Need help installing latest opera mini - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

for some reason i can install opera mini 4.2 on my phone anymore
current rom: JustStableMicro
after i download the mini.jad file from the opera site, i click on it and it displays "the file 'mini' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
there was another post about this but didnt find it helpful, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412426&highlight=opera+mini
wow i feel mad stupid...to run opera mini, you would need a java application.

Can't install gmail.jad midlet on Kaiser...

Anyone managed to install gmail.jad from gmail.com/app on Kaiser?
I've tried 3 different jvms - to no avail... Results in error messages saying the .jad is invalid. Kaiser not supported yet?
do you have a midlet manager installed?
install the attached file and then try to install your java based app.

Thanks man,
Of course I do, I tried 3 different ones: Intent, IBM MIDP 2.0 and Esmertec JBed and none of these worked. Those were the midlet managers that gave the error messages actually...
Just tried your version of Esmertec JBed, and I WAS ABLE TO INSTALL the gmail.jad midlet with the help of it! Still it won't run for some reason though... Guess I gotta do some more digging...
Thanks!
Have you made any progress in your search?
I had a similar issue with the IBM MIDP a while back, so I'm interested to see if how you've fixed the problem.
Do you happen to use Dutty's ROM?
I just installed this one to test and it worked for me on my Kaiser.
http://el8.org/gmail.jad
ROM: NoThrills WM 6.1 WWE *English* V3 - The first ROM with the brand new OS build 19202!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379411
Esmertec Jbed Build ID 20080222.3.1
you, sir, are a genius
where did you find that jad file???? i've been looking for a version of the new gmail applet (1.5.0) that would work with jbed and i couldn't find it ANYWHERE.
i have no idea where you got that file, but please accept my sincere thanks!
Your welcome. I did a search on Google for the following: gmail.jad
I found the link for that file on the last hit of the first page of results.
I can confirm it works on a Mio Digiwalker A501 as well
thx!
i cant install GMAIL applet. it asks if i want to install the unsigned applet but neither YES, no NO Buttons work.
Try this one
what does JBed3dMod_RU_FIX.zip do?
it installed.. just needed internet connection
can't find application
Hello! I successfully install the gmail.jar file and it runs quite well on my htc touch cruise. My problem is that after I close the application I can't find it anywhere in my file browser. The only way I can restart the app is to chose to reinstall the cab file, and then cancel the installation. After that it puts me to a folder called "Java" and there I can see the app and able to start. I think I should run Gmail through the previously installed the Cloudyfa_EsmertedJbed but I'm not able to find where it is installed on the device. Not even the search function is able to find it. Forgive me for being such a lamer and please help me !

What did you do to fix this? I've tried multiple times to install the Gmail application but it can never connect stating that it needs a Data Connection.
Mine just is stuck on "loading".... too bad because it used to work. I am on a kaiser as well.

co-sign, same here. Any ideas?
i use it all the time on my kaiser with no problems.
goto gmail.com/app in PIE (only works in PIE) and follow the instructions. It auto downloads an appropriate jad. Has worked every time for me, regardless of rom (currently Dutty's 29/04)
It installed perfectly fine for me thru PIE, however (for the guy that couldnt find the install location programfiles>java>Gmail)
but it wont connect, cant seem to get into any settings or anything either.
Was hoping this would work better then setting up gmail thru the mail client, when looking for certain emails w/ attachments and ****, the regular client doesnt have enough options.
Anyway anyone else get this weird need data connection error?
Obviously i have a data connection.

I was having lots of problems installing and then it would get stuck on loading. I used this jbed and it now works perfectly! thanks. I uninstalled the old one. I did some searching and didn't get a good answer - is there a way to hve multiple instances running?

no Java apps installing/running

I have a freshly reset Tilt (factory ROM) and I"m using Direct Push to connect to an Exchange server.
I am unable to get a single java app to load. I keep getting the same message.
"... cannot be installed because critical information between the website and the application file does not match. - 31"
I have tried Opera Mini (latest release), Gmail (latest release), and MGMaps.
This is the same error I get whether or not I load from online or offline files.
I've used both Esmertec Jbed 20080428.2.1 and Cloudyfa_EsmertecJbed.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I read the midlet post in the General forum, but didn't see anything to helo with this issue.
I wonder if it's Direct Push/Exchange security policies? That seems to be the cause of every other issue I've had.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Can't install the Gmail app!

i've been trying to install the Gmail app from m.google.com/mail
every time i try to use the install link i get the following message:
"the file 'googlemail' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certficate, or one of its components cannot be found."
any idea why this is? a friend of mine has managed to install it but he's using the default Orange rom and im on a Dutty rom
I believe GMail app is a Java midlet program. So what you need is a Midlet manager, I use Esmertec Jbed, but there are a lot of good ones out there.
thank you
all sorted now.

i installed esmertec and some concerns there.
1. the gmail app doesnt automatically get associated with Esmertec - is this normal?
2. when i do open esmertec and launch the gmail.jad file it doesnt install. gives me the same error as marksweb.
Still doesnt install...

iFonz 1.1.2

hi all, i installed iFonz 1.1.2 but didnt like it so uninstalled it, but now whenever i turn on my device it comes up with:
the file 'iFonz' cannot be opened. whether it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file.
does anyoen have any idea on what this could be??? gonna really annoy me
Go into file explorer, then go into My Device>Windows>Startup, then delete the iFonz file. I've done it before and I quite agree, it's a pain.
thanks
thanks buddy . it worked for me

QuickGPS

Hello Every Body.
After a bad Manipulation, QuickGPS doenst want start.
she said me: "the file QuickGPS" cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
Anybody can post a Cab of gpsrapid for my touch pro please?
Because all of gpsrapid i found on the internet has the same problem.
PLEASE....
Try making a new shortcut to quick gps-you may have messed up the original one. Or, check if you've over-written any rom files related to quick gps with something that has the same name but a different function.
I try to execute them directly on the windows folder but not successfuly
I install tp2x rom...
i ask to the developer so
thanks
This is the error message in english
"the file QuickGPS" cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
You get that error when you have a bad shortcut or when there are missing (or over-written) modules. If it happened right after the flash, then there's a problem with the rom.
No
after a flash, quickgps is ok.
but after the flash, i made a update of quickgps with a cab found on xda...
i restart, and i execute directly /windows/quickgps.exe
and my phone said the error message
Well, it's pretty obvious that you over-wrotr the stock modules with new ones that don't work. Remove them w/ sk tools or total commander, or just do a hard reset and start over. Why would you want a new quick gps, anyway?
i made that because i have a problem with gps since the start...
