Hi everybody!
I've installed w7 RC on my shift, translated it in italian with a language pack. i followed all steps indicated on the guides released on this site. everithing works well. exept shift control center.
i explain.
after all installations are done the w7 work fine, also control center. after some reboot it do not work! i tap on the hardware key dedicated to the program and nothing! a little icon appears for few seconds in the notification bar and then disappear. and it does nothing! after many reboot and re-setup of the program it still not work!! why it appens! i can say that the resolution switch key works well!!
So i'm able to use the shift, because w7 is very fast but is not so comfortable without shift control center!
Hope to be clear in explaining my problem.
Thanks!
i ve had the same problem with the french langage pack
i ve disinstalled it and every thing works fine now
so, you can say that can be the language the problem?
Maybe you should remove the [W7] before your post as it is usually reserved to topics presenting a new rom, or something new for the device, and not for questions.
may be you can give me some help Thai.. Thanks!
pitt 1983
im sure the problem comes from the langage pack
i was sure that the problem came after installing updates.
i have desintalled all updates one to one . shift control center worked after removing langage pack. ive re-installed all others updates and shift control still works...

Well, I can just say that it's working fine for me, with a localised version of W7. So I say ducatimoto proposal to remove language pack seems to be a good idea. Did you have one?
yes, without language pack it work well, but there is no way to make it work with languages packs?
Many thanks to all for you help!
What are theese language packs? Mine wont work too, but i dont know what are you talking about ( i dont have any language packs installed)
work fine
italian pack select compatibility vista sp2 after reinstallation ecdrv and shangctrl work fine
the language pack is not an .exe, it wil installed through control panel my friend
work fine
compatibilty refered shangctrl.. (il mio funge benissimo) after update remove shangctrl and reinstall ecdrv and shang..
i've the same problem with italian lp 7100 and w7 7.100 . If i set english as default languages control center work with italian doesn't work. I've try to unistall shagctrl and ecdrv and reinstall with vista sp2 compatibility but nothing.... now i try to format the system and reinstall as first time with vista sp2 compatibility.......
i'll post the result.....
work fine
unistall Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
enjoy
anyone found the solution?
I might have found a solution!!
1. install your desired language pack(Chinese for example)
2. switch the system to Chinese
3. launch shift control center installer
4. select to use "Chinese" during the installation
5. restart Window 7
6. shift control center is back on!!

Updated the cab so it can be installed to Storage Cards.

Esmertec Jbed 20080428.2.1 is a newer build

I hit the red button then reactivate the jbed app. Normally I only use Operamini in the jbed and having a key bound to launch makes it painless. The older cloudy version didnt have that issue btw
Thkx very much for the cab
thank you I will try it on my Touch tonight. I need it to have operamini working.

As my experience, the builds in the past also have this issue. If you want to control the Java applicatins again, resume the Jbed program several times.

Same problem with this version and 20080222.3.1 on my Hermes. I installed it to the Storage Card. Not sure if that is the cause or not.
But the good news is, this problem does not happen with the older version 20070802.2.1. This version can only be installed to Device storage.
I updated the cab so it can be installed anywhere.
Are there any benefits in using this version over the older versions that do not cease to respond after app switching? Or is this simply for people who love cutting edge builds?

I just downloaded the cab file and if I am correct, there are some errors in it. Some of the registry entries put /windows/jbed.exe as path where it should be relative to the installation path.
Anyway it is not working on my SPV M600 (QTek S200 by Orange). After installation, each time I try to open a .jad or .jar file I receive an error "corrupted file"... I tried with Gmail and Opera mini.
Stephane
I just tried it on my stock AT&T Tilt ROM - both Gmail and Opera Mini 4.1 receive errors...
Is there any way to use this version on a WM 2003 device ??
It doesn' take the right browser options, that are needed to install games.
It does seem to work,
but even when installed on the memory card it does not allow me to install large applications because it seems to count the phone memory.
(tried to install a 69MB navigation map)

