You can use MyMobiler, it's free.
There also are some Outlook-Addons like Jeyo, but this one isn't free...
I use SOTI Pocket Controller. its not free but it will let you do everything you normally do through your phone through the pc with a very nice user interface
petervbeck thank you so much. this is perfect. just like my cell phone was an app on my computer and I can use my mouse and keyboard to control it. texting is simple with it. thanks again.

I believe the latest version is pocket controller pro v6.01. If your not sure wether to get it or not download the trial first. If you like it buy it. what it does over the other apps similar to this is it uses all the softkey option like you would on your Kaiser plus you can setup hotkeys for spacific applications. I find it especially usefull when I have formatted my Kaiser and reinstalling apps. I makes it so much easier to enter the serial codes through the pc keyboard and you can even install apps without touching your phone aslo. replyiong to texts and emails are made easier, running programs work great also

Hello ppl,
As motorola phone tools and nokia phone suite does with their respective brand phones/roms, does anybody know a software to send sms (would be nice if it could read sms from the phone, too) through wm6 or wm6.1 ?
Thiago.
I use Outlook. You can send them from Outlook. Unfortunately, it wont accept them though.

Thank you !!
if you have a tilt then you can do it with at&t's communication manager... but i think it's more for if you want your PC to use your phones 3G internet connection...
Jeyo Mobile Extender is good too...

Any of you guys try this?

LINK Phone Data Manager. Microsoft.
EDIT:
If your phone has a Windows Mobile Operating system, in general, Microsoft Phone Data Manager Beta will work with it; please note that for Windows Mobile phones, Microsoft Phone Data Manager Beta will work only via a USB data cable connection.

The Touch Diamond is a smart phone....
Just installed it, backing up files now. Seems to work fine.
Though I prefer syncing contacts with outlook instead of Windows Live.
The main problem with this is that there is no way to manage the contacts unless you use Hotmail as your email provider. This is an issue I've been trying to get MS to change for ages.
i just hope PPCPimBackup still works with the Diamond. i dont see why not since my mogul is running WM6.1 too.
great program and incredibly easy to use

Yes, there is a program for that. Search and I am sure you will find it

When I'm logged on my provider website, I'm able to send sms. Maybe you should try that...
Mymobiler works okay, but a bit slow though because of the screen lag.
Hi,
I use one of the Jeyo products. You can use mobile extender or companion. I think the companion works just great. Do a google search for jeyo and it's the first to pop up.
My Mobiler is the best for me !!
MyMobiler works very fine!
I use pocket controller for this, whit this program you have total controll over your phone, make a bluetooth connection and operate your phone from your pc.

Sounds a bit like Mymobiler, though Mymobiler doesn't have that BT connection option... Would you mind sharing some screen shots of Pocket Controller?

[Q] Xperia destroyed!

I dropped it into the see, repair costs more then 2 new phones. I really liked the phone, and have two questions:
a) I've backup-ed my data with PIM Backup and sprite backup. Can I recover data for use with some other OS?
b) I wanted to get into mobile OS application development. Android is something I could transition easily because I've done java in the past, but windows 7 seems interesting as well. Windows 6.5.3 seems the thing of the past in that regard, so I'm not sure should I buy another used xperia, or go with different handset with different OS. Any suggestions?
About your Question bullet a.
I don't think there's an easy way to do that. I mean there's no specific application (that I know) able to do that.
But I can give two solution here.
1. Borrow your friend's WM.
Restore the PIM to that WM, then move 'em to ms outlook (using Windows Computer, of course!)
then using your OEM Android phone suit to move them to your android.
2. If you have no other WM (or your friend's WM can't be borrowed)
- Download Windows Mobile Emulator @ microsoft website (googling please)
- your backed up PIM should be restore using this EMU and then connect your emu to outlook through WMDC
- move the PIM back to android using your OEM's PC suit
The problem is in my case there's no option to restore SMS nor MMS. so...
For SMS, you may use SMS migrator.
SMS Migrator is a suite of tools that allows you to migrate your SMS Inbox and Sent Items from Windows Mobile to Android.
You may read the instuctions by Paul from MoDaCo for android (fortunately I bookmarked the link)
http://android.modaco.com/content/software/288916/windows-mobile-sms-migrator-beta-1/
But the instruction is not absolute success. I don't know the reason why. But it's fail on my Galaxy S but I'm not sure on my sold Milestone.
About your Q in bullet b, I don't get it. I'm not a programmer.
Hope this help.
thanks
You were very detailed! Thanks a bunch!
