instead of writing how people should not help you, you should have taken the time to google. this would have been better.
also you should specify what softkeys you are talking about:
today screen or manila.
anyway, here they are:
today screen:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113
manila:
HKLM\Software\HTC\manila\HomeLSKPath
HKLM\Software\HTC\manila\HomeRSKPath

Remap soft keys?

Hi, does anyone know how to remap soft keys on home screen? Default is Phone and Programs, I want to change one of them to run phoneweaver menu. Any idea how to do that?
Regards,

use an regeditor or TC and go to registry,
then goto HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila
there you find this
HomeLSKArguments
HomeLSKPath -> Left Home Key
HomeLSkText
HomeRSKArguments
HomeRSKPath -> Right Home key
HomeRSKText
Path = Program to run
Text= Label on Home Screen

It works. Thanks for that

Hi
Can anybody post the path for displaying contacts? I have a german diamond and I tried following, which does not work: \Windows\poutlook.exe
Which path does work?
Hello Lambert,
HKCU>Software>Micosoft>Today>Keys>112 for the left key
HKCU>Software>Micosoft>Today>Keys>113 for th right key
If the 113 does'nt exist, you can create it.
Beware when you modifies the registry, you do it at your own risk.
Make a backup before each modification.
You can try also "Remap Softkeys", is a freeware that will make it for you.
Put this soft where you want, "My documents" for exemple and execute it.

Ok, you can use and configure S2U2 to lock your device when you press the start button or if you put the device face down with GSen.
This app (S2U2) can give you more services that you need, but don't use the S2U2 CallerID cause it could be in conflict with the HTC CallerID.
Search for S2U2 Thread on xda-dev and GSen in this forum.

Hi,
I am trying to remap the right softkey to open the programs part of the start menu. for some reason, whatever I try, I can not get it to map to here. It tends to either error and say that it is digitally unsigned, or it opens explorer, not in the programs folder. Bit odd really. Any suggestions?
Hi, I need to map a WiFi ON/OFF toggle on the Manila Right Soft key on homescreen, cause its taking to much time going to conn.mgr. every time... is it posible ?
thx for any advice
Well I think lots of us were searching for a "videocall" fix...
In the new rom 1.93.707.1, "contacts" soft key was replaced with "video call".
Can this be fixed via registry change and revert the softkey from "videocall" to "contacts"?
How do i set the right key back to what it was?

Here is the way to change the homekeys IN TFLO 3D.
In a registry editor, go to:
HKLM/Software/HTC/manila/
Here is:
HomeLSKPath, which is the left softkey (Standard = Phonepad)
And
HomeRSKPath, which is the right softkey.
If you change these with the location of the programs you want to link to, and simultaneous change the names:
HomeLSKText = Left softkey text
And
HomeRSKText = Right softkey text.
hope it help
I try this, thanks
I had a look at these keys. But what i don't understand is that there's different tabs, and so different softkeys for each one, and only one value in the registry. So if I manually enter the adress and the name, not sure it will work, or if it does, i'll certainly have the same hotkey everywhere... but i only want to replace the left softkey in the contact tab...

The PocketCM FAQ...
How to add this application as the default contact manager?
Easiest way: download and install the CAB version of PocketCM.
You can also do it by hand:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS
Change "String 1" value from :MSPOUTLOOK contacts to "\Program Files\PocketCM\PocketCM.exe".
Make sure that you add the "" on the new entry.
Also...
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSPOUTLOOK
Change "String 1" value from "poutlook.exe" to "\Program Files\PocketCM\PocketCM.exe".
without the "" on the entry.
then reset or re-start your Diamond

Remap soft keys in TF3D?

IS there a small piece of software to remap the softkeys on the home screen in TF3D? There are several useful functions that could be placed on the home screen other than the default Phone/Programs. I've tried using the Remap Softkeys for WM5 but obviously that doesn't work with TF3D, and I don't want to disable Touchflow just to get altered keys.

I only want to change the home page so don't need anything fancy. Been updating the registry settings (HomeLSKText, HomeLSKpath, HomeLSKArguments) and can't get it to actually do anything (the text changes). What I want todo is to jump to the Contacts HTC page (really anything other than the Camera - why TMO did you make it Camera?). Any help would be great. Thanks.

