8" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2
10.2" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2
Any reviews, discussion on these? I have laid my money down and waiting for the courier to show up. Been burnt before and not holding my breath, but as an ebook reader and wifi surfer?

Only downside I can think of its resistive touch, and I have never heard of Freescale processors before.
You'll have to let us know how it goes, these seem quite interesting...
well i heard the a8 1ghz cpu isn't 1ghz its 800mhz
Not be quite sure now until the gadget arrives.
Yeah, in ARM official site, Cortex A8 comes with 800MHz frequency, I think they add DSP frequency with A8 frequency together, so it is 1GHz.
I looked at android tablets for a week straight in the end I got a iPad and love it but I'm the kind of guy that likes everything. I have a ford and a chevy a xbox and ps3 android and apple
Hi Everyone,
Ive been follwoing the development on the HD2 you guys are producing some good stuff.
I have been looking for a laptop now for some time which I could use for gaming, but my budget is 500quid
this has really taken my fancy;
Toshiba Satellite Pro L670-14L
Intel® Core™ i3-330M Dual Core Processor,
17.3" HD+ Screen,
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit,
4GB DDR3 RAM,
320GB HDD,
DVD Rewriter,
Dedicated ATI 5650 Graphics,
Bluetooth, HDMI, PSK3FE-00V00REN
for £500
What do you think?
Sounds great for the money
Otherwise maybe look at this Samsung, Which I personally will probably buy when I get the cash
Samsung R580 and the Amazon page.
although it is a smidge over £500
Specs;
15.4" LED HD screen (1366 x 768)
Intel i3 330m (2.13Ghz)
nVIDIA GeForce 310M (With 512MB dedicated memory)
It's red
HD Audio
Webcam
Bluetooth
Wifi (etc..)
Num Pad
HDMI
and some more stuuf
I´ll prefer Toshiba

Don't bring my hd2 into this lol. Amd > intel and nvidia > ati as backwards as it sounds that's what I would prefer.

Would you please help me to make the best choice?
Hello Guys! How is it going? I'm a newbie here and i'm quite confused about the next phone that i'm gonna get.
The phones i choosed are the next:
Motorola Atrix 2 (1gb dual channel ram, 8mp, FullHD recording with single led flash, android 2.3.5 with Motorola's custom UI, 8 GB internal storage, Full qHD 540x960 resolution with 4.3" capacitive Multitouchscreen TFT LCD Screen with Corning gorilla glass, VGA Front facing camera, strong battery life with 1785mAh, TI OMAP 4430 with dual 1GHz processor and Power SGX540 GPU)
Its $850 dollards with 90 day of warranty, originally came from ATT from usa, sim free.
In the other side the Samsung Galaxy SII (4.3" Super AMOLED Plus with Corning Gorilla Glass capacitive Multitouchscreen, WVGA 480x800 resolution, 1GB of Single channel RAM, 16 GB of internal Storage, Android 2.3.3 with TouchWiz 4.0, 8MP Camera with single LED Flash, FullHD video recording, it has a Dual 1.2GHz Exynos Processor from SAMSUNG with MALI-400MP GPU, 1650 mAh Battery, 2.0 mp Front Facing Camera, Very thin by the way..
It's $594 dollards with 1 Year Full official warranty with Rovery secure.
The atrix is a HSPA+ Capable, both have 3G, 32GB Memory card support, Atrix has HDMI output and webtop support, SAMSUNG Offers possibility to read external storage devices and usb hubs with usb cable.
I'm worried about overheating, and its harware resistance
Wich one would you say that i should go with?
Thanks for your help, by te way i'm Argentinian, i live in the south of America.
Thats not an important fact but will male you understand why do i write english that bad.
I actually own a Motorola Defy and i Like it, never tried Samsung, however theres about 250 dollars of difference in the middle, dont want to waste more for something worst.. thank y!ou
Personally I would go with the Samsung device. A biased opinion because I own one myself but development for motorola is lower than my standards and I personally don't like their devices. There is a lot of Android development for the galaxy s 2 though.
-We do what we must because we can. For the good of all us, except the ones who are dead.-
Another vote for Samsung here.
¤The statement below is true.
The statement above is false.¤
Then Samsung Galaxy SII will be my next device, i'll make a thread after 10th december about what i think of it... Thanks you
get the s2 its the better buy
How much the SGS2 costs in your country? don't you tthink that is a bit expensive $594 dollards with 18 months contract of $50 dollards per month of service?
Motorola has poor support. From hoe they are handling the atrix, they area horrible company. Expect the atrix 2 to have lost support in the next 6 months.
Go with the sgs 2, webtop or not, webtop is still laggy. Sgs 2 is the smoothest android device out.
$1 gets you a reply
Go with the samsung!

I'd go for the SGS II, here it's around $700 - $750, without any data plans or some of that stuff.

MW3 only on low settings if. I got a Intel HD 3000 and a nvidia gt540m.
But if I was you I would look for something better if you plan play some games. I think nvidia gt540m works good with MW3 because I play it on my notebook and the graphics look good.
When i played MW3 on the Intel HD 3000 I had idea it was not running so smooth.
But Intel HD 3000 can handle 1080p just fine and you can also play some games but I think games like bf3 will not run good on this notebook.
I myself got an Asus K53SV-SX838V and it has Nvdia optimus.

Thanks for replying,
Actually, I can't afford a laptop as expensive as that. It would be not fair bcuz all of my siblings got mid range price laptops. I just need a cheap gaming laptop.

My notebook has an i7 2670QM and 8GB Ram, and a decent GPU Nvidia GT540 and it came with a 640GB harddrive which I replaced with a 128GB SSD.
My notebook was € 587 and I even have an USB 3.0 port and the build quality is good. My notebook is an Asus K53SV-SX838V, but I got it with a really good promotion.
So I don't think my notebook was expensive at all.

I don't know, you look look further? I have no idea what the price off computers is in your country.
Maybe you can better buy an notebook with AMD, because AMD Fusion processor. As these notebooks are really cheap and they seems to have a good GPU part with it.
I'm not fan off AMD, but you can look into it, read online and compare.

The 3D performance of the HD 6320 should be only minimally faster than a 6310 and therefore only low demanding or older games should run fluently (e.g. Call of Duty 4, Sims 3, Left 4 Dead 2, Fifa 11).
Based on the chip in the link bellow it's only a few Mhz faster.
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-4330.13973.0.html
Unfortunately gaming laptops are bank breakers. "cost very much for very little."
http://community.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/AMD+Radeon+HD+6320/review
To give you a better idea of WTF may be playable.
http://community.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/AMD+Radeon+HD+6320/games
All and all not bad but many new games will feel the burn even at minimum.
Anything else i can assist you with?
