How to list installed fonts? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Hello, is there a place in the registry or anywhere to see all installed fonts in windows mobile 6.5? The idea is to be able to get this list and use it in mortscript. The only way I have found is to open an application (word) and change the font and see the dropdown menu. I have gotten mortscript to generate a list of TTF files in \windows\fonts with no trouble but I need to know the internal names of the fonts? I found nuefontpreview for getting the internal name which should be fine. I have searched through the registry and found no such list. Thanks

Settings>Menus -- where is it getting list of programs?

Can anyone tell a newbie where the Menu list is coming from under Settings>Menus (personal)?
I would like to add the 10 button com manager (back) to the launcher, but it does not show up in the list of available programs. Is this a matter of dropping a shortcut into a specific folder or a registry edit? I know the program is there as I can go into the Connections tab and it is listed as "Wireless Manager".
This is on a tilt running HTC Home 2.0 with the original rom.
Thanks greatly for any help.

Programs....
This is from a folder in your windows directory. You can put a shortcut there.
File Name and Folder
Do you know the name of the file that needs the shortcut created and what folders under windows it should be dropped into?
Thanks,
Bobby
Found it
FYI, if anyone else starts hunting this stuff.
The shortcut was already in the Windows folder. A copy of that shortcut needs to be dropped in the "Start Menu" > "Programs" folder. It will then be available in the Launcher application to add.
This should also work for any other application you would like to add to the Launcher.
Thanks,
Bobby

Comm manager not showing text properly

Hello all. I have a stock TytnII. haven't done any modding to it yet. I have installed skype and a couple of others, but not much.
I am having a problem...when I bring up the Comm Manager window, there is NO TEXT under the icons. All that's there is a bunch of "reverse" 7's.
Does any one have any idea why that is, or better yet, how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
DN
Did any of your new applications install fonts in your \windows\fonts directory? Comm Manager has a nasty habit of using the first font it finds. If so you can try copying them to \windows and then renaming the ones in the font directory (change ttf extension). Soft reset and give it a try.

TouchFlo3D - Replace standard functions eg. Contacts, Alarm etc..

Hi!
I would like to change some of TouchFlo3D's default programs.
Homepage:
-Clock & Alarms. I will like to replace this shortcut with Klaxon alarm program.
-Calendar: Replace with ThumbCal.

I already tried to change the registry for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS to \Program Files\iContact\iConctact.exe.
I've tried to search around for information about this, but so far without luck. Can someone help with this?

How do I link ifonez icons to built in apps?

Hi
I am new to this forum and to HTC. I have set up my new phone with S2UL, Ifonez and Icontact. I have got a number of my apps working fine from Ifonez but I cant seem to find the files or commnads to load Windows Mobile 6 built in applications such as the following
Communication Manager
Task Manager
Programmes.
I have been searching through Google and these forums in order to find out but cant seem to find anything, so sorry if this is an obvious question.
I am also using Icontact Burt edition which is mostly working fine. However I am finding one or two contacts are displaying underneath the top bar so that I cannot really make out the entry. I only discovered it by searching for an entry that I knew was there but couldn't see in the list. Icontact seems to display a screen at a time rather than a continuous list so I am finding it difficult to see who these entries relate to. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Greg

Thanks for the quick reply.
If I understand this correctly I create a text file with the appropriate code in it and then rename the file with the extension lnk. Then I point one of ifonez launch icons towards this file. Is that correct?
If it is I still cant seem to see a code for Communication Manager or to open the Programs folder. Have I misunderstood?
You would simply make a .txt file with the "data" of the thing you want to link to, save the file, and then change the extension of the file from .txt to .lnk.
For example, to create a shortcut to Settings>System>Memory>Main, you would make a text document with this in it:
20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4
Save the file as "Memory", and then use a file explorer/manager to change the extension from "Memory.txt" to "Memory.lnk"
The link to the Comm Manager is: 39#"\Windows\CommManager.exe"
The link to the Programs folder [in the Start Menu] is 40#"Windows\Start Menu\Programs\"
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been caught up with work and unable to look at this forum until now. So thanks for your reply it was really helpful.

How to Change File Associations in WM 6.1

I recently upgraded my Acrobat Reader without uninstalling the former version. Everything worked fine. Then I uninstalled the old version and it seems to have taken the file association for PDFs along with it. While looking for a solution, I found a lot of complicated schemes to modify the registry (no thanks), install a tweak program and do it from there (better, but why complicate things), etc. But it was actually quite simple. So for anyone who's in a similar predicament...
Here's how to set a file association in WM 6.1:
1. Open File Explorer and find a file of the type you want to associate to an app.
2. Hold down the stylus on the file name for a couple seconds (til you get the context menu) and choose "Open with program..."
3. Choose a program from the list on the top part of the resulting window, then check the box labeled "Associate selected Program with this file type."
4. Hit Open.
5. You may get a message to overwrite current association if there was a previous app associated with the file type, chances are you'll want to go ahead and overwrite so it will remember the association you prefer.
You're done!
This works great if you want to open some multimedia files with one program and others with a different program. For instance, I couldn't get Media Player to open my .AVI files, but it was the default association, now I set .AVIs to TCPMP and all is working great! ( I know TCPMP is one of the few programs that lets you set the association, this is just an example - and it was actually easier doing it as described above!)
That menu option's not there
I've got 6.1, but "open with program" is not a choice that pops up. I looked under properties, and it's not there either. Are you using a 3rd party file explorer?
You need File Explorer Extension, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421723&highlight=file+explorer
Nice!
Thanks for the tip!
I have a several different media players, and this is just what I needed to choose which program opens what file type.
Thanks again!
Thanks guys, really good software that complement very well the unfinished software of Microsoft..
Great for removing the "DocsToGo" association!
I was really getting sick of being unable to open email attachments because I didn't choose to shell out for the DocsToGo bloatware on my AT&T Fuze. Great fix!
Thanks!!!!
MadSci
Thanks for the software but there is a problem
The file explorer is amazing. But I am facing a problem. I have an HTC Touch 3G running windows mobile 6.1. When I use this file explorer to change the file association, it successfully changes. However, the icon of the program it is associated with doesn't appear on the left of the file name. Only the windows icon appears to the left of the file name. However whenever I click on the file, it does open with the required software/player. But because the icon of the file type it is associated with does not display, it becomes slightly confusing for me to make out with which software will it open.
Thanking you in anticipation for the help!!
thanks a lot
FExplorer ext is a gr8 tool. It solved my file association problem for .jpg files.
Thank a lot again.
I tried to install FEE on my WM6.1 smartphone (non touchscreen) but it gives an error and won't install saying it's not designed for my device.
Has anyone found a way to install it, or found a similar free product to change file extensions?

There's any way to Vito SMS chat instead default WM app for SMS managemment ?
Thank you
very very thnx to you
still not the correct icons ?
same as @sahilhshah.
Changing the file associations in either described way is working fine. But the icons are still the windows system icons.
Interestingly viewing the icons from the files which are not corrected to the specific program icon, in the taskmanager, I can see the right icons.
Any ideas?
Using Total Commander for Pocket PC u can change file association and file icon as well, it will be coresponding to specified program. Just give it a try
(That's my firsth post on this great forum )
