For the power, try this. Make a shortcut of the exe file in windows\startup folder.

You dont get what I mean, i dont want any tray launch,
this application is called "Schap's Power & Wireless service Manager (shows Bluetooth/Wi-Fi on traybar)" , develop by Schap, just only need power_srv.dll and wirelessMgr_srv.dll and enable some register keys...
besides, this Wireless service Manager = WIFI+BT+Flight mode in a icon..
so now, u know what i mean now??
and sorry for my poor english...
now clear
are you sure, that you need only these two dll files? looks like it has own icon "advanced configuration".. did you try to contact someone from hermes section, to give you these two files + reg. keys?

in fact, I got these 2 dlls from Schap's ROM and copy them (include power.exe) into my TYTN II, then import these 2 reg keys, now there r two icons on my kaiser's traybar, but, but, when I enable WIFI/BT/Flight mode,
only WIFI/Flight mode's icons show instead of wireless icon, so maybe need other dll reg. key i havn't found ...
I have asked Schap several times, even pm him, but still no answer, pity....
so only i can do is ask professional persons here...wow -_-
optiquest,
here is a full package of "advanced configuration". i tried to move it to \windows folder and run application, but there is an error msg. could you try and share your status?

if I change commManager in Advanced config (eg: add 3G or del something etc), next time when I reboot pda, I will get some error there...
Advanced config for me is useless except enable cleartype, so I think KaiserTweak will be better when I want to change somethiing in Registry.
hey guys, as you know, the left soft key is mapped for the calender, and i had no issue with it. i used the program in dutty's #7 rom to change it to something else (htc action button).. however, i decided to change it back to calender, and now every time i try to open the calender through the left soft key i get the following error message:
"The file "HTCCalendar" cannot be opened. either it is not sined with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persisits, try reinstalling or restoring this file"
whats going on? thanks
omar
Use a registry editor and go to the following key:
Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112
Change the value of "open" from HTCCalendar.exe to calendar.exe - there is no HTC version of the calendar application, but the soft key changer seems to think there is!
Mark.
hey thanks for your help, i did what you said, and now it gives me the same error message but with Calendar instead of HTCCalendar. ha u know whats going on? thanks
Does your registry key look like this?
\windows\LSK\calendar.exe
If so, look in your LSK folder in Windows via Explorer and I'll bet you'll find it's empty. Mine was and I had the same error as you. All I did to fix it was remove the LSK\ from the registry. Soft reset and it should work, mine does.
Yeah...what he said
Sorry, I forgot to say you had to remove the "LSK" bit from the path in the registry key.....it was late and I was tired OK
Hope it's working now!
Mark.
hey guys, worked perfectly, thanks for all ur help!
omar
I just noticed this fix doesn't stick and will be wiped out during a SR. Maybe it's something I've done wrong.
EDIT: Memmaid was causing this problem during a Quick Clean operation.
Hi folks,
Is there a way to remap the soft keys on the Kaiser?
I am sure there is; I would appreciate it if someone explained to me how.
I had to uninstall Pocket Informant and I can't access the original Calendar app on the left soft key!!!
Many thanks,
MAC

advanced config tool
http://duttythroy.lives-in.eu/
SoftKey Changer
There you go.. Install, soft reset, and its under Start -> Settings -> System
I gave it a try but my expectations were that would be what that soft key would be no matter what program I'm in, but that is not the case. I guess I'll use somethign else like AE Button to get teh keys I want.
Thanks for the post though.
[EDIT]
By the way, after uninstalling, the button assignments remain. Interesting.
Yep use AE Button. It's an amazing tool! Although be careful what you change as it can mess up your device used carelessly.

Thanks very much. I will give this a try.
In the meantime I had to restore a previous version from SPB Backup and this got sorted. I have decided not to re-install Pocket Informant 8 as it caused some isues with ringtones and performance.
I put this on my HTC Tilt and it works awesome, exactly what i was looking for to change the two soft keys.
Hi there, hope everyone is well.
I installed the softkey changer cab , and it seemed to install fine. I was able to find it under settings with no problem and set the left softket to 'new sms'. However when I try to actualy use this from the homescreen i get an error message saying:
"The file 'tnsms' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components could not be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file."
I have tried reinstalling, but got the same problem. I can still send an sms if I go through contacts, or messaging, but would love to have this as a working softkey as it tends to be the function I use the most.
Other than installing google maps and opera mini, there have been no changes made since I received the phone a few days ago. It is a standard HTC tytn II.
I'm completely new to this, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, James.

This helped:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357163
Essentially, change the value of the key to /Windows/(your SMS program)
Mine was tmail.exe.
Now I wonder... how do I not go to the messages screen and go directly to a new SMS?
I'm having the same problem on a Tilt.

Thanks for the advice, I will probably give that a go when I've stopped being so scared of changing registry stuff.
I did find another app that does the trick though. Just make sure you add a shortcut to 'new sms' first (bottom option of the config screen), you should then be able to assign this to either softkey.
Works for me, and I'm able to go straight to a new sms from the homescreen.
Hope it helps, all the best.

Hi guys ,
wired problem ahead - my Calendar didnt working ..and how i know that?
first he stopped to show the next notifications and event in home tab.
second , if i press the word "Calendar" he is not responding (the "Shortcut" in the home tab under the missed calls)
and to prevent stupid answers - yes i have notifications, meetings and event in my schedule to show up
anyone can solve me the problem ?
I have the same problem and It seems to be caused by mun_rus' Backgound Image on All Pages app, The way solved this for now is to use my left softkey for calander, which I edited with schap's advanced config (menu -> more settins-> Key mapping)

The solution is right there at your hands:
Remove "mun_rus' Backgound Image on All Pages app".
That's what I did. Functionality over style!
i also have the same issue. please help, how do I remove that app (actually i don't even know where to find it)?

thanx for an answer. probably i didn't stated my problem clearly. i use garmin DK4.4c ROM and any ROM based on manila interface does not show appointments and tasks in home screen and that makes me crazy. removing skin does not help. there is a system bug.
that's the instruction that i don't understand: Remove "mun_rus' Backgound Image on All Pages app".
maybe if you suggest me some working ROM would be even easier.

Well, this instruction only works if you have this tool installed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432951
It's for having the same Wallpaper on every Page. It was causing the Problem with the Calendar on my Diamond. After removing it, the problem disappeared.
If you don't have this installed the Problem might be in your ROM.
I have made many changes in touch flo, and now i have this problem. Perhaps if I change something in the registry will solve this. Does anyone have any idea what i should do?
If I go to the calendar throw the start menu it run ok..
I found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437325&highlight=calendar
so the problem is that i have installed mun_rus' Backgound Image on All Pages app , but cant find a solution..
