Guys and gals,
What are the best settings for GPRS HSDPA. I am in the UK and on Virgin network. These are the options available under "Advanced Network" in Settings_Connections.
HSDPA Tab - Turned On.
GPRS Tab - PAP Authentication
CSD Line Type - Data Rate set to 9600bps (v110). 2 other options available
Connection Element - Non Transparent option selected. Transparent option available.
Also should I enable HSUPA in Diamond Tweak?
Thanks in advance.

HI
I use daily with the GSM the forward option to force all cals to be forwarded to an another phone. After forwarding as been activeted (otion under phone menu and services ) I don't have any remember on the TF"D screen to display the status of my GSM.
On my older GSM (not a Pocket) I had an status icon to remember me this status.
Is it a way to display the satus of this function on the main screen ?
thanks

Is there any other way to access this screen. I'd really like a shortcut to it since I am switching back and forth from Edge to 3g twice a day.
Use a different ROM. CM6 has that feature on one click.
Even with the stock ROM you can toggle 2/3G, but it's not a nice handy widget like in CM6. You'll find it in settings, under Settings -> Wirless & Networks -> Mobile Network -> Use Only 2G Networks
With CM6 you can add an item to the power control widget to toggle 2/3G. Win!
Time to kick an old thread. The *#*#4636#*#* app and the 2G/3G toggle can be added as a shortcut with AnyCut.
Just launch AnyCut and hit "Activity."
The *#*#4636#*#* screen is called "Testing," and the 2G/3G screen is one tap away with a shortcut to the AnyCut activity "GSM/UMTS options."
My work wifi is secured and the IT guy gave me the password, the ip address and the port number. . I enter the password and it shows full signal, but im not sure where or if there is a place for me to enter the proxy settings. . or maybe an app?
now it shows signal but cannot get online. .
thanks for any info
Applications > Settings > Wireless And Network > Wi-Fi Settings > Menu Option (Left Button on Device) > Advanced > Here you can enter Proxy setting and Port number too.
Thanks ranjan. .
Hi,
I seem to have no option for Advanced Settings in WiFi.
Clinking more in WiFi gives me:
Add network
WPS push button
WPS PIN entry
Smart Network switch
Keep WiFi on during sleep
Always allow scanning
Install network certificates
Can't post image links yet.
Long press on your WiFi network name and you will get the advanced settings .
Cheers~
After updating v190(c432) my preffered network type option dissappear, any idea?
