Hi guys and rom developers,
Since monday the 15th of june I'm a proud owner of a HTC TP2 smartphone.
This smartphone comes with the dutch version of windows mobile 6.1 professional and it is already sim unlocked (all HTC phones are sim unlocked).
I want to dump the rom+spl+p anything else to help the community to produce a Hard-SPL, cooked roms etc.
I admire the work that Pof has been doing during these years for the xda community and I want to help a bit. I know quite a lot of dumping, flashing, unlocking etc (just by reading the posts and tutorials on xda-dev).
I want to know how many members (including Pof) are interested in rom dump of a HTC TP2 Dutch.
Let me know by posting in the thread or by PM.
ROM dumps are always welcome!
other members with a branded device may want the dump when hardspl is launched....
and chefs might want a dump to look at the OEM goodies inside to incorperate in there next (NL) cooked ROM...
so just dump it!!

HTC TP2 and MDA Vario V Dump
Guys,
A good friend of mine has bought the T-mobile MDA Vario V (Rebranded TP2).
I will offer the community tomorrow a rom dump of a dutch HTC TP2 and a dutch T-mobile MDA Vario V.
I hope that by comparing the two dumps, that Olipro/Pof can make a sim unlocker and a Hard-SPL.

As promised
I have extracted the rom from both TP2 and MDA Vario V (T-mobile rebranded TP2).
Both roms are in Dutch, so no WWE.
I have attached also both hardware information and storage map of both devices.

I have only managed to extract the rom as .raw files. If somebody can convert them to .nbh that would be great.

I am very interested to dump the original TP2 onto my VarioV. I am annoid about the Tmobile web 'n walk integration in the Opera browser. I have installed a clean Opera but after a restart it still does the Web 'n Walk part. Therefor I cant wait till one of you guys found a way to dump the rom onto a Vario5.

Does anyone have an MDAIII from TMobile released in the UK? I have a German MDAIII using an PDA2K ROM now and would love to put the TMobile UK English version ROM on it....
I have the UK T-Mobile ROM, but haven't worked out how to back it up yet.

I sent an email to the developer to see if he could update the tool for the 128 bit header that the MDAIII has instead of the 64 bit header that of the XDAII and I.
You could try it as is though.

I have a UK T-Mobile MDA III. If someone posts me a link to the required Rom dump tools and a quick walk thru or command line then i'll upload it.
Anything to speed up development on it as i really need it unlocked :lol:

I love the black case so much in comparison to the PDA2k and MDA III that I'd be willing to buy one and try it out. Of couse, there's also the issue of unlocking it if not already unlocked...

I've found a site which describes how to backup the ROM to a SD card on an XDA IIs so presumably it would work for the MDA III? here's the link:

Now that the MDAIII is listed on T-mobile UKs website, does anyone know the web address for ROM downloads on T-mobile UKs websites?
Dagger ga, I am currently complaining to T-Mobile UK about this very issue and there is another guy in the same boat. The MDA III still have the bluetooth and mic issues and although T-Mobile Germany has seen fit to post an patch/upgrade (including blackberry) the support in the UK is non existent.
I would urge you to add your voice to mine and contact T-Mobile UK customer services/technical support. Hopefully at this rate they have got to start to listen to all of us. The non existent support is scandalous for such a high end device.

The best thing to do is install another ROM eg, i-mate ROM, and then install all the T-Mobile Extended ROM files from backup...
To backup the extended ROM...
1) Download this file to your device and run it! - ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Extended_ROM_Kitchen_1_22/Tools/xda-developers _Unlocker.CAB
(this will installed the extended rom tools to your device.)
2) Under "Programs\Extrom Tools\" on your device click, "unlock" then click ok, next click "unhide" then ok! After this reset your device.
3) With the device ActivSync'd to your PC, browse to your device from you PC and you'll now see a folder called "Extended ROM" in the main "Device" window. In here are all your extended rom files. Copy ALL the files in this folder to your computer - DO NOT DELETE OR MODIFY ANY FILES IN THIS FOLDER (unless you know what you're doing)!!!
4) Go back into "Start\Programs\Extrom Tools\" on your device click, "lock" then click ok, next click "hide" then ok! After this reset your device.
5) ALL DONE - you should now have a copy of your extended ROM files.

This worked for my dutch Herald! It's unbricked now and working smooth, thank you very much for this, now i don't have to send it to HTC repaircenter!
anyone have a english version ? i'v tried to download it from the htc eclub. it says to choose your handset from the list and language then download but doesn't give you the list.
I contacted HTC and they said the amount of people who have registered on the eclub just for that download and messed everything up. so don't know what's happening ?

He/she asked for an original o2 rom ,so why ask for wm6 or cooked roms, why not try searching? Then you will find out that NOBODY has released a wm6 rom for the Alpine

The qtek2020 is a Himalaya NOT an Alpine, your ROM will either not install or will brick the device.

Hello, I need an original TMO ROM NLD for return. I already reconstructed the orignal raw files for the os.nb now I only need the splash and radio. If someone can provide me a TMO splash preffered from the NLD rom and radio information so I can return to origin.

There must be somebody with a TMO splash! Or provide a link to an TMO TP2 original rom from any kind of country or knows withs TMO rom has the same splash.
And to the dutch user maybe some can provide the radio version (I don't need a specific link for the radi, I think I can find this somewhere on the board)
Dumping Splash screens isn't easy (I've nver figured it out )

Sorry, took a few reads to figure out it's not a shipped ROM, it's a reconstructed Dump.
Try looking at the T-Mobile websites for a Ship EXE, I'll see if I can figure out how to dump .
Or try another WVGA device. Here's the Germal T-Mobile Ship Exe for the Topaz - http://rapidshare.com/files/2564964...Signed_Topaz_61.20t.25.10_3.43.25.19_Ship.exe. No one should notice, unless the splash says what device it's from .

Were you ever able to get the original T-Mobile splash screen? I need to send my phone in and was unable to get my splash screen back to the stock T-Mobile one. I have a T-Mobile US Rhodium and I have been looking around but was unable to find the one for my phone.

here are the raw files from a german t-mobile rhodium (called MDA Vario V). I am not able to build a nbh-file out of this. Can someone do this? Afterwards we could upload the nbh-file in the Rhodium section of the xda´s Wiki, so anyone could flash it who needs this for warranty reasons.

I have Finnish stock ROM (1.19.414.1) dump. There isn't Finnish stock ROM in XDA repository yet. It isn't available on HTC pages either.
I can send the dumped files if someone is kind enough to rebuild the ROM. I don't have knowledge to do it.
