Here is a question for the most advanced of you on wm6 tweak; take it as a challenge ;-)
I like the screen lock tweak, but I would like to be able to have the volume buttons unlocked, since quite often I listen to music and I want to adjust volume in connection to how noise the place is. As it is right now, I have to unlock the phone every time before pressing the volume buttons up or down.
Do you have any ideas on how to play with the registry in order to achieve this?
also interested in this one ... any ideas?
My topaz has exactly what you want by default, somehow... i was actually hoping for the opposite, though...
when my topaz is locked, the only buttons that aren't locked are the volume buttons, and it's actually really annoying, since when my device is locked, i expect it to be LOCKED.
anyone know how to disable this?

When I press pause/play on my headset the device wake's up and I'm able to press all sorts of things on the screen I don't want
does anybody know how to fix this (without installing a screenlock app)?
I don't know what you mean by installing (installing another program or using any lock?) but the inbuilt windows lock seems to protect from such situations. Just tested it with my bt headphones and seems they can wake up, but can;t unlock my diamond.
I had touchlockpro installed before I upgraded to ROM 2.03, because I would accidentally press on buttuns when listening to music and miss calls/ aswer calls in my pocket... so I installed touchlockpro to block everything on wake up...
but now one of the two problems is solved by the ROM upgrade (slide to answer).
So only one (but annoying) problem remains.
I don't want to unlock my phone everytime I take it out of my pocket, especially as this seems to be something that is easily fixed by a registry edit (don't wake up on button press) or something.
so that's the problem, and I can't find a solution
any help would be greatly appreciated
Yes, I constantly accidentally hit the volume buttons. Is there an app that can lock them, so they only work after I enable them in the app?
Really? My favorite thing about the phone is that the volume buttons work when the phone sleeps. That drives me insane about every other phone/mp3 player I've used.... having to dig the phone out of my pocket and wake it up just to adjust the volume.
How are you accidentally hitting the volume buttons? Just curious.
One thing I've been wanting to request is a way to make a long-press of the volume buttons be forward/back a track. That'd rule.

When I go from portrait to landscape, by the time I'm done, I see the volume change window on the screen. I don't even know if I hit the + or the -.
Is there a way to fix the in-line buttons of the headphones you get with the Diamond2 to not start calling people?
They are very sensitive, and I had some unwanted calls to people while listening to some music...
I can't find anywhere to configure this (WinMo settings "buttons" and "input" screens have nothing). IS there a way to disable those buttons or, better yet, make them useful for things like volume control?
same problem here, everytime i go by bike i call someone hitting the button somehow.
I mange to call people accidentily while walking down the street,
It needs to be able to lock itself while playing music or you need to press a particular button to lock-unlock.
I have a Noreve flip case coming soon maybe this will help to stop this problem.

if its not the headphones causing your problem you can simply turn your defice off while playing musik. it will keep on playing.
but the buttons in the cord don't "lock" if you switch it off
which basically is my problem

TouchLockPro locks all buttons, including the in-line buttons of the head-phones.
This solution worked fine for me and my Touch Diamond 2.

Hi, I am not sure if this is possible but better to ask anyway.
Sometimes I like to have a radio app playing and I need to MUTE it, but the screen is off and locked and I don't want to fumble with the S4 Active's sticky volume button (is yours 'sticky'? my volume rocker loves to zoom up and down with a slight push),
just mute/unmute without hitting menu/enter code/swipe or some other combination of keys.
I thought maybe it could be done through that "headphone jack button" accessory but that is not really what I am looking for.
Something akin to the gesture of flipping the phone face down to stop the ringing. or swiping your hand over the screen to mute/pause, but that only works on certain apps and when the screen is on. I want a function like this with the screen OFF.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried Tasker? Are you familiar with it at all? If you want, I could try to create something for you. What is the app so I can test to see if it works?

I am answering my own question with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2492565
Doesn't work with everything but it is a great start!
Thanks :good:
Well this is usually not a problem but I had the slim armor case on and the buttons are very sensitive. Wouldnt be the end of the world except even with the screen off this phone changes ringer volume if the vol buttons are pressed. Anyone else think this is goofy and it should only change media volume with the screen off?

It shouldn't do that unless you have Use Volume Keys to Wake on. Is the screen being turned on too?

No screen stays off. I posted in the zen kernel thread to make sure it wasn't the kernel (new version just released today), someone said that is stock ROM behavior. Can someone with a stock ROM double check?

I'm running stock 5.1 LMY47D and the ringer volume does change when the volume buttons are pressed while the screen off. However, the volume buttons do nothing when the screen is off and the phone is locked.
I too have this issue and I cannot seem to get rid of it no matter what I do. It only happens when using the "none" lockscreen.
Grab volume locker from the play store. The only back draw is that it doesnt work if connected to BT