[TUT] How to open a manila tab with shortcut

Hi,
you can open a tab with this:
\windows\manila.exe --switchtopage home.page
Instead of "home.page" you can use:
messaging.page
weather.page
people.page
email.page
album.page
music.page
internet.page
settings.page
programs.page
You can also use the shortcut for:
Manila softkeys:

Hi,
This is almost what I was looking for.
I would like to have a similar solution to add a shortcut to a subpage of Manila tab.
Something like
HomeLSKArguments: "--switchtopage settings.page.sound"
Well, the above does not work.
I would like to add a shortcut on home screen to the "sound" subpage in the Settings tab, so I can quickly switch profiles: normal, silent, vibrate.
Is this at all possible?
Thanks.
btw: I'm sorry! I figured it out a few weeks ago, but forgot to tell you this

I have a little question about pages in manila...
I was thinking that the 'Action screen' in the HTC Raphael might be somewhere in the manila files.. cus the icons are there..??
Just a wild thought
You haven't accidently stumbled upon this??
Oh, this would be very, very cool
This may be perfect for remapping TF3D homescreen softkeys.
How about creating standalone shortcuts? It doesn't work. Anyone tried?
anyone?.............
I have a dutch ROM (1.93) and for me this doesn't do anything.
If I do this:
HomeLSKPath: "\windows\manila.exe"
HomeLSKText: "Music"
HomeLSKArguments: "--switchtopage music.page"
And then click on that button, it doesn't do anything.
Anyone knows maybe for ROMS in other languages than english that the command might be different ?
Can some of this be used to add new tabs to Manila?

Or to change the name and functionality of a given tab?
I tried several Manila ROMS (NATF v3 and v4, Hyperdragon III) but couldn't get used to not being able to customize the screens as I like (say like using SPB Shell and customizing the contents of any given tab).
Further, I have several apps that use a Today plugin (eg Newsbreak, PocketWeather), and I'd like to find a way to incorporate these into the Home page, or to create a Today Plugins tab, or just create a separate tab for each.
The weather tab, for example, is not practical for me, as I live in one city, work in another city, and constantly follow the weather in cities where I (or my wife) are about to travel. So having a single city weather page is of no use to me, and this is why I need to have the PocketWeather tab available.
I'd appreciate any ideas.
Thank you.
Any way to make a shortcut to a tab that will also bring up that tab on the screen? I made a shortcut to the Programs tab that I assigned to a button, but if I press the button while not in Manila it goes to the Programs tab in the background, without actually showing the tab.
Thanks!

"Old" startmenu.

I recently bought TD2, and is by no means a big fan of the new startmenu. How is it possible to replace it with the "old" one ?
I've been searching the forum, since I've heard of a little program that can fix this issue, but without luck .
Thanks in advance !
The new start menu comes as part of Touch Flo 3D.....If you distable TF3D in settings\personal\today\items, you get the old menu system.
I'm amazed that anyone would prefer the old WM one.

There are two great lacks in the new menu :
1. too few items available in the 'icons' start page, and no kind of sub-folders or program groups.
then
2. if you go in the full list because your program is not in the icons page, the list can be long and fastidious.
Hope it will be corrected in next version and be available for D2, or windows 6.5 titanium/CHome will replace TF3D
Try TF3D2 Tweak in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502102
Thank you all, for your replies .
If you just want to change the start menu but leave Manila turned on, just change the following in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\Enable ManilaStartMenu =dword:00000000
After a restart you have the old start menu
Is it possiple too keep both ways?
I mean when you press the start menu on the top of the screen to have the old start menu and when you press the windows hard key to have the new one?
I think this would be more usefull for many people who like the new menu but want some features of the old one!

Ah right, I see. I've not hit that issue, I guess I just don't use that many programs!
One question: how can I enable the old style like in WM 6.1.
I use 6.5 without Manilla (UDK R1.)
It's annoying to select start/settings/connections if you want to set more the 1 thing...bluetooth, WIFI etc....also for programs.
Or how can I customize the start menu in 6.5 ...order, content...
another way
This would keep the new start menu when you tap on "start" and make pop-up a replica similar whith the old one when you tap on windows or whatever icon you have on the upper left corner of the screen near the text "start". I didn't make this just downloaded from somewhere.

Doesn't seem to work on my Diamond2. (Does nothing)
I was wondering if someone could do a buttom like the settings buttom in the new start menu that could open the old programs menu.
I think this shouldn't be so difficult, since there is a similar buttom for the settings.
Welcome here Liviu. (Bine ai venit pe aici, marfa site-u pt HTC-uri)
I try it Quick Menu, it's like Windows PC START menu and it's hard to use with a finger
I speak about the old menu from WM6.1 not Pc windows...
Ksara it's works on TD2 I try it and work well but it's not what I want.
You are right Pauln, it's not finger friendly but hei! that stylus is there so ...
Anyway for me it does the job so here is a pic for those who want an alternative. The icon "Quick menu" you will find also in Programs.

I'm one of them. I disabled touchflo and installed spb pocket plus: I've got everything in sight, with no need to flip over strange desktops and icons!
I found these registry entries somewhere else and i thing these are the key to make a shortcut in manila programs folder to the old Programs folder Just like there is for the settings folder (number 3)
"Remove the locked program tab items
Code:
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/ProgramLauncher/0/IsReadOnly
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/ProgramLauncher/1/IsReadOnly
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/ProgramLauncher/2/IsReadOnly
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/ProgramLauncher/3/IsReadOnly
Change this value from 1 to a 0 and you can then edit their shortcuts."
Please someone who is familiar with this , create a shortcut.
