QUESTION:
HTC have officially released an update for TyTN II 6.1 windows.
I have several SPB apps like
- SPB Diary
- SPB Finance
- SPB Mobile Shell
- SPB Phone Suite
- SPB Pocket Plus
- SPB Traveller
Will these and other spb apps work on official windows 6.1 on tytn II?
Thanks

and the response:
as I wrote before, currently only Spb Mobile Shell officially supports WM6.1. I can't speak about the official support if a program was released in several month before announce of WM6.1.
With that, yes, the mentioned applications work fine on HTC TyTN II with WM6.1. I personally use the same device with the same ROM and all of the mentioned applications except Spb Traveler.

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue with wm6.1 and SBP Plus! It seems that it makes the phone freeze/crash after a reset and the settings are lost once in awhile! I tried custom roms and HTC stock ones and seems they all had this issue... After unninstaling the today plugin from SBP Plus the problem disappears...
P.S: Was curious that after several crashes on start up the SBP Plus today plugin would be disable automatically
Do you mean SPB Pocket Plus ?
The current version doesn't official support WM 6.1.
The next update to 4.0.3 will.
You just have to wait.
I have 4.0.2 working OK on my HTC rom 6.1
also Phone Suite, Mobile Shell, and Weather
not had any crashes (thankfully)
Hi,
My Kaiser with Windows mobile 6.5 keeps crashing when I install spb traveler 2.5.
I have downloaded a brand new cab from the spb website and it installs OK, but after a while the Kaiser screen freezes up and none of the buttons work. The only recourse is to do a soft reset; which takes a long time...and after Windows Mobile 6.5 finally boots up I get a white screen telling me that the device will be reset back to factory defaults because I installed an application from a dubious source (or something like that).
The application is NOT from a dubious source, since it comes directly from:

If anybody else has had this type of problem, and you found a solution please let me know. I like spbtraveler because of its integration with spb shell 3.0; so I would really like to get it to work.
The newest version of spb Traveler (version 2.6) seems to have solved the issue. It is now working properly in WM 6.5
I already uninstall SPB Mobile Shell v3.5.1 and install SPB Mobile Shell v3.5.5 to my x2. After i install i try to run the SPB.Before that i'm using GrowingPanel. But my panel always came out as home.not SPB home like the picture as i attach.
My phone also unstable after i install. Hmmm...How to fix that?? It's the software are compatible with x2??
i see in this pic that windows is 6.5 ... so there are 2 conclusions:
1)you are on the old ROM 6.5 and in this case the prog. will run fine (choose the default windows panel and from setting- home- and choose the right tab there -click on spb shell)and you would get it without any problems.
2)if your device has 6.5.3 like the rest of us , then i don't recommend you to use the program as you won't be able to click start menu icon ... as the program will take all the screen.
How do i know version window mobile on my device? 6.5 or 6.5.3 ??
i check my phone at system>about
-------> "window mobile 6.5 profesional"
it is so simple ....
old rom 6.5 has start button on top like here
new rom has start button like here
ok..now i know...i'm using winmo 6.5.3.
2)if your device has 6.5.3 like the rest of us , then i don't recommend you to use the program as you won't be able to click start menu icon ... as the program will take all the screen.

ok i need to uninstall SPB Mobile Shell v3.5.5. and install back SPB Mobile Shell v3.5.1.
tq.
i used spb 3.5.5. the performace of X2 with spb 3.5.5 wasnt the best. i mucjh like the 3.5.3 version.
it's spb v3.5.3 can be a panel same like spb v3.5.1 ??
what a the different with this two version??
you have screen shot..?
if posible...please share the link...
tq.
no it cant be a panel. panels are unstable and take space. if you want to use spb shell you better make hardreset and use clean wm6.5.3 with no panels and slidewied. they boath suck. when you have clean wm6.5.3 ypu simpley instal spbshell 3.5.3 and its fine. i have noticed the batery life isnt the best with spb shell. i use clean wm6.5.3 with titanium today screen. its farely stable, farely fast, hase alot of ram free, has almost 180MB internal space free... if you get sick of panels and slideview you search the X2 section of xda forum for making the phone clean and stable..

nice links
Xperia X2 is basically sucks.
my xperia X2 only supports SPB 3.5.1, All other versions have bull **** performance
The version of SPB Mobile Shell pre-installed on your Xperia X2 is an modified version specially customised for Sony Ericsson, with support for panels.
The latest version of SPB Mobile Shell, 3.5.5, downloadable is a generic version without panel support. Also when installed, it runs in trial mode, and requires a product key that you can obtain from SPB.
I've parted from SPB mobile shell long ago after experiencing issues in performance
I'v just added the generic SPB 8 to my X2A and really like it ... and I haven't noticed any performance issues that faizulrahim mentioned ...
However, just for information, the selection of backgrounds only works with the lifestyle and not the professional style ... also, it may be my imagination, but when I switched from professional to lifestyle, I noticed that the battery life was less ... only lasting a little over a day instead of 2 days -- but I wanted to ask if anybody else noticed that -- or was it just my usage when I switched to the lifestyle?
Anyway, I find the generic SPB 8 a lot nicer -- especially the carousel part ...
