How is you camera shooting? As i see the 3 Mpx camera should take also good pictures, but mine dont!
The camera is moving very slow, and almost always the pictures are smudged!
How is it for you, and is there any fix (a have tried several different ROM-s, and the same)
Thanks
What radio are you using? A lot of camera issues are resolved when you flash the recommended radio to go with it.

Okay, this is really weird. I just noticed this happening. My phone camera will take pictures in Small (S) and Medium (M) settings on the camera, but for High (H), 1 megapixel (1MP), 2 megapixel (2MP), and 3 megapixel (3MP) it takes partial pics. I attached a sample of the pictures it spits out. I have an AT&T Tilt with one of Dutty's ROMs. Forget which. The ROM is definitely not the problem as I've had it and have been using it successfully and taking tons of pictures with it for over a month now. The camera problem appeared yesterday. The only change that I've made to the phone is adding a few DIVXs to the memory card as I've purchased CorePlayer with the qtv driver. Anyone else experience the same? Please let me know. I know our cameras suck, but I must fix this. I am extremely good looking and insist on taking pictures of myself at odd angles for my social networking webstite logings.. Okay, kidding about the last part, but please!! I like the half-assed camera even if it is half-assed.
EDIT: Deleted the divxs, still same problem. Anyone? Please...
it happens only with the high ress pics?
it should be your memory, try taking a photo and saving it to the main memory
Try hard-resetting...
the camera is very slow and when I move the phone there is a delay,
i tried to download the fix from the original site and tried two roms
the original one and a cooked one but still the same
is this normal in tytn2 or is it just my mobile problem?
hope any one can advice
thanks
Hi,
this question was asked a thousand times now, please search the forum.
Anyway, here some short answers to your questions:
- In bright areas the camera works very good.
- Slow and laggy camera in dark (or better: not bright) areas is normal for the Kaiser. I would say it's normal for most PPCs.
- The HTC fix improves the camera a little bit, but not much.
- Flashing other ROMs does not really solve the problem. I've heared there is a ROM that improves the camera performance a litte bit, but not much.
- There's a little trick in dark areas: Switch the PPC off in camera mode and on again after about 3 seconds -> No laggy effect anymore, but the pics will be darker and more blurry.
- Some members here say the bad camera has something to do with the missing graphic drivers, but I personally do not believe that. I think this is more a hardware issue.

thanks
thanks a lot i thought it was only my htc's problem
hope they will find a way to fix the hardware
Also note that these cameras work best in NATURAL lighting, for instance outdoors it will probably not blur, usually interior lighting causes it to blur during motion. Another BIG factor is the Radio.
Hi guys... i'm new in this forum and i'm a brazilian, so sorry for my bad english
I've got my tytn some weeks ago, but i have a little problem... When I take any photos with the back camera (the 3.0mp one), it always ends up VERY blurred. I've noted that before pressing half-camera button, the camera image is nice, but when i take the photo or press half button, the camera image begins to blur. So, i think this is some problem with the auto-focus feature.
A curious note is that when i take/focus photos from very close (aprox 2-5cm from the camera), doesn't show any blur at all... but more far than that it gets completely blurred. And before doing any focusing, the camera picture isn't blurred at all.
The front camera photos don't get blurred because they haven't got any auto-focus, so the pics are shot instantenously.
Anybody has any idea of how fix that blur in the back camera? or at least how to deactivate the auto-focus so i can take some pic from distance?
Oh yes, i already cleaned the lens from inside and outside.
Thank everybody for the patience, and sorry for the bad english
try taking the battery cover off and take the photo and see how it comes off, they use cheap plastic on the camera cover and it gets a film of somesort on it and causes the pics to come out blurry

I use an original WM 6.1 rom, build 3.28.405.0 WWE from date 05/02/08
My radio is version 1.65.17.56
Just a note, this rom was flashed, my original rom was a 6.0 one with radio version 1.26.xx and rom build 1.7xxx from 2007 (i can't remember)
but even with the out of the box rom, the camera wasn't right, I think (I haven't used the camera until a little time ago)
BAD HTC autofocus
I have exactly the same problem with my Polaris Htc!! Please find a solution!!!I tried everything to resolve it but nothing worked. SOme people say it is a hardware problem, but i hope it is a software problem...

Thanks for all

try updating your camera app to this one
Nadavi's Camera
make sure u install HTC album first or else the Camera app will show a black screen while taking pics.
Also make sure your environment is well light and hold the camera still while takings pics, HTC didnt exactly make the best camera for this phone.
i had the exact same problem with my htc kaiser.
after 1 1/2 year, i decided to send it back to t-mobile to have it replaced due to a hardware warranty issue. the knew about the problem. there seems to be something wrong with the lense/sensor the auto-fokus uses. dunno.
about 2 days later i got my replacement tilt (refurbished one), reflashed to a anryl wm6.5 rom i used before and now the picture are way better
so you might try to get yours replaced.
The point is: your autofocus does not keep its parameters while the image is shot. Try hard resetting Kaiser, then install Nadavi's patch mentioned above, add latest HTC Camera and welcome!
P.S. If you do really need a cam in your Kaiser, switch to Android. Some builds support the camera, but it is... manual. I mean, you focus with a scroller wheel: far from perfect, but in some 50 pics taken you'll be into it quite nicely.
set the camera button to take the picture immediately and not full press
I thought I'd got used to the Z3c camera -- after battling it for weeks I finally figured out how to get decent (though not stellar) performance from it. But then last night for the first time I had to take a bunch of people pics in a dimly-lit room and every single one of them came out blurry to some extent. With flash, without flash, different scene modes used, no scene mode, different focus modes, auto, manual... nothing I did resulted in a decent photo. This did not seem to be an autofocus issue -- nothing in the frames was sharp at all. It seemed more like a shutter speed issue, like the camera was just selecting a shutter speed too slow to freeze even minor movements. Anyone else have this problem? Was I doing something dumb?!
I borrowed a friend's iPhone 5s and every single photo came out perfect. This Z3c camera is seriously starting to bug me. I just seem to be constantly fighting it to get acceptable results. It almost makes me pine for my N4 camera, which is saying something!

check capturing speed with this app >> CameraW
it can be application bug
if the capturing speed is normal with this app then u need to repair firmware to reinstall system app like Xperia Camera (By PC companion)
:good:
Hi, when I'm using the stock camera software on my up-to-date, non-rooted A2, with the front facing camera, many times, it's impossible to click on the "taking a picture" button right after taking a picture, it's like frozen for half a minute or so.
It's very annoying since my gf is obsessive with taking different angles of the same photo, and it keeps us smiling like stupid for a long time without being able to take pictures...
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Edit: I think that a viable workaround may be an app that can take high quality picture with the front camera, and is able to take a few pictures in a row (I downloaded some, but some of them shows me the picture after taking it, instead of going back to the camera screen, and some seems to lower the quality of the photos compare to the stock app).
Many thanks!
