all albums in touchflo - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
In the diamond 1 you could have all my albums in touchflo player, and scroll trough them, but i can only 1 song at time on diamond 2, what iam i doing wrong ? cant we have all albums ?

The TF3D music tab displays only your "Now Playing" songs. If you are playing through a single album, you will only see that one album cover on-screen. It is NOT like the iPhone's coverflow where you can flip through the album covers to select what to play next.
If you create a playlist containing say ten songs, each from a different album, and then start playing that, then you will see on the screen the first three covers and you can flip through them one at a time.
This is pretty useless and I don't recall ever flipping through the covers in that way except when I want to go "ooh pretty".
It's another reason I've dumped TF3D. Pretty but useless.

thats very diffrent from dianond 1, there i had all my albums on the "music player", this on diamond 2 sucks. the only wayto have more songs is if i create playlists, and that sucks much, would have been much easier to be able to pick an entire album to scroll trough on player screen

Flip / Browse / Scroll through music albums (in TouchFlo 3D)

Hi all,
I have finally managed to get the album art to be displayed in the Touch Flo 3D. When I select a song from the library, the correct image is shown. However, I'm still not able to flip / browse / scroll through the different albums which are stored in the 4GB internal memory. Flo 3D just doesn't display the albums, only individual songs.
When I just unpacked the Diamond, there were two demo albums (with one song) stored in the device memory. Those were displayed correctly, but I've erased those demo albums, because the songs were not my style.
It seems that the Internal Storage is not scanned in a proper way to display the albums, because I get the message "Geen muziek gevonden", which is Dutch for "No music found". But the strange thing is, is that the individual songs are selectable through the library.
I used Windows Media Player 11 to synchronize my music albums. Anyone having similar problems, because I could not find a thread on this.
Is the album art included in the tags? If not you could try that. I don't know if WMP does that, but media monkey and other free apps do. If it doesn't even work then somethings probably not right.
I've added the album art in the tags using MediaMonkey. Before that, the images were not even shown, but as I said, I've managed to fix that. The only problem that remains is that I'm not able to scroll through the albums. Am I missing something? How do you select album flipping? Is this a special combination?
There are a lot of ways to show up album art. Mediamonkey works but i just put the song under content/music, create an folder with the artist name and put the song with a jpg picture in that map. Rename the picture to folder.jpg and you're device creates the album art. Under the touchflow select library and play the song so it shows up.
It sounds like your issue is not in getting album art to show at this point, but in getting the flip interface to show albums rather than songs, correct? I'm afraid you are mistaken about the original configuration. The flip interface always has and will continue to merely show songs. It's just that the original samples only had one song per album, so it looked like it was showing you individual albums. To browse through your albums, you need to drill down into the appropriate screen in the library. The flip interface will only show the songs in your active playlist.

Exactly my point.

Hmmm, could that be the case? Let me settle with this explanation (for now). Thanks!
I have a stock Sprint TP. I noticed too that the Albums disappeared from the flip interface in TF3D after playing a song. As stated above, to get back to being able to Flip between songs on Albums you need to go to the Music tab, select Library from the bottom then navigate to All Songs tab, select Menu > add to Playlist. Now all the songs in your library are in your playlist and will be displayed on the main Music tab in TF3D.
gbrailsford, thanks that worked great for me! I used windows media player to sync songs and put the album covers through

Flipping Album Art

Hi all,
This probably has a really simple answer but I am baffled...
When I first got my diamond I could flick through the album art.
Since then I have been listening to one of the albums.
How do I get it to go back to the album list so that I can flick through all albums again? I seem to be only able to flick through song in 1 albumn i selected :-(
Thanks in advance,
Darrell
Hi, choose 'library', then the icon on the far right (all songs) then go back (up) and all your music is there again.
nope...
Hi,
thanks for the reply, but that did not work...
on my TF3D screen I can only see the art from one album (the one I was playing last). Flicking simply flicks through the songs it that album.
Selecting "all song" and then "up" simply goes back to where I was before I did that.
I want to be able to go back to the "top" and flick through all the album art (just like the demo video from HTC quite clearly shows - even in the video clip on the device).

