Hello,
I've looked everywhere but I can't find sollution for my problem.
I wanted to have a polish dictionary on my new HTC Topaz (Diamond2) and found this topic
http://pdaclub.pl/forum/index.php?topic=132098.0;prev_next=prev#new (sorry in polish) and I've installed te cab file from the link there
(this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58487&d=1195298846)
It have installed the launguage but there is a strange autofill option always turned on even if the keyboard is on ABC mode. The space doesent work propery. At the firs tap it doesn't do anything and on second it copy the underlined text. It works as it would suggests some strange words. It's almost impossible to write a correct sms or everything else by this keybord. New word which I'm writing is underlined.
All the option for autocorrection are off in settings menu.
InWriter keabord seems to work fine?
Maybe it just need to be reinstall but I don't have any oryginal files.
Please HELP!
edit: now I found out that I probably have EzInput 2.0 keyboard which does not support old language files. What should I do now? Install the new version od EzInput?

What you give is installed in Diamond, but it has no Farsi support.
Also in any filling place such as renaming a file, the typed mattes is not shown during typing. It means you have a hole typing box during typing!
Other thing is that the related arabic keyboards are shown too small (one third of main keyboard)!
What could solve these problems?
Hi folks.
At first i have to say, that this is a somehow unclean and tricky solution, but it works somehow and maybe it can be improved.. There are some threads on this forum, which deal with that, but i'm going to describe, what i did, to get it working.
You need:
- The new Touch IT 2.1-ROM (don't know yet, if it works with other ROMs - think only if it's the same build)
- A backup from a german ROM (mine was made by SPB-backup from the cmEX-image, also don't know if other ROMs/backup tools work)
- The language files from here (German.rar)
- A registry editor (I used PHM regedit)
First i took all the mui-files out, by using the Windows search and copying them into another folder, then i transferred them via ActiveSync into the \Windows folder.
Then I put a link to the registry tool and to the explorer and PHM regedit in the TF3D programs panel (you'll need that, because after changing the registry to use german language your start menu will be screwed up for some reason and you can't access any program anymore).
Now you have to change two registry values and optionally set your region in the regional settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]
"SysLang"="1031" (for german)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI]
"CurLang"="1031"
-> It's time to do a soft-reset and you'll notice, that the pin-dialogs and so on are in german.
Go to the TF3D programs panel (as i said: Start menu will be screwed up - there are links for programs and settings, but they won't work) and start explorer to execute your backup.
After that your ROM should be fully german.
This is probably not a very good solution and it's kind of buggy, but it is a start..
I couldn't get it until know, how to cook the language files into a ROM (tried it with extracting the new Touch IT 2.1 and inserting the files from German.rar, but ended up with the device starting up and showing a black screen all the time).
If somebody could help me out with that, i would, if i am allowed, make a german version of the Touch IT 2.1 ROM.
Any additions or corrections appreciated!!
I've searched for this topic but came up empty.
Some system files, Align Screen for example, comes up with Greek letters in the title but English instructions. I have run Kaiser Tweak and Advanced Config at different times, but I don't see any utility to change the system font.
Any ideas?

This is a wery weak post, you dont include any needed information as ROM, phone, installed apps and so on. To try answer this blindly you can goto my cab corner and grab one of the font cabs I made and see if that solves it for you.
Does File Dialog Changer from here http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/2039/ , work for you with a WM 6.5 ROM?
it doesn't work at all for me. And if i try to disable it to reenable it later, the device freezes.
not work any more.
any ideas?
Got the same freeze. Its functionality seems to be broken in WM6.5...
i guess we need to wait for an update from the developer.
Since it hasn't been updated in years I guess were out of luck.
Is there any alternatives that work with 6.5?
Default file dialog is from category "nonsense" / "ridiculous", especially if you have a huge flash card full of mp3's, it will take minutes before you be able use your phone after opening that file dialog.
still don't understand why 6.5 sticks to that old file dialog
Is there a solution now for changing the system file dialog in WM6.5? This standard thing is absolutely crap.
I don't understand why microsoft still use this file dialog.
Thanks,
Markus
There IS a WM6.5 fix for filedialogchanger
The mad programmer DID update his program for WM6.5, it's now version 1.66'.
Get the two files (filedlgchg.cpl and the internationalised gsgetfile.dll) here:
http://www.geocities.jp/hou_ming_2/filedlgchg_WM6_5.zip
http://www.geocities.jp/hou_ming_2/gsgetfile-i.zip
then copy it to your \Windows directory.
I've mirrored the files below since the mad programmer's geocities server sometimes spasms.
You can read his translated page here:
http://www.geocities.jp/hou_ming_2 (translated
BTW I tested this with WM6.5.5.
test on htc hd2?
Has anyone tried this on the HTC HD2 or another HTC phone with Sense?
Thanks

Thanks for the files, I was looking for this
Hi,
I installed Nameless ROM and I love it. However, I'd like to reinstall some apk from my stock rom backup, namely HTC_IME.apk and IMEXT9French.apk, which are french canadian HTC keyboard and system locale. I tried every way to install these. Copying to system/app, install from sdcard, from adb shell. Nothing works. I thought it might be because these utilize odex files and nameless don't. So I tried deodexing using xUltimate, but this too fails.
Any idea how I might fix this??
Thanks.
Did you try installing the apk with the default package installer
and what do you mean "Nothing works", does it not show in manage apps or the keyboard
I don't have the original apk installer because it came preinstalled on the phone.
By nothing works I mean that the french canada locale does not show under language and keyboard. Also the HTC keyboard in french is azerty whereas a french canada keyboard is supposed to be qwerty.
I know I can bypass this by installing another keyboard, but I liked the HTC one and I made a point to resolve this issue just for the sake of it and as a way to learn how all this apk and android stuff works.
I've finally been able to deodex the fils manually, but still not working. When I run the apk and choose install, I get an error message "not installed".
I guess there might be some dependant files that need to be present in the Framework folder or maybe elsewhere?
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Is it just the stock Canadian keyboard your looking for? If so let me know and I'll pull the apk and post it for you.
In the future Titanium Backup may be useful to you, it's saved my butt plenty of times.
You should be able to get away with unzipping this archive and copying the two files I've included to system/app/ then restarting the device.
Let me know if that works.
Thank, I will try that. I already tried copying these two files from my stock backup, but that was not successful. I'll see if it's different with yours. I'll let you know what the result is.
awful eourchas
I'm still getting the f$%?" ASZERTY keyboard whenever I switch to french. I found that I can keep the English keyboard and turn on the second language autocorrect for french, which is working but not ideal.
I will take a look at Titanium Backup and see if I can come up with something.
Yeah, I would try restoring with Titanium Backup, later tonight I can send you a TiBa file. Did the French keyboard use the qwerty layout when you were on stock? My girlfriend uses an Optimus l7 and her stock keyboard had two layouts, t9 and qwertz which was extremely annoying and hard to use.
Also, maybe it's worth while to look into another keyboard, I switched to SwiftKey and find its way more functional than stock. I don't find it is slow like I remember from over a year ago on my x10.
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
Yes my stock had a french qwerty keyboard.
I'll take a look at Swift Key. I had installed GoKeyboard but did not like it cause it takes way too much screen estate.

I can't see it. What's the actual name of the Installer?
