I'm searching but can't find the difference between the different versions of english ROMs. Does anyone know if there is any difference besides languages and the origin (Asia, Middle East, etc)?

i got a deutschland (german lang) brown jade, please let me know how to dump the rom step-by-step if anyone's interested (in PM too... ), got a fast ftp server to let this board's member download once dumped.
At the same time i need a stock Italian rom for this Jade T3232 (JADE100 64M SPL-1.40.000), maybe from the italian HTC Jade blue edition ?!?
Anyway I keep in touch with cmonex about this issue and i'm waiting a reply and a help from him.

I have no idea where mine is from! Lol!!!
I bought it on a trip to the US from a store that sells unlocked phones that aren't available in the US. So i really don't know the origin of my ROM.
I did install the 1.40.721.2 after HARD-SLP the one that came with the phone (1.40.401.2). Only big difference I found was that it came with Google Maps but it didn't make much difference since it was an old version of the software.

Well, theoretically it's possible to cook a Dutch wm6.5 rom, but have you seen the performance of the WWE version? Secondly, the new "honeycomb" interface is ONLY available in WWE AFAIK, so that would pose a problem too.

You could look on the unoffical a701 forums reloaded. You can download a NLD 65 ROM. Then use the extracted files and modules to build your blackstone ROM

All roms are signet, so they are safe to use.
They are updating your ROM version (some things are fixed, one is showing 288ram instead of 256)

FYI ....

Has anyone uploaded a Vodafone branded rom that could be linked to?
If not, I've dumped the 4 part files, but haven't re-built it. If anyone wants these files to re-build the rom, PM me and I'll upload them.

I Strongly for those who planning to FLASH this new ROM released by HTC recently.... BETTER NOT TO DO IT!!!
Reasons:
1) Since i have updated it, It has freezed my phone twice and after that i cannot perform activesync, before that, my phone was working 100% since I got it since Jun 2009.
2) Not worth of your time flashing it with just such minor updates.
Unless you want go thru this nightmare yourself.
Very Regret doing it.....
Advice: Just don't try to fix something which is not break, if you are happy with your existing ROM, just keep the way it is.

My guess is that it's some third party software that's causing your crashes.
I've updated mine, because I needed the sms hotfix. Haven't had any problems wit it yet...

Did you update using goldcard / QMAT??? I don't think it is possible to updated just those hotfix even after the ROM Updates without those goldcard/QMAT.
Btw i am using EU ROM

Can not use the update for the GPS, not for my device it says in the flashproces

You used QMAT or was just the normal windows procedure to update the rom?

That radio is'nt in the rom update, so how did you do that?

Now I'm confused
The new ROM has the new Radio 3.46 or the old on 3.44 ?
I thought the new ROM had the old rom in which we had to upload the new radio seperatly ?

QMAT appears to be something that a very competent tech might use - I have no damn idea what Goldscard is (aside from a form of credit card!).

A stable windows mobile 5 rom

Hi,
I'm currently looking for a stable (or as can be) uk windows mobile 5 rom. I have recently bought a usb sync cable and need to fix my Qtek 9090 stuck on the v2.08 bootloader screen.
If you could leave me a rom link I'd be greatly appreciative....
If I can only get windows mobile 2003 SE Link, I don't mind. I don't want 6.5 as I've heard it's not stable at all on my device (If I'm wrong about this please leave link)

these are the recent stable roms for the BA.
if you want my personal advice: i'd go with either sun_dream's WM6.5.3 Build 21630 because of the great manila version, or d-two's WM6.5.5 Build 23529 WWE for its speed, though all of them are rather fast and very stable.
i don't have wm5 anymore, sorry, but with those roms it is not needed anymore.

as a first time upgrader you should start off at the top, with flashing the wm2003 rom and making sure, you delete and resize the extrom, then flash the rom you picked afterwards. the exact procedure step by step is explained there, all the tools you need are linked there as well. although that makes the question redundant, let me answer your question: to flash the nk.nbf you need the RUU (rom upgrade utility), found in my signature and in that thread.
