8925 Today Screen

My today screen hasa few item that makes me scroll when closed. The issue is if I scroll it wont stay where I wen to instead it moves to the top. Any help much appreciated

THat's just how Windows Mobile's Today screen works. It's been like that for years. I'm mostly disappointd cuz you can't "Touch" scroll it either. But I'm used to it now. If it bothers you enough, you might go for one of the Today screen replacement programs available.

Resco Today Plugin is okay. SPB has some software out there that you might want to check out.

Kaiser Touch Screen not responding.

Hey guys I have flashed my Kaiser with a clean rom last night, everything went awesome, phoned work excellent just the way I wanted, and my hands were wet as the phone rang and now all of a sudden my Touch Screen doesnt work, nothing seems to be wrong with the phone itself, everything is still displayed on the screen.
Now I might need to send it back for repairs, but I reset to factory defaults couple min ago, and it says "Tap screen to begin" and I can't get any further?
Active sync or nothing works in that stage, how is it possible that I can flash my kaiser back to factory defaults if this is the case?
Isnt there a way of skipping that "Tap screen to begin" message?

I have flashed my phone back to HTC's rom, touch screen still doesn't work, I can use the phone now again, I have skipped that process where it asks you to align the screen to begin with a program called Code Factory's Remote screen alignment (RSA)
Now I'm in Bahrain (middle east) at the moment, I bought the phone in South-Africa where I used to live, So I'm gonna have to use the phone for a while until I can send it in for repairs.
So just have one more problem, I can't seem to change the Main volume in the taskbar without using the touch screen, Is there any other way of changing the volume, coz I cant hear my phone when it rings at times.

to adjust the volume, move the trackwheel up or down during a call, so you're gonna have to call someone.

Man,that must be a pain that touch screen doesn't working.
Try googling MyMobiler, install on your PC, connect your PDA and it will autoinstall itself to your PDA too.
Run MyMobiler on the PC. Next thing you know you can control your PDA without even touching it at all ;-)

or get mDesktop form the net - it will give you remote desktop capabilities to your PDA + much more ....

yo guys, just wanna let u guys know, the problem sorted itself out, in the future if you guys experience the problem, put ur phone close to a TUBE T.V, and let the static fix it for u, I was busy trying to get this OLD t.v sorted out in the Hotel where we are living in Bahrain, and I couldn't see at the back, and I used my phone as a flash light to see what's going on lol, and then my Touch screen started working again.........anyone care to explain this..?
Phone is in complete working order again, happy flashing for me once again hehe.

Man, I had the same problem and I was quite desperate. I was going to replace my Vodafone 1615 (the brandized version of Tytn II) when I found your post.
I put the phone near a CRT Monitor and then magically the touch-screen was working again!

Can anyone explain why this might work?

I had the same problems. Touched yesterday mine htc kaiser with wet fingers and the touch screen did not respond. I thought that is the same problem with humidity that I had in Amazonia. That time it got solved by heating the phone with notebook. Pillow - kaiser - notebook for few hours :-D
But this time heating did not work... With doubt I approached old CRT tv and static energy from it SOLVED mine problem too. I am happy that I did not throw it away after buying LCD one. This is the time when new technology needs some old school energy :-D

Did you have the phone off or on , did you touch it to the screen or side of tv, and how long did you hold the phone there, this would be awesome if it works, I've been freaking out the last couple of days.

Static can kill touch screens
I killed my old WM2003 device by sliding down a plastic slide with my kids at the park.

Hi folks!
I had the same problem: change my at&t tilt rom/radio/spl to htc.
result: touch screen does not working!
The only way that i found is undo changes:
1º - installing and using: Remote screen Alignment to skip the first screen calibration. Just power on Tilt and wait until activesync are connected, so, run "remote screen alignment" and click skip, if the phone does not restart, do a soft reset.
2º - In the next power on, use activesync to copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your phone.
3º - use the buttons to navigate and execute JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe on the phone. (to execute JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe file use the ENTER key of the sliding keyboard).
4º- now just replace RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_.exe (OEM ROM i think)/ bootloader spl1.93.0/1.56 (maybe the screen problem occurs due the wrong spl/rom combination or newer spl like 3.28/3.29 ).
After these steps my AT&T Tilt touch screen is back to work!
Now i'm ready to try others roms again !!
PS: Sorry for poor english, if anybody don't understand anything just ask!

thank you so much for taking the time to post your solution! My kaiser was dead after it got soaked in vinegair..keys were sticky, device wouldnt charge or even turn on..
what i did is put the kaiser in a bowl of water and let it rest for a few hours. Then i took it out and put it in a bowl of uncooked rice (rice sucks up water!) and let it rest overnight. My kaiser came out great with everything working fine except....the touchscreen wouldnt respond. I flashed several roms but all to no avail.
I then followed your instructions and miraculously this strange at&t rom brought my touchscreen back to life!

