I've searched all over....i would've sworn when i first got my G1 it could read my work schedule.....since all this modding i cant find an app n the G1 wont open the files......anyone have a solution or kno something i don't?
The browser can view sheets in Google Docs, I believe. I tried it once a while ago and it wasn't very elegant. If you're going to be doing any significant work you'd probably need to get one of the paid apps.
thanks...but all i wanted was one way....like i didnt want to edit or create...just read them...

I had to get my phone replaced and i happened to write down the apps i have downloaded and i cant find the you tube downloader app anymore, i really liked doing that so i could download a video straight to the phone. Is there any way i could get the app back? i cant find it on the market any more...
You should try searching. There is already a thread on this topic somewhere in this forum. They took it down from the market. I have it if you want to PM me your e-mail address I can send it to you. I am not sure we are supposed to post it here (Don't know why).
I just bought it for $2. The upgrade over the older app was worth it. I bought it on my G1 and downloaded after paying. I found the link on the Android Community site, but can not remember the link. Worth the purchase.
I was wondering since folks have been able to port the HTC Music Player out of Hero into other ROMS I was REALLY hoping someone figured out a way to do the same for the PDF Reader. It renders PDF files that other PDF readers hiccups with flawlessly and I'm gonna say goodbye to my Hero ROM for the more practical CyranogenMod. Thus I thought it would be awesome if this could be ported or someone is already working on it, surely if it isn't already it should be since it doesn't seem as heavy duty as the HTC Music Player which is already ported out
and incase i get any snark yes I searched in here with "PDF" but get "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." so any help would be appreciated

i doubt you searched. PDF brought up a huge list for me here are my results.. PDF viewer is already available is most of the ROMs around here, i know for a fact cyanogens latest experimental has it, im looking at it right now on my phone lol. if you want it, just pull it from a build and install/push with adb or using linda.

its cool, just glad you got things going. dont think bad, at least you are asking good questions and tried to search before yelling HELP!!!
best of luck, you got questions, SEARCH and then SEARCH some more and then ask.
I figured with all the smart folks that this would be the place to get an answer. I'm one of those who is missing a couple paid apps from the market. Not a HUGE deal but I want them back at some point. Anyone here know the real deal?
Here's a link with a little more info
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=25b86f2ce5166c3c&hl=en
I looked for a thread around here but couldn't find one. If there is one please direct me there and apologies if this is has already been posted.
My apologies as I think I got my answer in that thread I linked to. Someone just contacted one of the developers and it appears the missing apps are copy protected apps and google appears to be blaming devs and devs are blaming google.
All I know is I want my paid apps. Surely they'll get this straightened out...
Nevermind...

I want to purchase Quitter from Barnes & Noble.
However, I would like to read it using Moon+ Pro (I have the paid version) mainly for the text-to-speech capabilities (listening while driving etc) but also I just like the app better anyway.
Alternatively, I could just purchase it directly from the source, the daveramsey.com website, which gives out a DRM free ePub (I think).
I would LIKE to purchase it from B&N in order to support them (so they make a Nook Color 2 etc in the future ). But if it's too much of a hassle to remove the DRM so I can read it via Moon+, then I'll just purchase from daveramsey.com.
Has anyone successfully removed removed the DRM from an epub purchased from Barnes & Noble? Is it a hassle or pretty easy? I found a few "guides" which seemed like nightmares... Hopefully that is out of date and there are newer/easier ways?

I haven't seen anyone or news site say it's been hacked but it's also something that would be considered warez or at least illegal so I don't know how much information you are going to get here let alone if you should be even posting this on XDA.
It's not much different that what we do here on XDA every day - bypass phone protections/security/lockdowns/etc... Hell, rooting a phone to enable tethering could be considered "theft of services".
Anyway, I don't know of anything directly, but googled "remove B&N drm" and got quite a few guides. Some were older though, so just gotta find something that's currently working.

Hmm, maybe you're right. I just thought since it's a purchased item, I should be able to do what I want with it. Bleh.
Google "drm tools archive", should be the first link. I use calibre. My wife and I each have a nook and don't have them tied to the same account, so there are books we buy that we both want to read at the same time.
hey was just wondering if anyone has broke down the sprint htc hero because i dropped mine and put a huge crack in it. i know its old and all but i like to use it for music web and whatnot if i dont want to use the pc or laptop. but if someone could recomend a place to buy a screen or if anyone has an old bricked one or whatever the case may be let me know. oh and also how to take it all apart. ty
I'm sure there is a guide somewhere in the forums, but a simple google search brought something up. You can just go to the Instructables website and search for "HTC Hero Sprint." Sorry, but I would post a direct link except that I need to get my posts up.
