okay i have the wing with Tzones with the proxy settings and i cant seem to get to any websites lyk google etc...none of my IM programs work even with changin tha port to 110...funny thing is "www.yahoo.com" works nd loads up but when if i click any links from there it says the same when i try to access any other websites " Error requested conent cannon be accessed. you do not have access to the site."umm yea so ive posted a bunch on HOward Forums but no one can seem to help me out on mayb what givs with this whole problem...i was wondering mayb if i flashed to a new ROM would it make a difference....any help is apprcieated.....thanks guys
Are you using 216.155.165.50:8080?
If so, then that's strange... unless t-mobile closed the hole in your area...
Either way, a third party ROM is always a good thing... unless you have the patience to go around and properly cleaning the wing ROM. (The WING ROM isn't that bad, it's just badly cluttered. My clean ROM is based on it.)
I went through a similar situation 2-3 weeks ago .... took about a week for everything to get back to normal.

NextPiMp...you say you had similar problem...but its now fixed??...did you do anything yourself to fix it or it just started working all by itself...the thing is i dont really feel like waiting 2-3 weeks for it to start working cause if it doesnt work by then im kinda paying for T-zones for nuttin ( although its 6 bucks it just feels like a waste )

I recommend getting Pocket ToolMan v2.0.21, then use it to set all three Connections Setting (T-Mobile Data, MMS, Modem) to Always On. This help with troubleshooting identify you have your t-zone setting correctly or if it's just not connected when you troubleshoot. I click on the Edge icon and it will show you that all 3 is connected.

the new v of im+ 4.53
after install and disconnect of it
i no longer have any data function
im uninstalled no change
emailed them about it..
im thinking some sort of reg problem?

I never unistalled IM+. I just reflashed with a new ROM and installed it. I suggest you do the same. If you're running the stock T-Mobile ROM, you'll be MUCH happier anyways.
It may be, bc the moment IM+ stops using the data connection, it tells the phone to disconnect it. Try going to the comm manager before and after you run IM+ and see if the data connection is open before and then check it after. The program might just be closing the data connection and you just need to reactivate it.
Also, if you're convinced the problem lies with IM+, go to their site, and see if there's something in their forum or report it.

ok, well on a fresh restart of the phone [power cycle] data connection is greyed out. soit seems data is disabled now
further more, if i try to connect right now, and it trys and fails, i dont get calls.. so i have to restart..
last time this happened i flashed up to open touch and still had the same problem
so how do i get the data connection active again, with out making my wing fly into a wall
in commanager "data" is allways greyed out!!!
it is only available for DISCONNECTING.
i don´t know why but it was like this all the time. also with wizard. no way to establish a connection manually. only by using IE or any other gprs-needing program.

atleast some good has come from this. the first time i had to ship the phone i went ot the local ups store, the 2nd time it happened i went and they know me already - had a help wanted sign, filled the app out and got the job
so thanks to defective phones i got a new job... which will be nice when it comes to having to ship the this one back when i get my next replacement..

When you installed Touch IT, did you run the network wizard to set up the correct settings?

3. what is the best gps to use with the tilt? I couldn't get tomtom to work because it couldn't detect my internal gps.

For email, are you using your own WiFi, or a hotspot somewhere? I find that when I am at home and using WiFi, I need to set my SMTP server to my ISP's, but if I am away from home and using GPRS I have to set the SMTP server to that of my mobile provider. I would guess it's the same for using different Wifi networks, since most won't allow you to send email via SMTP server A whilst connected to a network using SMTP server B. This is called relaying, and is to prevent spam mail being sent. Course I could be totally wrong, and your problem is something else!
Can you surf the net via WiFi? If so, try setting the device up for hotmail (just get a hotmail account if you haven't got one) and try sending mail from Hotmail. If you can do this, its more likely either a SMTP server problem, or go through the email settings menu, click on advanced server settings and see what the network connection is. It should be "The Internet".
For a must have program....since you seem to be using the phone for internet connections, get Opera Mobile. It's free and a substantially better browser that the stock Pocket IE. Other than that, browse the forums, you will find so much! Have a look for my post in this thread. Lots of idea's for programs!

1.) Get the keyboard fix, its in the CAB list, its under "Tilt keyboard fix".
2.) Try seeing what it is connecting to and if your wifi modem is letting it connect to it
3.) Probably Tom Tom the one made for the tilt. Its on here somewhere.
4.) CAB List has some . PM me and I will tell you some more in detail.

Why do people try to drive people away from the tilt? Most of the regular users wont see the problem, they will just see that its a bit slow when doing things and overall its a great phone. If you see that its a slow phone then you are over using it.

i know that the cliq is not an htc branded device, but this is the only place that i felt i would recieve help on my issue. ok so heres my issue, i dont have a data plan but during setup up a motoblur account it gives an option to set up wifi. so i attempt to tun on wifi and the phone reboots every time i click turn on wifi. if any could help me with this issue i would greatly appreciate it.

theres no root for cliq yet
most likely its something wrong with phones software just take it to a t-mo store or call customer service they'll probably jusst give you a new one if they think its that serious.

seriously, this is bull****. You use wifi, not 3g, so you dont need to have a data plan. There is something seriously bad on your cliq. Try some wipes and then return it to store.

the cliq has a "known issue" ....if you are turning wifi on/off without an actual wifi connection present, the phone reboots itself...it happens mainly when turning wifi off, when there is no wifi connection or if you are out of range...not sure if this is the case with yours, but just thought i would add that tid bit of info, maybe it will help someone.

i have wifi in my home, it doesnt let me scan for any wifi connections. all it does is let me check turn on wifi, then it acts as if it will turn on then it reboots
i saw on tmobile's forum's that their was an update for the cliq http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/MOTOROLA-CLIQ-with-MOTOBLUR/Moto-Cliq-System-Update-Failure/m-p/235903 i was thinking that if i found a link to this update and do a wipe and flash that i could fix my wifi problems...just need help finding the update
Hi guys my phone have another problem it's scanning but no network found ..I have Linksys routher from CISCO all other phones detecting this routhers wi-fi network but CLIQ doesn't what can be happened? phone is brand new and unlocked with the code sent by T-Mobile. Thanks in advnace.

The only update.zip's I have seen for it are the ones that are ready for root and waiting on someone to tell us how to pull the SPL so we can edit it. Some guys over at alldroid or cliq development have the .zip's already built and ready to go.

We should all start a bounty for all the things missing in WM7 on our HD2. I know They'll get it done (They have lives lol) but if there's money involved everyone will be motivated to work harder. I will start: 30USD from me if they can can get the following:

Cut & Paste is in the March NoDo update.
may not be a great solution, but has anyone tried the USB teathering method, then setting up an adhoc wifi network on the computer and sharing the dial up connection created in usb teathering?

But then you would need your laptop, your phone, AND your iPad/Galaxy/whatever out and that sort of defeats the purpose of wanting the wifi router built in to your phone.
I'll add my $30 to the bounty. I'm back in 6.5 on my HD2 because I use my wifi router quite a bit.

yes you would need 3 devices (hence why i said it might not be a great solution) but it might work for those that are desperate!
