You might be posting this in the wrong section of your brain The guys n gals on the board are generally a happy and helpful bunch, but we always prefer for you to make an effort, even the most feable attempt at failure, before asking questions asked a septendecillion times before.
Have a look at the index page, and you can probably match your device to a picture of your phone. Read the rules on the board (posted in the General thread). And please read everything you can on the wiki, or even google for it.
Basically, the radio rom is the bit that does the radio bit of your phone - communicating with the phone (which is basically a "radio"). You shouldn't need to upgrade the radio part of the phone if you're having no problems.
Upgrading the OS part of the phone will give you new software etc. But the radio is normally fine unless you specifically know that there's a better version around.
But read first, ask questions later.

Well, apparently there is no way to tell if your phone is CID unlocked just by looking at it. you can check out the thread about unlocking your device that-s in this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435
and do it. it doesn't hurt, and then you can be sure you have an unlocked device.
then you can flash any wizard ROM you like (provided you do have a Wizard, of course )
enjoy!
Yea just follow the guide. its pretty easy.
ok one last thing....my IPL and SPL are both currently 1.05....so do i need to downgrade first or can i just flash a new ROM straight away ?
anyone ???

Before you tell me to reflash my radio, i did. like 20 times. nothing
Whoever wrote that unlocking program messed up BIG time.....

thx capitan obvious!!! did you read my original post? i tried EVERY radio!!
You're not very polite
Besides, the unlocker worked perfectly for many many many people here, so i would not say that Olipro messed around here.but anyways...
did you reflash the same Radio Version all the time or did you try different ones?? I had Versions with which the same problem occured, no voice, no ringer, no sounds. 1.64.08.21 worked for me

Its really funny how you are the only individual that flashing the radio didn't help. And before you go talking about OLI, jocky and the likes that made the program so you could get rid of the bloat and flash works of art that this forum provides, I'd look inward and see if you might have done something wrong.
You know what, Im gonna make it real easy. If you have a 6.1 rom then you need a 6.1 radio. Same goes for 6.0. However some cooked roms are at$t specific and you have to have a at$t radio. A little more information such as the radio you are using and the rom would be really helpful.
haha simultanuous post and NO, your original post does NOT tell WHICH Radio Versions you tried...

While we all understand that you're frustrated due to the problems you've been having, there is no need to insult the people who have created these tools.
Please also understand that the more information you give, the more we can help. The other members are just trying to tell you that what you've told us is not enough for us to assist.
You also have to understand that many MANY people ask similar / redundant questions all the time. The answers are usually the same, and thus, some users are more disturbed by these redundant questions than others.
Finally, ask nicely for assistance. No one is required to assist you, so remember that a bit of honey always gets you further than a lump of turd.

Ok, why did you try to change radios? That rom comes with 1.64.08.21. Did you HR at the "Tap here to align" screen prior to setting up all your apps? Have you HR since this happened to see if it fixed it?

Listen and listen good...
YOU RADIO IS INCOMPATIBLE (means not compatible; not the right one).
Find a Compatible Radio that matches your dam ROM (whatever the f that is) READ READ and READ again..and find it.
There are experts and know 30000% more than u on this site..respect their help or dont post anymore.
Worst case scenario...revert back to your old ROM that work and leave us in peace
@ p1tater-and why would i want to delete all my data?
and 2, if the "experts" KNEW that their unlocker would f-up the radio, why wouldnt they fix it?

Please provide the following information so we can better assist:
Which ROM was installed? Please tell us what it says from Start /Settings / About and Device Information from your phone.
Which SIM unlocker did you use? Jockyw2001 or Olipro?
Are you sure that you've completed the unlocking successfully?

The unlockers have been used successfully time and time again. However, responsibility for it's results lie within your ability to accept failure and to follow through all the steps properly.
Continuing to lay blame on others is quickly making you lose the people trying to help you.

Holy Hell. The rom you pointed to came with a radio, that I know for a fact works. Why did you try to change radios? If it didnt work straight out of the box then you have a bad flash and the radio section is bad.
Edit:
I did feel bad for you and decided to come back and help but you wont listen so have fun playing with the nice new shiny brick you call a phone. You could get better reception from 2 cups and a string before I come back to help. I'm done.