Hey guys!
first of all: I'm new here and your work is great !!
and because your work is so great, i tried to install android 2.2 on my HTC touch pro 2 (windows mobile 6.1) and it worked... but i wanted more. i wanted to have sense UI as well on my device. so i uninstalled android to install a version, which contained sense UI.
and here the problem starts: the haret.exe in the sense UI android version started but froze instantly. so i did a softreset.
since the softreset i am unable to install new .cab files or even start apps which were not installed on the device from the beginning (which includes android).
every time i get this error:
"The file XY can't be opened. it may not have a securitycertificate or one of its components can't be found."
(sorry if the language is strange, I had to translate from german >< )
i havent found a similar problem in this forum yet. If i missed it, show me please.
otherwise it would be great, if some smart dudes could help me. I AM REALLY DESPERATE :'(
thanks a lot
1. You are new here, but this has nothing to do with rom development.
2. You need to install this cab http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3973249&postcount=1
Hello
Yesterday I finally decided to mess up with my phone, and I've installed miniCM v5.1 ROM + GAPPS from the proper topic here on forums and modified kernel which boosts my phone's clock to 825MHz. Everything works marvelous, phone is responsive like never etc, but the problem is Youtube isn't working.
I've tried installing GAPPS again, I've reinstalled YT again, I've also tried downloading Flash 11, but it says it's not compatible with my device, so I installed it manually from *.apk file. It installed correctly, but still YT doesn't work. It's not like it doesn't work at all, there is no video/sound. I can see all comments and information, but movie window has error message saying the "problem occured while trying to play" or something. And it happens for every movie I tried.
I am using: miniCM v5.1 + GAPPS provided in link in proper topic, NOPE Kernel v2.6 825MHz.
I will be very thankful for any help you guys can provide.
Also thanks for warrior1208 for his work with miniCM, Hasoon2000 for awesome app that made possible for me to install this stuff and me4488 for providing us overclocked Kernels

Well, I'm really lookinf forward to the next update you stated that is going to be released later in march. I'm using your ROM because it has everything I need to customize my phone. One suggestion I'd like to give: a dialpad is too large, if you try to put first letters (T9 method of looking for contact) it shows only 1 record and then you have to expand the list manually and chose proper contact you wish to dial. Would it be possible to make this dialpad smaller, like native android dialpad which is used to type?
The only things I've installed to your rom was ES File Explorer which replaces CM file explorer, and ClockQ for clock on home screen. I'm still looking for better music player tho, Apollo doesn't seem to be well designed, I wish I could use stock HTC Player as I did on Sense. Also you could consider adding AppHider tool to be preinstaled which would help a lot of people to hide unneeded icons from the Drawer.
I also don't like having two launchers installed. I'm using the Trebuchet 0.2 at the moment as I didn't like the other one very much. You should stick with one in my opinion. I wish Trebuchet had some more options tho, like modifying the unlock button orientation on the ring :S
Anyway, thanks a lot, I'm finally happy with my Desire, no freezes and everything seems so smooth. I will try to donate after I get my payment, but it won't be very much as I live in quite poor country

Adding things like apphider would make the rom sluggish... I would try to change the dialer and the apollo music player is the default cm10 player...
Btw, I don't work for money so I don't need donations, I work for THANKS...

Just a question to those who are using this ROM: has anyone worked out what all of those Chinese language settings (found under settings) are for?

Thanks for your feedback. I've been able to translate nearly all of the Chinese strings to English. The modified APK is attached. The option under Settings is still in Chinese and one of the options in the Power Off menu is Chinese as well. If I knew where they were stored I'd amend those as well. The APK is in the /system/priv-app folder. All you have to do is overwrite the existing one with the modified one.

There's a new update for the L07 variant. Build 124. I tried it but couldn't see any difference and Xposed doesn't install. So, back to the HRT rom, installed Xposed and GB. All is well. Because Xposed doesn't sit well with the Emotion UI, I installed Apex Pro and the KitKat theme. The phone looks great! So thanks for the hint.
Settings.apk update
I'm pleased to say I finally managed to get the Chinese language strings in the Settings.apk translated to English. The revised apk can be downloaded here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6QnIbFOPM4pa0NLYjFtU1dKTGc/edit?usp=sharing
All you have to do is replace the apk and restart your phone.
Please note this apk is only suitable for those using the HRT_P7_L05L07_V2.0 ROM
Tested, working, seems stable.

