Hello. First of all i'd like to say that i was searching for a solution and no answer here...
After playing with my diamond i noticed that applications are closing itself. For example i am listening to music (with pocket player or windows player) and i let it running in background then i lunch another program (photo album or another) and music suddenly stop. Music players and other programs now are closed. No running apps.
Its very annoying.
I've changed ROMS, hard-spl. Nothing helps.
Maybe its becouse of some apps that i still instal? Do u think i should send it on warranty?
Please help
I'm experiencing the same. Does anybody has found something about that?
Sometimes I thought it has to do something with secondtoday (please don't flame me, it's only a feeling).
Looking forward to your comments and suggestions.
Actual Rom: "RUUDiamondHTCGER1.93.407.1RadioSignedDiamond52.29.25.121.00.25.05Ship.exe"
flashed after doing :"diamond-hspl-1.34"
regards,
Daniel
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
Windows Mobile closes background applications automatically when it's running out of RAM. Try to keep your RAM as free as possible by setting the OK button to close instead of minimize and close everything that you won't be soon using.

Never heard of this "feature" . I also don't remember that i've seen this on my mda compact 3 running on windows mobile 6.1 also. Do you know any way to avoid this automatic closing.
hi guys was just wondering if there is a way to change how apps there are running on startup, because i noticed that whenever i turn my phone on it takes a while for everything to fullly load. i checked my task killer app only to find all of my apps were running which is why i think it takes a while to load after being turned on. i think i saw a thread on here a while ago but i can seem to find it. thanks in advance.
bump someone must be able to give me an answer...even if its to say that it isnt possible.
You can use TaskPanel, which is free on the market, works sort of like task killer but better, you can add programs to an autokill list and it stops them from running services until you want them too. I use it for my craigslist app cause I never set alerts on it but it's always running in the background which I don't need.
ok thanks will try that now
Hi
I'm running cyanogen 4.2.4 and its AWESOME. But I've found a problem which I'm hoping someone on xda can help fix. Everytime I'm running an app (browser, messsaging, etc) and either I lock my phone, when I unlock it the app I was running is automatically ended. This has now got a bit annoying as my phone is set to timeout after 30 seconds and if I'm @ work and I'm halfway through texting someone but I have to get back to work I find my phones locked and the message disappears
Thank You in advance
Ps - I'm running stock 2.0 theme
regarding apps closing on their own
The first thought that comes to mind is... Are you running a theme? Are you using a task manager type app? If so are the apps you're seeing end on their own in your exclude list? Most task manager apps have a settable time to stop all running apps to free up ram and save battery. I've tested your issue and I can't seem to duplicate it. So I'm leaning on the idea you have a task manager app turning them off for you. If there is an app you don't want to close, then put it in the "exclude list" and you should be fine
and if that doesnt work you can always wipe and reflash
Help guys, since i use stocklite 7.1 that when I open certain apps like mms.apk or the Phone apk to call someone they just go back screen and simply close. Thats extremly annoying since i run a company and when i'm wiriting big sms it simply closes and the text isn't even saved on drafts.
Recently i also installed Viber, and it also happens there. What can be wrong?

Anyone knows? I searched a bit and some said ATK (Advance Task Killer) may cause this. Strange since i always press Menu-> Exit ...
Also i have a moded mms.apk to dont have limit in SMS, but i don't think is either of them thats causing this... or Tasker... When I had it before SotckLite 7.1 it worked fine...
Try reflashing the rom.

Whenever I use this app **** it doesn't work properly, here is some bugs:
The widget is ****ed up! You click on the bottom and it says it closes 6 apps, the turn out: it doesnt close any ****. My apps keep running, and on settings I configure it to close way more apps than 6. but doesnt work..
Properly configured I go to optimize to close 42 apps. Ok, I know some of them are from android and android properly blocks that even though Im rooted and I grant the permission.
But some apps don't even close.. like facebook, cleaner...
Do that on your own. Close the apps with the Battery doctor app then go check apps that's running, and they will be there!
What is happening ?

Test DU Battery Saver is best
keeps running...
Also, DU doesnt have the lowering CPU usage function --'
I personally use Greenify (non-root) with Automated hibernation enabled. Works fine for me and keeps those apps that sick the battery hibernated. I've not used Battery Doctor, and possibly won't since it sounds like some of the malware I remove off client unit's at work.
Battery "saver" apps usually end up doing the opposite... Wasting.
Except Greenify, when used properly. ?
Just my 2 cents.
Also, no need for the language... This is an all ages site remember. ?
