Registry dump request - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have found a collection of nice Topaz system sounds, and I would like to assign them alltogether on my Touch Elfin. Can anybody please send me a dump of the following registry folders:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Snd
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds
Thanks in advance!

Need Button values in Registry - guide to come!

Hello everyone
I have installed one of the Touch Roms and currenty trying to fix the registry entries so that all Icons in Settings/Buttons will show up properly. The functions are working fine (Messanging, VoiceCmd, etc), but some buttons don't have icons and are not named properly. I found the area in the registry where the corrections are done, but I can't seem to figure out what the proper values are. Can anyone with stock ROM lock in the path below and tell me what the values are? I will create a small guide for everyone's benefit!
What I am looking for is all Reg values for all 7 or whatever number of buttons you have programed (40C1, 40C2, etc and values inside like Default, Icon, Name, etc). Feel free to ask questions and I will tell you exactly what I need. Thanks.
Registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Keys
I seen that no one as the stock rom on there wing and is unable to provide the keys so I went ahead and installed it back and exported the keys you needed ........................................ looking forward to the solution for the button issues

Transfomer Sliding Sounds

In case anyone wanted to replace their Kaiser/Tilt sliding sounds with Transformers transformation sounds, I've included the wave files in a ZIP. I don't know how to package them up for mass consumption, so you'll need to do some RegEditing:
Extract the two .wav files from trans_slide.zip and place them in \Windows
Open your favorite mobile registry editor and drill down to HKLM\Software\HTC\SlidingSound
Create a new key with the next available number. I believe the default is 3 (0, 1 and 2). So add a key called 3
For the "(Default)" value enter in "Transformers"
Under the new key add a REG_SZ called "in" (without quotes).
For the value of "in", enter in transform-dn.wav
Create another REG_SZ called "out"
For the value of "out", enter in transform-up.wav
Exit the registry editor
Go to the Sliding Sounds configuration and now you should see Transformers listed as an available sound.
Alternately, you can go to the SlidingSound (the parent of 0, 1, 2, and 3) key and change the REG_DWORD value of ActiveSlidingSound to 3.
You can use the instructions to make your own sounds, but it appears that they must be .wav files. I tried .mp3s and it did not work)
The sounds are ok (a bit loud actually). I found them on the net. If you find better ones, I encourage you to use them. Or you can use Audacity to modify the sound to your liking, which I may do when I get too annoyed by the volume.

Very Cool
This is a very cool change with great instructions. Thanks for the post.
will this work on TTyn hermes ??
Alternative sound files
I guess I wasn't the only one who had this idea...
Here's the Transformers sound files I've been using on my Tilt for a while.
I spent a bit of work on these files so they sound nice and clean, they're a little bit shorter, and both files are from the same original sample, so they match perfectly. I think it works quite nicely.
Note that I named these 3_in.wav and 3_out.wav so they match the original naming scheme. Just follow the above instructions, but change the values of the reg keys or rename the files accordingly.
Sweet. Ill try this out
Here's a cab file to do the install automagically for you. I used the sounds from Diznario.
NOTE: This will replace the entries for RegEntry 3 if you already have a 4th sliding sound setup. This also makes RegEntry 3 the Active one. So just install the cab, and then slide open, slide closed, and enjoy...
Thanks BigBHaller for the precise steps (made creating this CAB easy), and thanks Diznario for the sound files.
my verision of the Transformers:
Here is my verision of the Transformers:

Oh sweet! Now I don't have to keep changing it manually when I update to Dutty's latest! Thanks!
Thanks mfrazzz for building a cab file for this!
You just made upgrading to a new rom that much easier.
Dude!!!!!
that is soooooooo cool....thankyou......it is a little loud but it sure is cool......happy new year....

very cool. big transformers fan here. was planning on doing somethign like this!
(http://www.autobotstransform.com, should be ready soon, I hope, if I stop being so lazy!)
If I go into Start/Settings/Personal/Sounds&Notifications and look in the event list, I cannot find anything that has to do with sliding sounds or keyboard in/out. I have a 8525 i just got last week and updated to WM6. Is this option not available on the 8525. I have searched everywhere trying to find out how to enable this feature but I am unable to find anything.
Thanks for any help

First set of TF3D icons

I finally completed my first set of icons. Unfortunatly, I can not create a cab for it that works correctly. Each time I try, the app crashes, and the cab file results in a different size each time.
Can anyone create a cab file for me, and test this out? Thanks.
View attachment Icons2.zip
winrar won't extract the files, there appears to be something wrong with them.
ahh, I see they were created with manila editor, just save all the manila files and use another compression app to make the cabthat should fix ya...
I was able to extract it
can we see images? Or screen shots?
no pictures?

