mp4 video encoder

hi all
is it possible to make use of the built-in camera mp4 (h264) encoder in a third-party app? the problem is: when i record clips using standard htc software (6.00 build 31516) it creates nice and small mp4 files but in case i want to record them with some other software utilizing the camera all i get is big asf file created with "WMVideo9 Encoder". no chance to select "mp4 encoder" .
any ideas?
regards
cosmos
Even I had the same problem I tried to see the video on real player and had no sound. Then i played the same video on VLC media player and I can hear the sound. Try the same video in different players. This is on my computer not on phone.
This is a decent site to take the mp4 and convert it to a different format. You could then move it to another program and play with it (i.e. once it's an avi).

Question regarding Tilt/Kaiser video recording.

Hello,
Please forgive me if this is posted somewhere, I wasn't having any luck with the search.
I want to record video with my kaiser, (tilt), when I record it and play it back on my phone it works fine, but when I put it on my computer I have video but no sound, is this normal? Is there no way to get a full semi youtube worthy video out of this device?
Thanks!

[Q] Encoding Video for Nexus One

I have some movies that I'd like to encode for playback on my Nexus One using Handbrake or some other type of freeware. What format is best to use with the Nexus One, that would give the best playback performance. I assume there must be some type of format that is natively supported, or hardware accelerated.
A google search should probably pull up that info, but I stopped worrying about that a long time ago. I just switched to Mobo Player and now never worry about encoding video. It will play anything.
So I assume from searching that MP4 is the preferred method of encoding, but what about the sound? Just looking for some more details on this.
Well, mp4 is just a container. It doesn't tell you about the video nor the audio codec used in the video file. You can try recording a video and then viewing the codecs used in making that video.

UHD Video Editing app

Ok, Samsung has integrated recording of UHD video for quite some time now, but I've looked everywhere for an app that will allow me to edit a UHD video, even if I want to convert the video to a lower resolution so if someone doesn't have the ability to play back UHD video, at least I could down convert it to HD so I can send the video to others to watch.
I have looked everywhere, and have yet found a video editing app that will allow me to edit UHD videos. Has anyone run across an app that works, with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, or any Android device for that matter, which will allow someone to edit/downscale, etc UHD videos on their device? I'm not trying to find a fully functional video editing application, just one that will at least recognize the type of video it is and possibly allow me to downconvert the video or trim it. If anyone knows of any Android video editing application that works with UHD videos, I would really appreciate a couple of suggestions, unless I'm correct and none exist. Thanks.
