcast stations built in.

Yep, both Kinoma Play and Kinoma FreePlay have an always-up-to-date list of all Shoutcast stations built right in.
That's in addition to all Live365 stations, complete Audible audiobook support, 500 on-demand albums from Magnatune, thousands of podcasts, and quite a bit more.

Shoutcast
Why not create your own Shoutcast Server and create your own playlist that can be played remotely....then you could post your ip/station name on this forum and eventually create a list of servers/stations?
Is there any way to get Itunes for wm6.1 or what's the best music player for the HTC Fuze? Thanks
Are you referring to a player on the phone or syncing music from the PC? If the later, Windows Media Player does a fine job of syncing music to WM devices.
you can us kinoma to play itunes, but unless you pay for teh program you will have limited access to all teh functions of the program.
Hello the program "mobile Streaming" is preset with the rtsp://
I tried this one to stream rtsp://mobilstream.antenne.de/antenne.sdp and it fails allways to connect.
I thought the rstp is a real player thing. SO what exactly is the application mobile streaming try to do ? Anybody knows more about it ? IS this a real player aplication, and if so why not working if not why is it preset with rstp.
Thanks
I'm no geek but I think it may be all about the file being streamed.
I have had no problems with CorePlayer, HTC own Streaming Media and VLC.
One thing that I have been doing is emailing the stream info to my mobile from my PC and saving .pls files to the mobile.
The only thing I do with realplayer is to get live bbc london radio from the .ram, hope the above helps.
Your rtsp link just don't work. It's either firewall or a router problem, but not of the player.
What does the player do ?
Well it supports rtsp protocol to read H264/AAC (and maybe other) files.
Please note this has NOTHING to do with a real application.
These protocol and codecs are fully standarized, and are the most commonly used ones. (I'd say it's the only proper way to stream actually.)
Hello,
the default mp3 player of this phone doesn't read ID3Tag. I try using any version but it doesn't work.
Another trouble is that now my player doesn't work anyway.
It's a vary bad player!
Is there something better?
Many thanks!
P.S. i've last original firmware with manila 2.5
nitrogen (freeware)
S2P (freeware) 0.58 recommeded. It's more stable.
Im using the latest S2P, it works wonders really.. except it burns more battery than Pocket Player. Also if you use A2DP, you might wanna use pocket player or use the A2DP fix to stop Windows Media Player from comnig up.
S2P! I've used it for years with multiple devs.
