hey guys....how would i go about usin the getName() command to store the name of a file (i dont know the name off) inside a directory(i know the name off).
so like String abc = new File("/adsa/ada/da/").getName();
but tht only stores the last folders name...how can i make it go in there n pickup a file..

I don't know, guess you have to make sure it's named the exact way it should be. I don't know any other reason it wouldnt' work, I have zero problems doing it.
Did you get a warning saying you were goign to overwrite a file? If not then you probably named it wrong. not sure what else..
The proper name for the file is: welcomehead.96.png

It´s my first device with WM
download a free program called TotalCommander (google it)
it allows you to change system files (which cant be done with built in file explorer) and chage registry.
In many forums i have read that you can change the operator name using this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\RIL\OPERATOR NAMES
then you create a create a "String Value" with Name as your operator code and the value is the word that u want to be changed....
But in my case, OPERATOR NAMES do not exists
Can you please take a look at this:

try searching for a program called "Personalizer" its a small cab file that automatically changes your operator name to whatever you type in the text box that pops up when you run it so no need to mess with the registry!
i have used personalizer, but i would rather do it this way, can someone help me please?

1.connect ur phone to pc,open zune then "Windows Phone Device Manager for WP7",w8 for wpdm to connect to ur phone.
2.Press Manage Applications in wpdm
3.Right click on the Game,app u want,click "Open Data Folder"
4.now open "IsolatedStore" folder
5.now u must find the file that have save data called like:save,savegame,achievements,.......xml
for example:fruit ninja:
\Applications\Data\49C69A08-60FE-DF11-9264-00237DE2DB9E\Data\IsolatedStore\FruitNinja\savegame.xml
6.Copy the file Any where u want ,open it with text editors like note pad,u see alot of commands,words here
7.we want to change score so find score word in file:for example fruit ninja:
<save_file CLASSIChighscore="3454335" CASINOhighscore="0" ARCADEhighscore="678655" ZENhighscore="197" highscore="0" critical_chance="75" rated="true" major="1" minor="0" batch="0">
change scores with number u want.
8.save file ,then copy,paste the xml file to original location

# Things u will need r:-
1. Ur name Pic in ".png" format (with no backgroud)
2. Computer or Mob (having es file explorer).
3. Zipsigner app ( available on play store ).
4. Yu moded apk (link - http://d-h.st/LumP) (in my case *TAKE ANY THEME APK )
5. Little Techie MInd & Common sense. tongue emoticon
# Steps -
1. Download Yu Moded Apk (THE THEME APK ) n keep it in specific folder of Internal storage only.
2. Select the apk by holding apk n change its extension only from "yu.apk" to "yu.zip". Ur apk will get converted into zip format..
3. Select the zip now n in options u will get "Extract" option... Extract the apk now...
4. Nearly 4 files will get extracted... (Assets, Meta-inf, Android Manifest.xml, resources.arsc) Make sure all r extracted.. grin emoticon
5. Now rename ur "____.png" to "ic_sysbar_home.png" keep '.png' same... Now come to ur extracted file folder...
6. Now go in this directory- assets>overlays>com.android.systemui>res>drawable-xxhdpi n copy/paste that "urname.png" pic in drawable-xxhdpi folder n click on overwrite button...
7. Go back n now select all the 4 files (Assets, Meta-inf, Android Manifest.xml, resources.arsc). After selecting in options press on compress button.. name it whatever... Set compression level to "STORE"
n the press ok n ur zip will get compressed...
8. Now open the zipsigner app.... Press on "choose in/out" then click on sign the file... U will see the new zip in the same folder named as "___-signed.zip"...
9. Select that signed zip n again Change the extension by renaming it from "___-signed.zip" to "___-signed.apk"
10. Install that apk n apply it from themes...
That's it... now u r ready to rock... Plz read and follow each step correctly before commenting ur problems...
