How can i copy all contacts from storage card to my device?
I trying copy but i dont now where can i paste them.
are you talking to the pim.vol file that your trying to move??
if you are talking about pim.vol just copy it to the root of your device and over-write your existing pim.vol
Also you might want to check out PIMBackup, search of it, its a great backup software (backs up contacts, calendar, notes, messages, tasks, etc)
I have copy from my nokia e75 on storage card.
I can select all of them and what next ??

I did a backup of my PDA using XBackup. I assume that the data was placed on my storage card. I then loaded the updated ROM. Now, I went back to XBackup and cannot restore my old programs and contacts...it does not find any backup file on the storage card (or anywhere). I also browsed the storage card with the file explorer and found my photos and music, but not backup file that I could see. Am I truly out of luck on restoring all my contacts and programs? Can anyone suggest a saving operation?
Expert,
I had tried to find the location using Regedit in my windows mobile, Yet i failed to get and change the file location for "window mobile outlook PST".
Is there any apps or do anyone konw where is the location if i want to change all email stored to EXternal Storage instead of the internal storage ?
It's not a pst file which you can move. You can make sure your email and attachments will be placed onto your internal storage. All your contacts are stored onto local phone storage in the file pim.vol in the root of your device.
thanks for the reply.
then how can i move all my email into external drive ? instead of eat up my internal storage ?
change hte registry ? mind to share in which location ? HKLM ? or ?
On my memory card I've got some single letter character files that wont copy off the memory card and I don't think I can delete them either. I kinda thought that maybe they were part of some pim backup but that doesn't explain why I can't copy them to my desktop if the backup files will. I wanna reformat my card but I don't wanna lose anything that I might need later.
I'm using WM65 nowe. When I use card reader to copy some files or folders from my computer into my SD card, the names look just right on my computer.
BUT when I put SD into my mobile phone and browse them, the names of some files/folders (not all of them) become capital.
I've tried XP and Win7, still the same.
e.g.: I copy two folders named conf and media - into my SD card, but they become CONF and MEDIA in my mobile.
How could this happen? Somebody can help me with this?
Still nobody replys??
What a tricky problem~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is there a way to have PIMBackup backup its own configuration in its backup? I have a scheduled backup and it would be nice to be able to have it back up the schedule config when it backs up everything else.
Get dotfred's task manager and use it to back up the registry entries for pimbackup onto your sd card. This is a mortscript that will do it automatically (provided you have the right folders on your sd card, and the name and location of the TM is correct):
run("\windows\df_taskmgr.exe","/regxpkey \Storage Card\My Backups\Mort\Registry\FdcSoft.reg [HKEY_Current_User\Software\FdcSoft\]")