Hi guys,
this is a guide how you can enable double tap to wake and wake gestures (Camera, Music,..., or custom apps) on your P9 Lite.
Somehow Huawei left the options in the system root, but made in invisible in the settings (same with many other Huawei devices). This is the same method others used for the P9.
All you need is:
-rooted device
(for rooting my device I followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
the only thing I did different for getting SU working, was that I installed the root with the SRK-Tool and then I installed the mentioned SU-Update zip file)
-A file explorer with root access
-text editor app (I used the QuickEdit from the Playstore)
Even if this workaround worked 100% and without any problems on my device (rooted VNS-L31 on B100), your doing it on your own risk!
Step 1: Enter the file explorer and go to the root directory. Open the system folder and look for the build.prop file.
Step 2: Open the build.prop with the texteditor and search for the line ro.config.hw_easywakeup=false, now change the "false" into a "true" and save/exit the file. Just open it a again to ensure the entry has been realy changed and saved.
Step 3: Now go to the directory system/emui/base/xml, ther you open the file hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml with the editor.
Step 4: Search for the line "EasyWakeupMotion name="Double_Touch" support="1" value="0" flag="0" keycode="131"" and change the value=0 into value=1. Again save and exit the file and ensure that it has been really changed.
Step 5: Restart your device and go into settings menu-->smart assistance-->motion controle. Now there are the options double tap and wake gestures available. You could also change the apps which are related to the different wake gestures. After activating it should be working right away. Otherwise do another restart and it should be good.
Hope everthing is working for you...I tested it now for some days and with some cases where I had to tap the display three times to wake up it worked flawlessly. There is also NO additional battery drain caused by the feature.
In addition it would be helpfull to mention which version of the phone you have, also if it's Asia or Europe etc.
Great job man
Strangely, doesn't work for me.
I can see the option and I have activated it but the phone does not wake up when tapping it

Thanks bro! This worked for me! All of your posts are useful! I got the phone yesterday updated to the latest version rooted it, Installed xposed but do you know a way to center the clock? I've tried to use GravityBox and Xblast Tools but none of the options works I rebooted the phone and still they don't do anything ugh.. I hope there will be a CM rom for this device and if you have anything else useful for this device like theming and stuff tell us! And also tell me what Xposed modules you use

Nice to here for the modding of status bar (also centering clock) I'm using the "flat style bar indicator". Which works for me. I tried the xposed version from wanam as well as the regular v86 and I experienced better performance and compatibility with the regular version. Important is to do a cache and dalvik wipe after installing new modules, reboot then might take some minutes but dont be scared
The features I'm using from gravity is on one side the setup for the navigation bar keys (you can set longpress, double press actions) and on the other side the volume to skip songs
I use "doubletaptosleep" for statusbar double tap to sleep^^
The vibration tuner for setting a shorter vibration duration. Because the notification buzz was a bit to much for my taste
and last but not least I have the flat style status bar, this module ensures that the symbols in the statusbar turn black when you have a white or light background. You also can change the navigationbar
So this is pretty much it. I attached two screenshots. I changed my homescreen to a pretty much IOS style...guess some of you might be botherd with that but I always wanted a IOS-Style phone with the android functionality.

Yes, unfortunatley it's not always working on a single double tap, but if you do a double double tap it works everytime. Couldn't figure out why its like that. Strangely the letter function is always working. Another addition is that you can enable the letter "O" as well by just activating it with value=1 and setting the "keycode=137".
The response time is, how I fear, untouchable. I guess it has something to do with cpu reaction time from standby. But I haven't seen a faster reaction by other phones which are officialy supporting this feature. But I will keep looking.

Well, DT2W is always a function that has to be supported by the kernel.
So maybe different phone versions do have different versions of the kernel.
Could you tell me which kernel version you are using? Mine is 3.10.90-g7bbea55 (May 15)
Maybe Huawei will give us an official DT2W support soon. Afaik they also enabled it late on the P8 with a firmware update :fingers-crossed:

My kernel is the 3.10.90-g9c133f1 (april 26th)....so its a different one. I hope so too, otherwise it would also make no sense to leave the coding in there rom because it only bloat it...Theres already a beta for the P9 with Android N. So lets hope for the best.
I have European version with same kernel as @Schlengge .
For me it works. Thank you @To_High !
Maybe you dont need double tap if we have fingerprint
