Hello,
I use HTC Touch Viva, my problem is that I dont get delivery reports, when I insert my SIM in another phone, and try sending messages, I am getting delivery reports, so this is not a a issue with the Service Provider.
Also when I insert some other SIM card on my HTC phone, then I get Delivery reports...so I dont see a handset issue also...
So where is the issue? Have searched alot but no success...
Tried SMS delivery Fix etc...but no luck..
No response?? What I figured out is when I have delivery reports on on my SIM, after sending the report, I guess the report is coming however i think its getting auto deleted, as the light on the phone goes on automatically...
Guys I need to solve this issue pls help...Have tried Hard Reset also but not luck....earlier I use to get reports...but since last 20-25 days I am facing this issue...
How to enable delivery report forever? It's so annoying to enable it everytime for every SMS (the checkbox)
Try to look in registry for sms settings:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings
SMSDeliveryNotify -> 1 - anable sms report
ShowDateTime -> 1 - show date and time
SaveSent -> 1 - save sms that you send
SMSAvailable 1 -> 0 - ?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings
SMSNoSentMsg 0 -> 1 - disable "sms was send" message
You will find everything there. I have no problems with sms reports on my device, the SMSDeliveryNotify key is set to "1" and i get report on every sms that was send.

i'm not really sure it's the same problem....
>connection conflict switching from mms to emails and viceversa
(modified from previous version)
Dear All,
emails work fine when i use emails only, and mms work fine if i use only mms,
but each time i send mms and then an email (OR VICEVERSA) and i go back to the first type of message, the software still refers to the last connection and the messages obviously are not sent. So i can use one type of message then the other type, but if i try to go back to the first type of messages, the connection activated is the one for the second message type and then i can't sent any: the only solution i have each time is to quick-reset the unit and do all the settings for all the connections from zero (either using the quick auto-configuration file supplied by the distributor or doing the settings manually).
it has always been like that (bought new in jan 2006). according to the distributor everything should work properly as the unit is "perfectly compatible-compliant", so i took it to their service center and few months later they gave it back saying everything is fine... but the problem is still there and the service center has seen the problem is still the same but there's nothing they would do! i can't understand... would you please help me?
please help!
thank you
i am using duttys dualtouch v4 with radio version 1.27.12.32
when i try to send text messages..it says sent but the person never recieves them. Also, people send me text messages and i dont get any of them
any ideas??
anyone...?
please please please can someone try to help me??
same problem...
contact your carrier this sounds like a network problem not anything to do with the radio or indeed the phone itsself.
Only thing I can think is Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connection Setup. And Re run your connection set up.
If that doesn't work Start -> Settings -> Connections -> SMS Service. Swap it to the other option as see what happens.
I too have the same problem last time. This was because I turned of the sms notification. I was too lazy to troubleshoot what was wrong so I just turned it back on and all the SMS was sent and received
I have the same problem as well. I have tried flashing different roms (dutty and htc). Txt notification is still on, and I've tried JimmyMcGee's suggestions.
I did install a threaded txt app, but didn't like it, so I unistalled it. Since then I've had nothing also.
Greetings,
I purchased an unlocked 8925/Tilt over the weekend and had great success using it immediately on the TMobile network. This morning I noticed my SMS messages would not send. I could receive messages, but got the dreaded "Your text message cannot be sent." dialog.
I've checked the SMS Service Center number (via Settings / Phone / Services / Get Settings) and from what I can find via google it appears to be right.
I last used the SMS yesterday about 7 PM and it was fine. This morning at 7 am it gave me this message and has continued for the last 4 hours.
Anyone have any thoughts??
Thanks!
UPDATE: As it turns out the phone WILL send the SMS messages, but only when I have connected to a voice call.
Did you try a soft reset?
SMS not sending
Thanks for the reply.
I should have stated... I have performed a soft reset as well as a hard reset. I have verified the SMS Service Center number is correct as well.
Anyone else ever run into this?
Here's a stupid question, sorry if it offends: Have you tried multiple recipient numbers, i.e. perhaps the one that is failing is due to the number you're sending to, not your device?
cannot send SMS
Not a stupid question. I've tried numbers on different carriers with no luck.
I've called TMobile, and they want to me to try my Sim in another phone which I will have to try later this evening.
Just thought it was strange that it worked fine, I went to bed, and it quit working. Perhaps the Sim card went bad. I've had it a long time.
Tilt cannot send SMS away from home area
After days of testing, hard resetting and scanning this board I appear to have come up with the solution.
I installed "Advanced Config", adding a button to the Comm Manager for 3G and disabling 3G. Not an issue for me as 3G isn't available on TMobile in my area.
If I continue to have trouble I will try replacing the phonesettings.dll and changing the phone band as mentioned in this thread.
Thanks to help from this thread:

HELPPPP
I've been having a similar issue for the past 4 days. I'm using dutty's 6.1 rom. I used to be able to send/receive sms and mms messages. One day, mms messages wouldn't work anymore so I did the auto connection setup in the settings panel and it corrected the mms problem. However, sms messages can't be sent out anymore. I always get the message "Your text cannot be sent." I can receive sms messages but cannot send them out. I've tried searching the forums and it seems like others are in the same boat. There is a thread stating that I should turn off 3g in my comm manager, but it is already disabled. I've tried sending the text message with 3g on and off. It doesn't work no matter what. I've also trying to setting the band of the phone for gsm 1800 like another thread had instructed, but that doesn't work either. It isn't a sim card problem because I can put it into another phone and send and receive them just fine.
Some one help me, please!
anyone have ideas?
figured it out. changed the setting back to gsm mode. i must've changed it to gprs somehow.
Hi all...
I was wondering if people more experienced could help me with a strange problem.
I can't seem to send or receive sms'es. When I send an sms, nothing happens, and the message just sits there in the "Outbox".
When I send an sms to myself (from another phone), the phone WAKES UP, but no message shows up. So obviously the phone is receiving the message but it's not showing up? Maybe it's being blocked somewhere?
It was working fine before 2 days ago, and the only thing I can think of which I've done during the past 2 days was set up push mail with Exchange 2007. Would this affect things?
I've checked my settings, sms is set to send via GSM and the service center number is correct.
Also to confirm - I've tried hard-reset and the phone received sms'es fine.
But as soon as I reload my backup, it no longer receives/shows the sms'es being received. So something is block the sms from showing up. What program/setting would it be?
hello,
Lately i have been trying all kind of roms on my mobile, but they all seem to have the same problem. sometimes when i try to send an sms it does not send it or it sends it many hours after i pressed send. wich is really anoying. (last time i also recieved an sms many hours after )
when i reset my device and go to sms folder i can force it to send it. ( so after reboot it somehow resends the sms automaticly ) or i get the error can not send sms.
So is this a known problem?
i thought it was the provider first. but since it has been doing it for weeks i am not sure about that.
thanks for your help.
