Hello
If you want to hide the notification manager screen, in order to show batery status, sound volume.... when you hit taskbar
delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER
other tips here : http://htc-touch-diamond.forumactif.../astuces-diverses-diamond-2-t12018.htm#145527 (french forum)
It is recommeded to backup the registery setting before you delete it.
Good tip!
when i try to delet the key it says "access denied" - how comes?
Maybe is it in use?
may be. but how not use it? even if i disable touch flo it is still active.

Just delete every item under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER
this is exactly what i tried when i got the hint "no access"
I started my D2 in safemode (with Safemode or PocketPlus) and then i could successfully delete this registry branch.
After doing that I noticed that the green light is not blinking anymore when there is a SMS or MMS....

Great! No more disturbing for your quality life.
I don't know, if my device states (or stated) new sms or mms by blinking lights because I never looked at it.
Since dayligth saving time switch (or whatever is that called in english), my xperia keeps rolling back time two hours behind.
I set rigth time or use timesync, but after some time, clock rolls back 2 hours ago.
Please help, my X1 is now unusable as alarm clock.
have you synced it with your pc?
yes, but time changes when it's not connected to pc.
Look in Settings/Phone/Time Zones.
Is the option "automatic change time zone and clock" off?
There is no that option in my rom.
Look in a registry editor for nitz
There should be two locations
HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting ShowNitzPage = 1 in DWord
This one probably set to 0, therefore you don't see the option.
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL NITZEnable = 1 in DWord
This one is the key that enables/disables the actual setting.
ShowNitzPage is already 1, but there is no tab for time zone.
Option is disabled.
Also, timezone dont get changed. It always stays at +1, just clock is reverting.
Anyway, seems it fixed by itself rigth now (clock didn't changed for hours), but what exactly causes that? I remember seeing simmilar thread on X1 forum, which means i'm not alone.
That has happened two times ot me and I never figured what was the reason. It fixed itself both times...
Problem happened again today and i figured out that i was lazy and didnt set xperioid clock and it seems it changed WM clock to its time which was wrong.

Greetings All,
I've been reading and using tweaks from XDA for a while now, and after tinkering with Windows Phone I think I've finally found something i can contribute.
I've managed to get my HTC HD7 to give a Flashing Green LED for a missed call using old Windows Mobile 5 tricks.
By navigating to:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\
Adding a string value called:
Script
And giving it the values:
av2pf300
To break this down it does the following:
a = Activate Phone
v2 = Vibrate for 2 seconds
p = Play Ringtone
f300 = Flashing LED for missed call for 5 minutes
These are the values that i've chosen for myself. It makes the phone vibrate for 2 seconds before the ringtone kicks in.
I haven't found a way to keep the phone vibrating while it is also ringing, but I find having the flashing LED more of a benefit to me as I'm constantly in and out of my office.
The script value is fully customizable, and more values can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-270040.html
I hope other people find this as useful as I have.
Estens.
have you attempted this with sms or email? neither of the two are supported with led notification by default but maybe a script can force that. Also, is there a way you can control the color of the led? thanks for your contribution!
SMS and email were handled differently by Windows Mobile 5 & 6.
You would go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default\Options and set the default value to one of the following:
* 0 – Show icon
* 1 – Show icon and play notification sound
* 2 – Show icon and vibration
* 3 – Show icon and vibration and play notification sound
* 4 – Same as 0
* 5 – Same as 1
* 6 – Same as 3
* 7 – Same as 3
* 8 – Show icon and notification bubble
* 9 – Show icon and play notification sound and show notification bubble
* 10 – Show icon and notification bubble and vibration
* 11 – Show icon and play notification sound and show notification bubble and vibration
* 13 – Same as 1
This functionality appears to have changed in Windows Phone 7. I have tried both the above method and the Script method that i used for the Ringtone, but neither have worked.
As for changing the Colour of the LED, I wouldn't know where to begin. All I'm doing is telling the system that i want the LED to flash, not to flash green.
It may be possible, and i'll start to look into it now that someone has requested it - I assume that because the low-battery LED warning is Orange it is possible to change it, but that could be a hardware specific factor -- no idea.
Thanks for the reply. Any progress you can come up with would be great.
Doesn't it do this anyway - mine does except the flashing light is orange not green.
It would be a really good option to have it for SMS as well though
I can't see ...\RingTone0\... Please help me! Thanks!

