default home? - G1 Apps and Games

I was wondering which home does the users in this forum uses. Other than the original home in the dream, there are a number of third parties home. Which home do u use? Will u set the specific home as the default home?

Ok. No need to bother about this post. I was using ahome just now and in the ahome, i had about 6 pages, one for contacts, one for bookmarks, one for tools e.g. calculator calendar etc, one main screen with widgets, one for fbook, online stuff. And so on
But
After having so many things in the ahome, my dream started to get messed up and went wacky. I couldnt use the touch screen and was only alllow to use the trackball whcih sux. After uninstalling it my dream went back to normal
I think i had enough with 3rd party home apps

Creating a new tab in HTC Home Customizer?

There are currently only 6 tab options to select from (Home, Weather, Launcher, Profiles, Music, And Contacts), and it would be great to add a phone tab/button cause the phone button is not in an ergonomic place.
Is it possible to create a phone tab to be used with HTC Home Customizer? Or better yet, is there a download with extra tabs that I can load into it?

Not likely to be able to add a new tab to the existing one. But this may be an addon that helps...

But IMO, not sure how either would be easier than hitting the green phone button on the phone.
I have seen this cab before but I couldn't figure out if there was any way to add my own buttons/substitute for what was already on there. Is it possible and I just missed it?
EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that I could. Thanks!

I am missing the HTC Homescreen

I received my Orange Tytn 2 this afternoon and I love it
Only thing is I am missing the basic htc homescreen with the txt, weather and clock etc.
Is there a cab here that I could use to reinstall this back onto my phone
Thanks
This is what I want.

You have been around since April...you should know better! SEARCH This has been discussed to death and there are many CABs floating around.
I have been searching and will continue to search, I have already downloaded many cabs, changed reg settings and got my phone to what I want, just had problems finding that particular one
Dig deeper if THAT is the one you want. It is REALLY REALLY old so it will be buried in old threads. Nobody (for the most part) wants/uses the 3 tab home screen.
Its linked to in the sticky in this forum. Right at the top. Also it can be configured to have between 0 to 6 tabs at the bottom.
Home, Weather, Favorite Contacts, Music, Favorite Programs, Profiles(ringer vs vibrate)
Thanks for replying, did a google search and managed to get the htc homescreen from another site, works great

Does this cab exist????

I may be interested in displaying another home screen other than the HTC. I like several others but I really enjoy using the "quick" contact tab on the HTC home screen. I love being able to have several "quick contact" tabs to call my daily contacts etc..
Is there a stand alone cab (program) so that I can incorporate this feature into other home screens?
I even like the HTC Plus but it does away with this feature.

Not sure where I got it, but this cab works GREAT. You will 3 additional items in your Today Items list: Dial Tab 1, 2 and 3. Each can have 5 or 6 contacts on it.

I've used Ultimate Launch to integrate this into a custom "cube"-type app. Just added HTC Home as a tab and it appears like normal, but you can swipe it aside and open other sides of the cube. Works super fast. I also use WeatherPanel and TodayAgenda as tabs along with several other tabs filled with programs and such.
It is commercial software, but well worth it. FWIW.
I'm sure there are other options.

Got a screenshot?
Thanks I will give this a try.
Thanks this is close, but is there a way to assign a tab to these dial tabs so they won't take up so much screen space?? I guess what I am saying is not making it a plug-in on the today screen I guess.

TF3D disabled -- How do I add programs to Today Screen?

I know with TF3DConfig you can add/remove programs from the Home screen, but with TF3D Off (therefore making TF3DConfig useless), all you'll get is the Today screen. My question is, how can I add program icons to the Today screen? The only thing i have on my today screen is Date and Messaging. How do I go about adding more programs like Opera, Notes, etc. onto the Today Screen?
Thank You.
you would have to pretty much install thrid party apps. There are a bunch of them so I wouldnt know where to start. Depending on your preferences, I'd start with SPB Software.
You can only add plugins to the today screen. Now there are many plugins available, where you can add programm shortcuts, quickdials, shortcuts to files etc. Search a bit! Amongst the best are SPBPocketPlus (unfortunately not compatible with WM6.1/Diamond yet), ILauncher from SBSH and many more......some even freeware.....
The search function in this forum is your friend, as is google or www.handango.com to get an idea of what´s available....

Maybe i'm retarded, but every attempt to search this forum for "SPB" yields 0 result! Would you mind guiding me to the right thread? Thanks again!

Show tasks on the htc sense home page

Hi all
Is there any way that tasks can been shown on the home page with htc sense?
at the moment it only shows..
time, calendar and missed calls.
I want it to list tasks as well...
wm6.5 manilla 2.1
cheers vjc
Mmmm...
I asked the same question about a year ago and got absolutely no response from anyone. That was in the original Diamond forum. I guess nobody here is task orientated
It does seem strange to me though as this device is aimed at the high end business user... tasks & appointments would be no.1 on the list
I gave up trying to do this a while ago and just put a shortcut to tasks on my homescreen. Anyone with an idea, please come forward
**** didn't see this topic, got a same question.
I found out that your appointments will be show when you do not mark them for a whole day. This way you will also be able to see them in your lock screen.
Sorted
Do you want to know i've sort it out? Simply quit using sense! That way i've got my td2 working faster and can have calendar and task events and unread e-mails displayed on home screen. Plus, when i type a contact name and open it, in case i need to come back to the list, that name and other similar still selected. While with sense i'd had search from the beginning again. That was driving me mad! start/definitions/home settings/items/ unselect HTC sense and select date/calendar/messeges/tasks
Thx DLX but the questions still remains...
Is there any way that tasks can been shown on the home page with htc sense?
I'm interested too. But I think that question would be better put in the Windows software development forum, because if such a way to display tasks would exist, it would probably work for Touch Pro2, HD2 etc.. and not just for Diamond2. I am in desperate need of such usability.
my solution

My best solution so far was to install ThumbCal and have a quick launch button to it's Agenda view, where i can see all tasks and appointments in one page
Another option would be SecondToday+Stock Tasks Today plugin or any other caledar ap..
Added Tasks to Quick Links
Ive added Tasks to one of the quick link icons on the home screen, not ideal but the only way I could think easy acces it. Tasks.exe is in the windows directory, browse using a PC connected in activesync and create a short cut of it and put the shortcut in the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs directory. You should then be able to add it to quick links from the programs list.