Here you go, plus some screenshots for everyone. Looking good, can you add icons for the other tabs? call history, communications, profile/sounds, and calendar?
Great job on the icons...
Thanks so much for sharing!...now, just need to find a good "call history" icon.
very nice, installed the icons by deactivating tf3d and overwriting the existing ones.., a littele bit unfuctionally is the similarity of the icons for email and sms, but everything else..
Thx
Boris

Appearantly, I thought I created one for the call history.
I'm not sure which manila files are for communications, profile/sounds, and calendar. But I can try if you know them. And thanks for the screen shots.

I wonder if that's why when I installed them, they didn't function correctly, for I didn't disable TF3D at first. I think I need to change the email & sms, for I realize I had them backwards after I finished them. This is my 1st set, so hey...I tried. Not too bad though, right?

What app for example? I used the Quickcab app, but it crashes everytime I hit the create button.
I usually just save all the manila files and then cab them up with wince cab manager.
help with tf3d icons
im new to this manila editing thing..haha, so if anyone could help me out with this would be greatly appreciated!! i attached the icons i'd like to either be cab'd up or zipped for my touch pro? im running a 14 tab theme....
thanks a million

Made First ROM - Can anyone help

I finally put together my first ROM thanks to this extremely helpful site. Actually, it was just choosing, swapping, deleting files and packages, but I'm still proud of myself. Everything works great, TF3D is smooth and quick, SMS works and the phone functions are fine.
But I have one really annoying problem. In the WM 6.1 settings menu, my icons and font are sort of screwed up (too large) and the tabs are not right. I have tried adjusting the icons and fonts with Diamond Tweak and Advanced Config Tool, but was unable to totally resolve the problem. Here is a screenshot. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? How can I fix it? Do I need to re-cook and change some things in the kitchen, or can I solve it some other way? I would prefer not to re-flash and reinstall.
Thanks a bundle.
As you can see, I also ended up with 2 "phone" icons, one that leads to the WM properties and one that leads to the TF3D phone setting.
I am not familiar with the WM6.1 registry but I bet this has been mentioned and solved before
search for phone & control panel in this subforum and you'll find it
also, look at the sticky threads: jerpelea's kitchen and chefs develop and share centre
I am sure I saw it somewhere, but I cook over WM6.5 so I didn't pay attention to it...
my first thought would be: go to /windows/ start menu/ settings and check there maybe
The font size and icons spacing can be adjusted within the registry
You can use a registry editor from your PC to do it
I can't point you to the exact location of those registries but hope this helps
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Phone
change "group" to "Hide" =1 valve
if you cooked yourself
go and edit
goto SYS folder
goto sub-folder Shell
edit file with rgu extension (only one)
search for
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Phone]
"Group"=dword:1
just change "Group"=dword:1 to "Hide"=dword:1
Thanks so much guys. I recooked and fixed the problems with your help.

Change "Notes" Application on dialer

Hi to you all. I wonder if anyone could help me, as i can´t find any help on older threads. On dialer there´s a button "Note". During call, if clicked, take us to, i guess, standard WM Notes application. How can i change this shortcut to Screenwriter or Apmemo?
Thanks,
C´mon guys this is not a hard one I suppose. Or is? Regards.

lol or look through reg @ phone settings mind you i think it's hardcoded "but could be wrong"
New htc song plays in background while placed on hold
You both are not helping at all. I read somewhere that the spirit/goal of this forum is not that kind of behavior.
I don´t need standard notes at all. I think that if i can find the executable and the parameters of the link on the button, i can replace it with a shortcut or even a mortscript.
Anyway thanks for your reply as now i know you both can´t help.
Regards.
Um so the look through the reg for phone doesn't help?
It's not going to be a .lnk and as previously stated the button will most probably be hardcoded.
Looking throu reg finds nothing also i doubt another software would follow the default format of note.
So my hunch says no you cant.
I can´t find a clue on registry. Thanks Stylez.