As far as I can see, it is not possible to flick only through albums. On TF3D screen you always flick trough songs. In TF3D-demo-video is always only one song in a album. So that suggest you to flick trhough albums.
Or am I wrong???
go to "all songs" and activate one song. go to tf3d and you are done.
Yes you can only flick through songs. Although it may look like you're flicking through albums.. If you're trying to get all your songs/albums back on TF3D, go into Library > All songs, and start a song from there.. it will bring up all the songs in your library into TF3D's music plugin.
thanks...
thanks...
that is what I was looking for

Music cover art - again

I can now get cover art for all my songs, great, but why sometimes the covers are shown up like a 3D queue if all the songs in the same album have the same cover art for example, but sometimes it just shows up 1 cover art for the whole album no 3D queueing system?
See screenshots, the 2Pac album is shown with a 3D queue, the Duffy one is showing a single cover although it's got 12 songs in it?
you get 1 cover per album.
is the 2pac album 2 cds/folders?
Hi,
Yes tha's right, 2PAC album is in 2PAC/CD1 and 2PAC/CD2, why would that make any difference though?
Thanks

Of course it does - probably because the files of 2Pacs greatest hits are tagged Disc 1 or Disc 2 - counts as two sperate albums. Do what I do for double CDs, rather than splitting, have as one long album and rename the track numbers. Eg your 2pac set at present will have two track Ones etc...
That's right and because you have probably chosen to play by artist, it displays them in alpha order by artist which means you will get a cover for each track with them being from different CDs effectively.

How can you choose to display by Artist? When you choose artist it takes you the album the song falls into then you select the song to play.
By the way, although the 2Pac album is stored into 2 Folders, but their ID3 tags are the same for Album Name: 2Pac Greatest, same as Duffy?

Sorry, forgot about this thread.
I only played with the TF3D music player for one evening but I noticed you only get one cover for each each album. e.g. if you had 5 tracks from album A and 1 each from albums B, C & D. Then you would see 4 covers. Moving through the first 5 tracks wouldn't change the first cover.
The music player see's the 2Pac CDs are two different albums, even though they share the same cover.

Touch Flow 3d mp3 player

H, I was wondeirng if there is a way to browse through albums by their album cover on the touch flow 3d mp3 player - at the moment, I can only browse through individual songs, and the only way to browse by album is to press "Library", and browse the list in there. I was looking for a way to browse through the albums by their covers, and subsequently clicking on an album cover in order to play the songs within this album without having to go into the "Library".
Thanks
Touchflo 3d Album problems
Was wondering the same thing. I seem only to be able to add an album to the now playing and then flick through these on the 3d interface.
Any help would be appreciated and so far all my search attempts haven't helped.
use the search function!
look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2617381&postcount=5
there is plenty of info and tuts about this subject!!
Please read my original post, and you will see that you have not answered my question; you have simply provided information on another topic.
I don't think you can do what your asking, not really wanyways.
You can go into the library and go to albums, and it should show little icons of the art. Your asking can you brows them at the 3D menu?
The current TF3D Player represents only the current Now Playing list, and nothing else. So no, unfortunately there is currently no other way to browse albums by art on the front music page of TF3D.
If you're willing to go with another app, use S2P (the special Diamond version), and you'll then be able to do this. If you want to stick with TF3D's player, you're stuck with the above. I hope HTC improves this in future releases.

Touchflo 3d music

Hi guys,
The girlfriend got a Touch Diamond. She wants to use the TF3D music player but I'm a bit confused.
Firstly, it doesn't seem to show all the stuff she's sync's on the today screen. Only when I go into 'Library - songs' and play them all.
Secondly, once you've started playing something, how do you get it back to the albums screen? Like, so she can flick through the albums in 3d rather than through just the current playlist, or every song?
Cheers,
Mike