First, are you using a HTC HD7? This is the only Windows Phone device I currently have access to so i am unsure if this will work with other devices (although the registry shouldn't change that much between devices.)
Second, are you sure your in the correct registry hive? i.e. you need to be in HKCU, not HKLM. There is a ControlPanel sub-key in both of these hives, so if your missing some keys i'd just ask you to confirm that your looking in the right place.
If the above does not work I'm not really sure how to progress... this key has been in Windows Mobile since 5.0 (as far as I know), and it's managed to find it's way into the Registry of my Windows Phone 7 HTD HD7 so I'm not sure why it's not there for you.
In regards to the SMS/Email flashing notification - I've tried a few methods of tinkering but still haven't been able.
Will keep you all posted.

Dear Estens,
I'm using HTC HD7 Nodo, but I haven't yet change the ringtones anymore. Is it the reason like this?
I upload the picture about this problem. Please check it and help me. Thanks!
I can see your problem straight away. Your trying to modify the registry on your desktop.
This modification is for the device, (i.e. your mobile phone).
Making changes to the registry on your desktop PC will only affect things on your desktop PC, and changing the registry on your device will only affect your device.
The HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\ registry is on your device so you'll have to dev-unlock your device, install a registry editor and modify it that way.

Quick note on Mango Beta 2.
It appears that if you have this trick in place before you begin the Mango Update it will persist after the update is complete. So be sure to apply this before you update to the Mango beta if you want your flashing LED for a missed call.
As I couldn't find any Daydream for my finally arrived Nexus 7 Dock which fulfills all my needs, I started developing my own one. I'm quite happy with the result and present you:
Lucid - DayDream Screensaver
The main screen of the screensaver is the clock view, which you can see in the 1st attached screenshot. Besides the moving clock & date it can also show:
battery level
weather
unread GMails
missed calls
new SMS texts
next alarm
Also, you get buttons at the bottom to:
toggle night-mode (dim the screen)
start RSS view (3rd screenshot)
start Slideshow view
play/pause music (not every music app is supported)
You can change nearly every color/text size from the configuration screen. On Android 4.2, you'll find the Daydream in the Android settings app -> Display -> Daydream. For older versions, there is a launcher icon in your app drawer and the app can automatically start when the device is connected to a power source or placed in a dock.
The app comes as a trial version, in which the use of the daydream is limited to 30 minutes. You can purchase the full version from an in-app option for a fair 0.50 EUR / 0.99 USD.
Download: Play Store
The screensaver should work with every 4.0+ device, however I could only test it on my Nexus 4 & 7. So if you have any issues, let me know

Hi j4velin,
I purchased your app.
Just 2 things :
When i purchase, the only thing that changed is "Purchase App" disappeared.
Is this correct / ok ?
Secondly, if i want to change date format, can i make it into
dd.MMM, YYYY or something like that ?
thanks

Hi, thanks for the build.
- first good news. After installing new apk, When going to the modules - night mode, everything is working fine.
- now the bad news - when i selected checkbox (checkbox was hidden behind text darken to 0%" ), screen went off. Now i'm not able to disable checkbox ;-(. When i'm going again to the night mode plugin - screen is going off.
- how to delete application settings without loosing license data?

okay, i'll change that again in the next version. you should be able to delete the apps data in the Android settings, it should restore your license automatically
edit: attached another version which gives you a 3 seconds countdown before actually turning the brightness to 0%

perfect. 3 seconds is quite short time.. but i can handle it.
Thanks very much for support.

P.S. automatic dimming based on the light in Lux is nice feature. i like that.
P.S.S. When changing value of a Lux and i'll put 5.0 and after that delete, delete, delete (to have empty value). Application stops responding.
I just started using this last night. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to update notifications when they come in while the daydream is opened. It only shows the one's it knows about when launched. Is it just me? If not, is there any way to change this?
i recently purchased your app and I love it but is there any way you would be able to have lucid daydream set as default action when it is docked, currently when i dock my phone i get a "Complete action using" pop-up before you app starts. It would be great if you added this to your app, I've added a picture to show what pops up.

what Android version do you use? does Lucid actually start when you dock your device? have you rebooted once?
Great app but the cpu usage is always used to its maximum. Also I'm missing one function . I don't want my phone to be turned on while night so it would be great if You would add some options to disable Your app between set time.

when not using the "night-mode", the app should set the display brightness to 10% if it's not already darker. when using the night mode you can set it to 0% on supported devices
Thank you for this!
Seems nice, willing to take a try.
Please disable lockscreen as in the android clock day dream. One of my primary uses is as a screen saver where I don't have to unlock I can just swipe the screen. Why would you need screen lock if it's on a charger/docked.
Thanks. Best daydream app so far. Worth the money

Where is AM/PM?
So where exactly is the option for AM/PM? This is usually "t" or "tt" but I noticed that your App seems to have left this out, although not all of us are in the military NOR do we venture outside our "box" so we need to know if it is DAY or NIGHT without looking outside.
Can you please add this?
Thanks.