Strange Flickering Screen

Have a strange problem..
My Diamond is 40days old, till 15days of buying i did not have this problem.. I installed Spb Mobile shell 2.1, since then the lower 1/5th of the screen flickers and when i wake the phone from sleep & press volume button, in the grey background of Volume control screen exactly the lower 1/5th i can see a dull image of the letters or icons that the screen displayed just before sleep at the lower 1/5th..
What's this?? Is it a defective screen, or Spb Shell's problem..
I uninstalled Spb Shell, still no change.. Did a hard reset.. solved.. But Installed only Spb shell 2.2 (after hard reset) problem persists...
Did a search on XDA but found none other similar flickers..
1) Anyone faces this problem??
2) Any one can think of the cause of this??
3) Any Solutions
I'm running original 2G (Indian Airtel) rom 1.37.720.2WWE

if it's gone when u hardreset and it came back, it should be software related

Just curious... Is Spb shell 2.2 VGA compitable?

Pull the USB/Charger out, supsend Device by powebutton and turn back on.

Noticed something.. Did a hard reset yday.. Installed nothing.. no problem overnight.. Put it for charging.. Yes i could see it agian now.. Now my question is whether this can happen due to overheated Diamond.. Coz after stopping charging the problem disaapeared.. Had a long call sometime back, when my diamond got hot again, and i could again see ghosting of lower 1/5th of screen..

that could be the problem, why whole screen seems to be flickering, but that's when i unplugged the USB whilst synchronizing with the PC after quite some time
the weird thing is, after i turn off my screen and turn it back on using the power button, it's gone

Screen losing alignment

I have a Touch Diamond and this is getting really annoying.
The screen is losing alignment all the time. I align it and it works okay... for a couple of minutes. Then the center of alignment goes either way up or way down. Sometimes only for a couple of seconds and sometimes for couple of hours. Hard-resetting it doesn't help, either.
It's happening on every single ROM I try.
And since I'm currently using win 6.5, the only way to get to screen alignment is through the start menu, so if the center of alignment goes up (I think it's up), I have to just wait until it's back to normal as I can't press the Start button.
It's annoying as hell... I have to be lucky to be able to write a message or type in a number... or do anything else actually.
Help? Pretty please?

No help for that problem, all what you can is sending phone i service , if you have warranty!
Before that, you can try with stock rom, and stock spl, and using mtty tool, use button search to find threads about that!
Good luck...

I have emailed support center about this issue. All they could come up is the usual stuff - try hard resetting etc...
Of course, nothing helped.
Seems like I'll have to get it repaired. However, my warranty is out.
Has anyone had problems like this? I mean, how much could it cost (I hope they won't have to change the screen itself)?

i think they'll have to change display, cause same thing was at me ...
You can find cheap display and all tools with it for changing display and instructions how to do that with yourself, i'm not sure how much, look at ebay, if i remember not more than 40$

HTC TyTN (Kaiser) screen problem

I've just replaced the screen in my HTC TyTN with a ginue spare screen from HTC, but after installing the picture on the screen are moved a lot downwards and also to the left. I can't find any topics here how to solve this type of problem, so im asking now if any one knows if this can be fixed. The space in the screen where the picture should be are filled with white, if this can help how to solve it.
I will be very thankfull if any one knows how to solve this problem

did you try screen alignment?
Go to start>settings>system>screen align.

It is all the time, from when i turn it on and when im in windows.

Can you use it enough to back it up and try a reset? I doubt that would help though.

EDIT: Just found out that the bottons on the screen part and D-pad doesn't work. I've found some solutions in here, but I still can't get them to work. Does anybody know how to reset the phone without using the front bottons
