LF align - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have installed an application which resultet in having all windows fields to be left to right align but once I type a word and press space, its back to normal LF align.
However, my question is, is there anywhere in registry where I can set this? default Text align.

help?
Pls I need help with this if anybody knows a solutions to set default Text alignment in windows mobile?
I need to modify text alignment in Windows Mobile 6.1 which was modified after I installed a cab?
Maybe a another way to find out is opening the cab file and look for any registry modifications?
Any suggestion??

(To update) List of each WM6.1P file/DLL and its use

Hi guys/gals,
I was thinking that it would be handy to make a list of all the DLLs and files that appear in the \Windows directory on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
I suspect that in the near future, as Chandra suggests, we will not be able to update our phones any further, due to size restrictions caused by small RAM/ROM space.
I would like to make the list so we can determine what we can safely remove in the future to gain a bit of extra space.
Is it even possible to remove DLLs or only overwrite them?
Please leave your thoughts here, and if you know a program or DLL and its use, post it and I will add it to this first post.
Cheers!

Autocorrect.0409.txt
This seems to be a text document that will auto-replace words when you incorrectly spell them in an SMS, Email, Excel or Word Document. For example, it would change "Youre" to You're" as soon as pressed the space bar after the word.
AutoTimeUpdate.exe
I would suspect that this would automatically update the time. I am not sure what program calls it, but possibly ActiveSync.

This loads the Backlight application which is also found in settings.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\RingDirectory = Storage Card\music
How
I am new to this community and just got my first WM phone a couple of days a go, TOPAZ..
How do I use regedit to alternate like shown above???
You can try PHM regedit. It's same like desktop pc regedit.
you can also try the "pocket version" of TotalCommander, there a biult-in Plugin for the registry
Problemo
Hey
Couldn't get it to work, and couldn't actually find the exact HKEY either from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Rin gDirectory = Storage Card\music.
For me it was identical up till \SoundCategories, but no RingDirectory key. It looked something like HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory
Modifying the Ring\Directory into "Storage Card\music" didn't help either, any ideas what could be the problem?
Also cannot get this to work. Have changed the setting from original \windows\ to Storage Card\music. Can anyone advise on the exact think to type in the space. Even tried adding the \ in front but same results
I tried it as well and didn't work. The strange thing is that I also used SKTools and found this as a configurable setting and it did nothing as well, seems that it was changing the same registry value.

Settings folder no icons after attempting Liberate - HELP!!

Hi all,
I was attempting to Liberate my HTC Shift (X9500, German language) before trying out some of the ROMs here, and disaster has struck! I'm fairly experienced but I cannot see how to fix my problem. Please help if you can, otherwise my Shift has to go back to HTC for "repair".
The problem is that when I open "Settings" the resulting window is an absolutely empty white window. Not a single icon is displayed, only the time and network icons at the top.
The liberate process describes cutting (Cntrl-X) the folder windows\settings, pasting it elsewhere, adding some more files and finally moving the modified folder back under windows. I think what happened is that when doing this, I fumbled my fingers and deleted the entire folder. My fault entirely, but how to recover? I tried both a cold reset from Vista and also a Fn/F3 restore of the whole system from the recovery partition. Both the WM and Vista sides still work, but still no "settings".
I thought of just recreating the \settings folder in \windows but have no way to do this (no Explorer or ActiveSync), and apart from the Liberate files have no idea what other files should be present in that folder. Any ideas in this direction would be greatly appreciated.
I've played around with other WM phones and I'm guessing the way forward is to reflash the standard HTC ROM, but how to do this? Is there a secret key combination? Can the ROM update from a memory card? And I guess it's easier to find the English ROM than German and I'd prefer English, but are there any issues with changing languages (I'm aware of the reg hack to change keyboard language)!
Pleeeze HELP if you can!!
Richard

I suspect that you are more experienced than I, but maybe I have an idea that might help:
Could you copy the contents of another Shift's WM windows/setting directory into an email, and email this to your shift WM side, and then paste it into your Shift's WM /windows directory?
When I sent my Shift back to HTC Support for a replacement screen under warrenty, they reflashed the original stock WM SnapVue. I guess only HTC have this facility.
Thanks for that Flanimal, I thought of trying that as well but could not figure out how to email a "folder", rather than individual files. Unlike in "real" Windows, there also seems to be no way to create a new folder when doing "save as".
But just as your email arrived, I figured out how to get past my problem (read the manual!)
I simply ran Shift Control Center from the Vista side. There's an option to reset the SnapVue side - it requires you to enter 1234 and answer that you're really sure. Doing this wipes all the SnapVue settings back to default - apparently like a hard reset, and afterwards the settings icons reappear.
I'm posting this in case anyone eles makes the same mistake I did! It also gives me the confidence to once again try liberating my Shift.
Thanks again,
Richard