1. no idea what my original ROM was, now im running "CE OS 5.219202 (build 19202 dutty's) v6.1
2. i used the olipro one
3. it said "phone unlocked" so im guessing it worked.
im not sure if i stated this before, i was running dutty's ROM for 2 weeks, and just recently (sunday) unlocked it.
for all those telling me to read the stickies, there is only one relevant to my situation, and it tells you to try a different radio. i did that. many times.

theres a thread about removing Hardspl somewhere
it involves USPL-ing the files from inside the RUU
yeah t-mo's rom updates are garbage. you can easily go back to an earlier on by downloading one of the original t-mo roms in the dev section. Then just uspl it right on your phone with Flash Center of whatever you wanna use.
Simple as that

Hello there!
I just created an account and would like to apologize in advance for any rookie mistakes; using the wrong terms/words and expressions, posting in the wrong place etc... I have seen a lot of very helpful threads but I have yet to find an answer to my issues with my phone.
I have an HTC One (I believe it is the M7) and the service provider is Verizon. The phone was rooted when I bought it and has
"NuSenseSIX-KitKat-m7vzw_RC4.2_032914"
I am having problems with using a bluetooth earpiece together with the phone. (You will get a ticket if driving and talking in the state of WA) and it drives me nuts! I have tried 3 different brands/kind of bluetooth devices as well as made sure that they work on other phones.
I am able to connect/pair the devices - no problem. I can listen to audio, both music/sounds on the phone as well as during calls or using Voxer Walkie-Talkie. There was never an issue on my end as far as hearing sound BUT, not once have I been able to be heard on "the other end". All they hear during a call is a "high-pitched crackling, static, robotic, very annoying" noise which makes the device useless for its purpose.
I have tried restarting, repairing and whatever other "simple" troubleshooting steps I could think of.
I did back the phone up and then did 2 or 3 factory resets, I have "un-rooted and re-rooted" the phone using SuperSU (which was already installed). I have tried to do the wipe/reset/recovery procedure a few different ways, one being a complete removal of Dalvik, cache, and whatever else shows up (sorta scary since I don't have very much experience)
Anyways, I am stuck and wonder if there is anyone out there who can possibly help me..? Is there a "fix" that I can install/apply or is there a better ROM I can use? I'm afraid to try "ROM or Kernel-swapping" on my own before I get some feedback on the procedure...
Sorry for the long post but I really need help....
Thanks - Bob the Swede

Hello Bob, welcome to xda!
Bluetooth call audio was fixed in version 6.01 of NewSenseSIX rom. Your actual version is RC 4.2 which mean "Release Candidate" version 4.2. RC versions are not fully stable, but stable enough for average users to test them. Latest stable version of NewSenseSIX for verizon htc one is 8.0. Updating your rom to latest version should fix your issue.
You might also want to update your firmware to the latest version for more stability. (will be mentioned in the rom thread if required)
You'll have to use twrp recovery version 2.7.0.8 or newer like said in the rom thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693502
keep in mind that Verizon variant of the M7 have different partition layout than the internation version(M7_UL), so only use stuff (rom/recovery/tools) that is compatible for Verizon M7 (M7VZW)

The link posted by @alray above comes with the download and instructions for flashing TWRP. And the second link takes you directly to the rom.
The only way it could be easier is if he comes to your house and flashes it all for you

you will first need to upgrade your firmware like said in the rom thread. Click on the link in that thread "Latest Radios and Firmware are REQUIRED and can be found here"
follow instruction to flash the latest firmware in that thread
then flash twrp 2.8.0.1 (also linked in the rom thread just above "Latest Radios and Firmware..." link.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then push the rom to your phone (either using adb push/adb sideload/usb otg) and install it using twrp.
like cisa said above, if you follow the instructions in that thread andtake your time, everything will be good.
THANK YOU!!!
I did it! Thanks to you guys! alray and clsA
I am now on RC8.0 and it is AWESOME! BT works great along with all the extra stuff included.