This not solves the problem. I don't need this only in home. I a lot travelling.
I try with secureTask plugin with off and on keyguard but this disable all securelock.
Well it sounds like the app just can't launch over the keyguard, so the task can't complete till the phone is unlocked. If you're comfortable with it, you can change the timeout (time it takes for the lock to be activated) to a really high number before you go to sleep, then after the app wakes you up, have it changed back to normal.
Thanks for solution but this not solve the problem. In Your idea every day before I go to sleep (when I activate alarm) I should count how many time screen should be unlock. I not everyday wake on this same time or it's time when I stay 1-2 weeks in this same place and wake up every day in this same time.
Every time when I set alarm I must count and set unlock screen Is not good idea.
Maybe somone else have Idea how to launch it?

which counting are you talking about? I think he meant setting the grace time of lock screen to something like 7*24 hours, that way even if screen is off, you don't really engage the lock.
This could be a security drawback and might affect your Moto display/Samsung Always screen on function if you have them.
OK maybe I something wrong understand.
Maybe You can write how I should configure this task? It will be very helpful to me
Now in task profile I set time to start and end my alarm task.

When the screen is turned off, it takes time to activate the keyguard/lock. Usually it's set to 1 second or less, so as soon as the display is off, the lockscreen is on. This can be changed (and in fact this is what Smart Lock does) so it won't activate as fast. Smart lock won't work in your conditions, so we can use Tasker plugins.
You need to get the plugin Secure Task if you are not rooted, Secure Settings if you are. Secure Task needs permissions granted in ADB, but the Help will explain the process.
Once you have it working, you can add the "secure settings" action for lockscreen timeout (see screenshots, it may be called something different on your device.)
There's a read action as well as write, you should read the initial value before changing it, save it, and restore it after the alarm goes off.
(In the Secure Settings plugin it's called Device Settings but other than that similar.)
Thanks for this
Now I undarstand that:
I have other profile where is task what will launch my app and where I set time to start this profile.
If I want that profile work - app launch correctly - I must before I go sleep launch other task (this what You wrote) what don't secure lock my screen.
Right? Did I understood correctly?
Yes, if you have a sleep profile, or if not, set it to activate at 2230 or whenever your bedtime is. The task will simply be Secure Task - secure settings - Read secure lockscreen_timeout (or whatever your device shows), so you can have a global variable of the typical timeout. Then Write secure lockscreen_timeout 99999999, as I posted in the screen shots.
And then have your wake up task activate at 7 or whenever, and then redo the lock timeout to the saved variable.
Ok,
But for example:
1. If I set this task to start 23:30 but since 23:10 i will not touch my phone this not work because screen still wil be secure lock ?
2. If I set this task to start earlier for ex. 21:00. On this time my phone is not protect if some one stole it and any one who get my phone will be have full access. Not always in this same time I will in the home.
Idea to solve my problem is good maybe someone else will need it.
For me is not good
It's not solve my problem
Maybe somone else have any idea how I can launch app when screen is secure lock

hmm that's weird. You must have done/changed something. I don't think any app, especially Tasker has changed anything since then.

I know that that is weird. But I don't know what happened because I done nothing special. Just made a task and profile and that was working. Earlier when I changed Rom and restore task everthing work good. Now stop working and I dont know why :|
Better... When this stop working I had try allone and try searching solution.
I made task like this:
1. Secure Settings - Configuration: Screen & Keyboard Light 10sek
2. Status Bar Set Expanded
3. Launch App: eskaGO
4. Wait 10 sek
5. Autoinput Action - Configuration Type: Text Value: Tasker
6. Autoinput Global Action - Configuration Action: Home
And this WORKED! it worked but every second time. Exactly the second time.
Because I thinked that is problem with my phone I made factory reset one more time and this it stopped working completely.
So I don't want belive that so powerful app like Tasker where is so much plugin and a lot of people who very good know this aplication that no one find solution for this.
Sorry I still don't understand your explanation...
If I have it right, you are trying to make an alarm clock out of the radio app.
Here is what I did to implement this idea:
trigger:
- display off
task:
launch app: notepad
alert: beep
result:
as soon as the screen turns off, I heard the beep. When I turned on the screen, I saw notepad app in the foreground.
requirement:
you will need to add something to trigger this during screen off. That extra condition should not turn on the screen. If it does, you should re-consider this whole condition.
The fact that notepad is running in foreground after unlocking means that the task was carried out as intended. If you can run the radio app, the playing should be turned on automatically the moment the app starts, or error you will have radio app running without actually doing anything.
if all these fail, please post a screenshot of your profile, task and log.
good luck!
How about using Appcloner for this? You clone the app and give it the capability to run on to of the lock screen. That's it. Good luck.
