Is there any way to make these two apps from the hero rom to work on Cyanogen? Or is it impossible since donut was implemented?
I searched around and found some the filpicker.apk, and the .lib files that were made to work on a 1.5 rom and installed them on my phone but the apps just force close every time.
Is there anyway to make these work?
Hi:
Does having running apps slow the Hero performance?
I have constantly running the following apps
-Autoconference
-Voice called ID
and therefore (I assume) "Text to speech extended"
and I am kind of falling in despair with the lag of the Hero. I like it a lot, but the loading time opening apps, or popping up the keyboard is making me mad...I want speed, performance and eye candy...I think we all HTC Hero owners want this and bought it for that reason.
I wander if lag is experience in Android 1.5 in the hero + sense...what will happen to our phones with the Android 2.0 update?
Why does HTC sell products not fully tunned and let XDA or other developers fix their phones?

Modaco's MCR 3.1 is much, much faster, IMO. When that's released to the public, I recommend upgrading.
Other than that, you can try a program like Autostarts, which I haven't used, but apparently it allows you to prevent certain apps from loading at boot time. Also, TasKiller is great, it lets you kill individual apps, or all running apps (it includes an "Ignore" list so any apps you don't want killed, won't be.)
As for 2.0, I've run Lox's Kogudroid ROM, and it is very very speedy, however it's missing the HTC software (aka it's vanilla android.) Once we have an official 2.0/2.1 ROM from HTC, I may go with a vanilla ROM like that one. I think I could pass up the HTC widgets for the speed improvement... but we'll see how the official HTC ROM runs, I suppose.
A lot of apps that i could download are no longer available on the market.
For example the game "spades" shows up but no download button appears. I could download that app before as well as many others. But when I wiped my nook those apps were not downloadable from the marketplace. So i use my phone to download them and then put them on my nook.
Is there a fix for this?
Assuming that you are rooted, it depends on what you are running.
If you are on rooted stock 1.3, there is no known fix for the missing Market Apps (or missing Install button).
If you are on CM7, there are ways to get the Market to show the missing Apps by adjusting the LCD density. There are differences of opinion as to whether this fix is temporary or permanent.
Search a little and you will find a number of theads discussing this issue.
I was going to market to check updates (if any) and headed to my apps and it was blank page.. But when i brows market or if i go to all apps it shows what is installed etc.
I want to ask if anyone else is having this after installing German ICS (And CF-Root)
It could also be CF3D (market fix) causing it but wanted to tell u guys if any one has countered sutch thing or gets it too :L
just that...is it posible to do it? to integrate two apps in one? and not totaly oposite ones, just want to integrate mms.apk with messaging metro beta, i want wp7 ui but with one app, cause i allways get conflict with those kind of apps (not showing new message etc)...
