Today I decided to start cooking a rom for my touch hd.
I have some ideas I don't want to share now (because I don't want to promise anything)
So currently I am learning on how to cook a Rom.
But I need your help. If anybody can give me some tips on how to start, what I have to do, where I can find nice OEMs (like the new manila oem) just tell me.
Maybe with your help I can cook a good rom really fast.
Ok, I know I can't be as good as Dutty, Laurentius or Davideuck, because as soon as I am as good like them are now, they have been better.
And BTW, I'm from Luxembourg, Europe so my English isn't that good.
Thanks folks,
Cliophate
I guess you should have some more concrete questions. You can find the new Manila in the Topaz ROMs, which you can download and extract.
Most of your questions have been answered already, so you should just read up the various threads around here.

Hello Community,
today i received my new mda vario from t-mobile. Of course i immediately installed some programms, but thats not enough anymore i want to upgrade to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 if possible. I searched lots of hours in this forum, but i still didn't find a good rom for me.
Could you please help me to find a good rom for me? It should have this "touchflow", to use the phone without a stylus, like an iphone. Other things are not that important...
Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: Sorry, if my english is not that good, i hope you understand me

You should search the WM6 section. You can read a lot of opinions there
I'm using the AMP ROM with very pleasant results (without need to overclock!!)
cheers
there are plenty of "Best ROM" out there...you just need to read and test one by one. There is no 1 so called-best ROM suit every individual. You have to experience it yourself. Last but not least, read before you flash. Everyone here was newbie before, it took sometimes to get familiar. But believe me, all sources are here in XDA.
Good luck and happy reading,
Cheers
I would just like to say thanks to everyone here, while not always 100% noobie friendly, I have found so much information on this site. I started by trying lots of different software. After much reading and more reading I finally decided after to upgrade so flashed my Offical HTC 6 Rom to HardSPL and Dutty's Rom instead of the HTC WM6.1. Even I managed it, which is saying some thing.
Not only has the ROM made such a big performance difference, but the apps have changed the usability of my device.
Thanks again to everyone...
Not that I did anything to help you, but you're welcome lol
I don't think I helped either, but on behalf of the entire comunity - you are welcome.
Hi all,
I have just ordered a Blackstone to replace my Elf Very excited about this!
I have been using xda-dev for years for ROMs, friendly advice, and general HTC banter; but usually hang out at the Elf/Elfin pages
Can someone please tell me what ROMs are available for the Blackstone, and which ones most folk use/find stable.
Cheers!
next time use search

There are a lot of WM6.5 ROMs available on the net. Thanks for the guys who spent hours and hours to deliver those ROMs.
but...With this kind of offer on the net, I would love to choose for the best ROM for me. Are there peeps on this forum who tested these ROMs? Benchmark results?
I would love to see the results of the comparisons of the WM6.5 ROMs for Diamond.
Thanks in advance!
sorry
this question is not welcome....will end in fighting...always does.
start reading and find out what you then think is best for you....and get flashing!
good luck....thread closed

As much as I like to see new chefs, I still feel this should have been asked in an existing thread, possibly this one
