Because screens showing what WM7 have been leaked and people are already creating homescreens and such to look like it. You dont need it to be released yet to make skins that look like it. Details of WM7 have been about for ages

tbh I dont see wm 7 being out (even in beta) any time soon. Microsoft haven't even finished 6.5 yet!!
All the images that are on google are (imo) design images created to show what it 'might' look like.
I'd love to be wrong as some of the images I've seen look freak'in sweet

For me to tell you it's "great this" and "fantastic that" does not prove anything as the next person may say it is terrible and 6.1 is best blah blah blah. So how does that help you to decide?

I want to say only one thing - I agree with ClydeB1, YOU HAVE TO TRY. Yes, WM 6.5 with Sence 2.5 seems to be slower than WM6.1, HOWEVER it gives you many new and nice features etc...

It's not even possible. You'd have to recompile the WP7 kernel to even run on Qualcomm 72XX CPUs. To do this you'd need access to the source code, which Microsoft probably guards very very heavily.

I'm sure we all are mighty upset with the creators of Windows 7 Phone.
After loving windows mobile for some years the new variant of the software for my beloved PDA manufacturer just doesn’t cut the mustard.
To all the developers out there is there a way of using this fantastic piece of hardware with an alternative OS, Android or WM6.5.
I have to say I’m so glad this phone comes with the job, as I won’t be sorry to see it go.
Buy an HD2, you'll have an HD7 with windows 6.5
I'm glad mine comes with WP7 though
be patient. give the devs some time. your favorite software will come to wp7 soon.
