as i was on the go i saw
wolfenstein 3d classic (not sure about the classic part, but there was something more than just wolfenstein 3d in the name) for 1,99$ in the market.. As i have no creditcard yet i couldn't buy it and now it disappeared from market. some1 knows something about it?
I did a google search and it turned up this
http://www.idsoftware.com/wolfenstein3dclassic/
Hope that helps
i saw wolf 3d lite and downloaded it. it was free. aint that great. the guy who ported it put controls on the touchscreen and you tap the main area to fire. not that great.
I'm hoping scheffs blend picks up the source of both quake and wolfenstein =]

Hey guys heres my first diamond app im going to make a few games that use the tilt sensor i have a few weeks free soon so keep all them ideas coming
it just simulates a bunch of differently sized balls but its cool (try it in a car with it being held flat) lol
Link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/133720330/Ball_Simulation_Ver_0.31.rar
i reposted this because the original had a bad download link sorry guys
also if you give me any ideas for small games / apps then i will try to make them as i have some free time soon
hello?
no one wants to try it
if you have can you tell me what you thought please
i also have made a magic 8 ball application using the g-sensor too
link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/133799977/Magic_8_Ball_0.1_alpha__bug_free_just_not_finished_.zip
im also working on
im also working on a game kinda like flow but that uses g-sensor for controls and stuff should be out in a week or so
Keep it up. We need all the gsensor apps we can get. I like your ball car screensaver idea.
Surur
Just tried it... would be fun if the Balls would react to one another as well as only to the "walls".
But as a "Demonstration" of the G-Sensor it's pretty good.
i will be adding collision to all the balls soon and some other things im also making a game similer to flow that uses the g-senser and i also made an 8ball app
all of this looks promissing.
A game like flow would really be cool!!!!
How about Wii Fit game that balance the ball and get the balls in the hole.
a wii fit balence game might work
i might give that a go to sometime
funny stuff, both.

now that's a good idea!!
or a PSP-Patapon type game!
I think we just need some clever XDA-developer-pro to make a button-mapper so you can replace any left/right - up/down movement of the d-pad with the g-sensor - now that'd be good
Hi. Could it be possible for someone to make this game working on android?
Name of game is SiL - The Silhouette Game, http://games.softpedia.com/get/Shareware-Games/SiL-The-Silhouette-Game.shtml
It has version for pc and for symbian so could someone make that for android?
I would really love that. It's also on iPhone now. Remember this game from my Nokia N8, how I loved it. Best phone game ever.
Is there a Doodle Jump like game for WinMo?
So there aint a game like this?
Closest I've seen is to install XDAndroid (click the banner in my signature) and then download the Abduction game from the market (it's free!).
id love a game like this
no games like this one? i love it that the only thing that make iphone cool lol
try boing, it's freeware and has a similar gamepconcept
Hello folks,
I've been looking around for a couple of games for the Nook STR. I've got several "slow movement" games to run properly: sudoku, reversi and gobandroid.
Is there any other recommended game? A RPG maybe? Maybe card games?
One Word - Samurai II.
[ Joking - sorry =( ]

I don't agree... The Nook clearly deserves a forum more than most of the devices that have been crowded into those other forums. Not only that, the Nook is pretty much a Nook Color under the hood =\, so optimizations in the Nook Color could possibly be brought over if the devs or future devs are made more aware of what's going on with it.
Besides... Every Nook Touch topic i've seen is labeled with [N2E] not to hard to avoid =|
Chess works great! It is almost as if it were meant for it all along. I am surprised frankly that B&N didn't bundle a few little board game apps on the Nook2 in the first place.
Also, Akinator (guessing game) works as well.
Tic tac toe!
Tic tac toe works with a friend using Freenote!
Okay, the Nook running Freenote only serves as scratch paper to play the game, but nevertheless it worked.
alchemie with textmode and tap to combine is playable too
The sudoku app Andoku Sudoku ( com.googlecode.andoku ) has fairly little flickering.
Has anyone found a sudoku app that is even better suited for the Nook eink screen?
Please name specific apps (not just types of apps). There are a whole lot of chess apps so getting details on one that runs well on Nook saves time.
This is the chess I tired:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.chess
Games working on my Nook Touch:
Crimson Fields
Andoku
Four in a Row HD
Find it on the market
Tried some, but most of them has some level of ghosting:
Working so far:
- Klondike
- Reversi free
- Nemo picross
- GObandroid (to play Go! - very good)
- Super Sudoku
- Klondike free
- Dark nova (used to love Space Trader on my old Treo)
Still looking for a viable RPG - I guess Eye of the Beholder ou Bard's Tale style would work.
andoku
I have andoku running, but cannot access the check puzzle feature. Suggestion?
Never mind ..went to andoku 2. Works fine
Nethack and the Slashem variant are both great for the nook! Maybe its a little to retro for some but IMO you can't beat a classic like nethack. There's your rpg
tried nethack, but the screen was too darn small. Will try slash'em!!! Thanks
Here are some other great games:
Slitherlink.
Curvy (For two colored puzzles you have to set the second color to the middle between white and black).
Droid Fish. One oft the best chess engines with a very nice sleek design, perfect for the touch. Cuckoo engine with very low setting is great for kids learning chess - it makes a lot of mistakes
Shift. Black and White! Sadly almost unplayable without multitouch. Edit: Search for v1.2, works great and is maybe the only platform game working on STR
Search for "Simon Tatham's Puzzles" in Market. It is great.

@apeine: Map volume up/down to sidebuttons --> zoom in and out
Thanks for the tip, gogolo2. Will try that! My buttons are already mapped.
Does anybody know where I can download FALLEN REALMS? It is a free app, but I couldn't download it through market, even though it is an android 2.1 version app. Tried all non-official download sites, but almost all of them lead me back to android market, and looking for "fallen realms apk" took me to almost 35 sites that I couldn't get anything at all.

Why not download it on your phone then back it up... and side load it to the nook.
Do you think we could compile a list of apps designed for 3D phones and have it as a sticky? It is such a pain in the butt searching the words "3D" in the market as there are a ton of non-3D apps in it.
Can we compile a list? One I know of to start off is "Phereo". It is a 3D picture sharing application that lets you upload and share any 3D pics you take with others. (note: looking for glasses-free apps)
Here is the link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.phereo
Anyone got more they could share?
Here's what others have found and shared:
Games
SpeedX 3D
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.beepstreet.speedx (has the glasses free 3D support if you get the paid version.)
Balloon Gunner 3D
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bobw.balloon&feature=search_result (a basic airplane game that you try to shoot down balloons)
Gun Bros
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.glu.android.gunbros_free&feature=search_result
Apps
Archersoft S3D and Wikitude 3D http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17408940&postcount=7
Twin Pic 3D https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teamwin.twinpic&feature=search_result (photo sharing)
Phereo 3D https://market.android.com/details?id=com.phereo&feature=also_installed (photo sharing)
Here's another one to add to the list.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bobw.balloon&feature=search_result
Its a basic airplane game and you try to shoot down the balloons.
SPB Shell 3D added 3D support awhile ago, but its still considered experimental.

Actually, I was looking for apps that utilize the glasses-free screens. SPB only gives you the option to use glasses with their app. (under labs)
I hope they are able to get it to work with our phones without the glasses sometime soon, it would look sweet.
Speedx 3D has the glasses free 3D support if you get the paid version.
Thanks, that's a fun game.

Both are running fine on mine as well. Though I don't live in an area that would benefit from AR, I'll be sure to use it next time I'm in a more populated city.
