Hey, Been working on this Tilt for a little awhile. I can use official roms just fine. However no matter WHICH custom rom I try, The camera will not work. Just shows up black. I have done a search, saw some people had same issues, then switch topic to radio rom cause of the sound. But nothing really solid on the camera. Seen some roms offer a hotfix, but those didnt do anything.
Kinda getting annoyed as this is the 2nd Tilt I tried to work on and had to scoff and say damnit and use the official roms without the branding.
Anyone know what the deal is from switching a ATT Tilt to a custom rom that the camera will work? Thanks.
You need to flash the correct radio for the rom.
Try a radio which is working with your rom. What rom do you have? SPL?
I currently was trying eOS 4.888.FiRe (Final Refresh) with a radio for 6.1
Had it HardSPled etc. Tried many diff cooked roms tho, couple radios, still camera is black.
Normally have to settle with Kaiser_HTC_ASIA_HK_WWE_3.34.721.2 just to have a non branded one. =/
If anyone has a good recommendation for a rom and the radio they KNOW works so camera etc will work, Ill install it. Just wanted this Tilt to be more then the sum of its orig programming. I just do this for friends who dont want to have ATT all over it.

Qtek_9100 old rom 1.6.7.1 after upgrading to 2.8.7.102?I downloaded a new 1.6.7.1 ROM, tried that several times and it kept on telling me that I'm using a newer ROM therefore an upgrade is not possible.Could you outline to me or point me to a detailed info for downgrading cause the new ROM is not stable on my device(Qtek 9100).It keeps on rebooting even during a call and when i'm running other applications.
I'd appreciate your kind help.Thanks a mil.

Did you backup your original rom? Also is aWizard not letting you go back to your previous rom? I have posted the production T-Mobile USA ROM in a different post on the board if you don't have your old ROM.
I am also curious what the issues are you are having as I have been wondering about trying the test ROM on a USA unit for T-Mobile going from 1.x to 2.x as you did.
I could use a link to the TMO USA MDA ROM just in case I need to exchange the machine. That said, I am having absolutely NO problems with the QTEK TEST ROM. However, I did lvlolvlo's trick and after I had flashed the new ROM, when it said that in 3 seconds it would install the extended ROM, I quickly soft-reset, and then installed the extended ROM stuff from TMobile. This automatically set up my internet, and made the email triggers a snap. I can now use my Motorola STEREO bluetooth headset (even has a mic for the phone). As an added bonus, with the TMO ROM, I was unable to have both MortButtons and MS VoiceCommand installed simultaneously (something about the startup folder), but with the QTEK ROM they both work.
You know, I came from the 6315, and this machine is FLAWLESS ... really a top-notch device, with the QTEK ROM, it is even better.
If you would like me to test out any functionality with this configuration, let me know, I'd be happy to test it out.
Can you get me that link to the original TMO ROM just in case?
I posted this not too long ago. It has the main rom and a link to the extended rom.

The reason I ask about your functionality is that you said your bluetooth stereo profile was working now but nothing else was? I am tempted to switch to the newer rom but not without some assurance it works semi decently. I am mainly interested in the Radio rom upgrade as mine seems to take a while to re-obtain a signal once it is lost and it ocassionally appears to not accept calls (going to voicemail) even though it has signal strength.
Does anyone else have this issue? I set up 3 or 4 speed dials, when I next try them, maybe a day later, they don't work... they've all vanished again!
Anyone have any ideas why?
Did you get an answer for this? I have the same problem. What rom are you running? I'm running Duttys v4
No not yet... I have the original Orange ROM I think. I guess this maybe means its not so much ROM related as Kaiser related?
Well until I flashed my rom to duttys v4 this didnt happen. Ive run a couple of other versions of duttys roms and this hasnt been a problem. i have read a few posts on the v2/v3 thread saying that you need to turn on touchflo through the ftouchfloconfig and then use the cube to add your speed dials. obviously this doesnt apply to you as your not running a rom with the cube in it but it didnt work anyway.
I wonder if its related to the radio? I wouldnt have thought so cos i believe the radio only deals with calls, wifi etc but just noticing were both on uk orange and I still have the original radio (1.27.12.29), which radio are you running?
Anyone have any ideas on this??? its pissing me off now!
load your speed dials thru your cube. power down power back up. all fixed.
Great that worked thanks. I could have sworn I'd already tried that. Oh well, im an idiot! Any ideas why it doesnt work on AndyCr15's device? He has original orange rom. You could always just flash it I guess, original Orange rom is ****e anyway compared to the custom roms you can get on here.

To be completely honest. I have no idea. I am not familiar with the orange roms.
I have no problem flashing my device, I did it several times with my old Universal. Can you advise what would be a good one for me? I tend to prefer simple but fast ones.
one of duttys lite roms then in that case. ive only tried duttys but from what everyone says, theyre the best anyway. make sure you only flash your rom and not your radio or get your phone sim unlocked cos theres problems with blocking the phone when flashing radio on orange phones. theres a thread on flashing orange kaisers somewhere on here. and if you go to the dutty v4 thread you should be able to find the link to all his roms and other cab files in the first post.

Hello everyone...
I bought a used Tilt and unlocked it and flashed it with the newest stock rom.. Now the camera displays a black screen and the audio for programs seems to onyl work sometimes... I ahve another Tilt and know what it shoudl sound like.. I flashed it with the newer AT&T Tilt Rom I got directly from the link from AT&T's website to the HTC download...
The flash worked great besides that... GPS works great, it makes and receives calls fine.. just those 2 problems... I will be selling this 2nd one so I want it to have the newest stock rom... Plus this newer version comes with HTC Home already incorperated...
After doing some reading (yes, I did before I am asking) I figured out it is most likely jsut a problem with the radio... I was wondering if you guys can point me to the correct radio to use with that rom.. I am not too concerned at the moment with which radio will work best with which carrier, etc.. I just really care that it fully functions at this point, so I am not being too picky... Thank you in advance for you advice!
did you search for this problem. Sounds like an issue that is mentioned weekly.

Hello
I find a problem.. I wanted to flash my shipped rom with some 6.5 rom. I unlocked spl a flashed newer radio and something went wrong. Everything seems to be ok but 3G networks/HSDPA doesnt. I have 3G icon, network setting is ok but speed is so slow. (like GPRS).
Does someone know where is a problem? i tried different roms, radios and spl a so much combinations but nothing ..
please help me and i would like to epologize for my bad english thank you!
Spirit303
my rom is 1.93 WWE shipped, spl 1.4 security unlocked, radio 1.00.25.5
It`s not advised to flash a new radio on your headset. Not to mention a new OS!
Try getting the las radio version on this forum.I did not encounter this issue , but try to F around the Settings a bit and see how it turns out.
what did you mean by unlocking the spl.......? did you flash it already with the hardspl....? well, i'm also a complete noob if compared to anyone around here;;just got myself a new Htc Diamond a couple of days ago.....but i've read the forum enough to realise that flashing a hard spl is the first thing to do if you're planning to F*** around with rom or radio flashing or anything else on ur diamond......sorry if it might sound like teaching you to suck eggs....and btw, i also faced the issues you've mentioned....3g internet slowdown..:yup, the icon is indicating H,i.e HSDPA yet the speed is soo rotten like the taste of those horrible days of GPRS.
and i solved it by flashing the latest radio available...cant really remember the version, but i'm sure you'll find it if you read the stickies....
currently running Donsalary's Sense 2.5 Lite Rom and pretty satisfied with the speed of connection and my device......hopefully you'll find the workaround for your issues
