Make HTC Home Weather update when in background?

I have the option checked to update weather automatically, but whenever I press the weather icon it says attempting to download weather data or something like that and I have to wait on it to see the forecast.
Is there a way to keep it always updated like on a certain interval so it will already be there when I click the icon to look at it?
I usually look at the weather around 3 times per day so each time i look the 2 hour window has expired and must download again.

No, it does not function in that manner. And no one has posted a way to do this.

It should be a reg fix somehow.. to make this possible

Afternoon everyone
I have installed a couple of themes on my new Kaiser phone and for some reason the clock does not appear central on any of them, it is offset to the right hand side. Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how I can fix this.

I have the latest version of M2DC, and your link is the one I followed in the beginning, great work by the way, I followed the link and got to the themes by twolf and KidnamedAlbert etc which is where I downloaded the themes from.
I installed a couple of the themes and as I said in my OP the clock does not want to sit central on any of them. The actual numbers are ok but the clock background is offset to the right. Is there a setting I need to activate or is there something I am missing?

looking for a different bookmark widget

Hey folks...
I just got a hero (sprint) a couple days ago, and I'm already running out of space on my home screens... I really like the bookmark widget, but it just takes up too much space... Anyone ever seen one that's just a single row of icons tall that scrolls left/right? I've gotta believe it exists, or wouldn't be too tough to create.
Any input?

That's a workable solution, but I'd much rather have a widget.
Thanks for the pointer though... If I totally run out of space, I'll go that route..

Or you can use "bettercut" app in the market and make your own bookmark shortcuts. Plus you can choose your own icon, by downloading the image or use an icon pack they provide.

Mate this is hero development, your question should be in Hero themes and apps .... Moderators you attention please.

Beautiful Widgets Download problem

Anyone else having problems downloading skins for Beautiful Widgets?
Don't know if it's a rom problem but for the last couple of weeks with different roms i can't D/L anything
Which is a bit of a pain as the default skin doesn't do much for me
I have managed to find a couple of skins online but if anyone would be kind enough to look in /sdcard/data/beatifulwidgets/skins and upload some here that would be much appreciated
I think "Destroy" was the one i was using before
Haha typical 30 mins later and a updated version and it's working fine

same here.... i just keep looking at the "Loading Skins List..." and ive tried many times... at many different hours of the day but its always the same... just loading with no actual results
So, I downloaded a skins pack (googled-it), and turns out that after I place them in the proper folder and run BW skin selection, it gives an error that the skin is corrupted.... wtf????

If anyone's having this problem, you should go back to the old market. The B.W. version for the HTC Hero doesn't like a market app which isn't meant for that phone. Go back to the previous market and it'll work fine

install the getjar app
use the app to download BW for free (and many other paid apps too... no piracy)
now you'll be able to download skins for super clock, weather etc

Uninstall BW,delete the folder with file manager.reinstall BW and everything ok

[Q] Advanced Facebook Editing

Ive been trying to change the color of the background on the home screen of facebook but if i change it in colors.xml it wont compile and if change it anywhere else it compiles and installs but the app force closes ive searched all around on the topic and have found nothing i know its possible there are themed facebooks with it change could someone please help me out...

Well best bet man look for others on here who have moded facebook theres about 5 or 6 people that I'm aware of that are big on modding the facebook.apk and there is a huge thread about it they update all the time so... Get in touch with one of them and maybe they can help you around your specific problem... Ask them how they got it to work best bet send them a pm...preferably someone on alot.

Wished someone would come up with a quik fix. Sometimes the old eyes have a hard time reading with the white background..
