Loss of Signal - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi Can anyone help,
A couple of days ago my Tytnll lost signal and now shows no service most of the time, i changed the battery which resolved the problem for a day but now it is back to no service again. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hello I hade the same problem. The signal came and disappear but only when I use the 3g connection otherwise my phone worked fine with edge or gsm connection. Now I have change mine mainboard with a new ione and everything works now.....

3G No longer working?

I live in the Chicago area and am testing out AT&T service and the Tilt (thinking of switching from Verizon). Anyway, late last night the Tilt started searching for signal and could not find the Voice or Data network. I tried doing a hard reset... still nothing. When I got up this morning, it was still searching. I tried another hard reset, and now it is able to get on the voice network. The data network is working as well, but only as Edge, as it does not seem to see 3G capabilities anymore.
My question is do you think this is an issue with the radio, the SIM or simply AT&T's network. I was using 3G with no issues since Friday. The phone is brand new and was working flawlessly until last night. I did not perform any tweaks, or install any software other than Flexmail.
Your input is appreciated.

Dont worry, it could be just a network (provider) issue.
I got 3G signal at home, but sometimes (very rare) I got GPRS only

i am in chicago and all of today couldn't get on 3G, I hope it is network because I didn't change anything from when it was working till now
I don't think this is a network problem. For 2 days everything was fine. Now, mine does the same thing as eras2r. Works fine on Edge but when I am on 3G, it not only fails to connect for data, but it also kicks me off the voice network. Takes about 5 minutes or more to reconect. Sometimes it throws me out when 9n 3G area for no reason. AT&T told me to return, but since I was Premiere, I could only do an exchange. Total suck. Hopefully I get my new one and it won't have this prob.
Turns out it was a radio ROM problem. Need to make sure you are using:

I had 1.27.12.11 and it was killing me, but now all is good in the World!

Radio problem with the kaiser

Hi guys, my friend bought himself this devise about week ago and everything was fine till he accidenty emptied the battery, since then there is a radio problem in his device.
The problem is that he cant get a network and he has no signal notification.
I'll be more specific: the device is finding a network but can't register on the network. I tried about evrything i knew (find networks manualy, change from 3g to gsm, tried some diffrerent sim cards and even HR) but nothing helps.
If anyone have another idea i'd like to hear.

Have you tried to re-flash to the HTC ROM and seeing if that might help? How about running the Network Connection Wizard?
Problem with 3g after emptying battery
My phone worked flawlessly until I emptied my battery. Now my 3g connection connects briefly and the just disconnects, it's unusable. I've switched to 2g and it works good, but something happened to my phone after it died because of an empty battery. Could someone please figure out a way to make 3g work again

Help!!! Sudden loss in data connection!!!

I was just using my g1 when suddenly the data connection symbol went away and my phone stated telling me I had no connection. It hasnt come back either. But I put my sim card in a different phone and the data connection is working! I've even factory reset my g1 and it still has no data connection. Now i cant even reregister my device without the data connection... SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!
i just had the same issue for the past half hour. i just re-flashed the radio again and its working fine now, maybe give that a shot

I called into T-Mobile and if you are on their network there is an outage on the East Coast right now.
I was roaming around times square when i lost my network connectivity.. a few restarts later i gave up and decided to flash once i got home..
luckily saw this post before doing it
oh man. and i thought i was the only on going crazy with this.
i believe mine was out from 6pm to about 9pm.
and i thought it was just my house cuz as soon as i stepped foot outside
that evening, everything came back.

Turns out it was a worldwide network connection issues, it was fixed around 3am this morning. Thanx everyone
Hmm, that's interesting. I had the same problem yesterday and again today. The strange thing is it only seems to affect my G1 and not the ones around me. I switched to my T-Mobile Wing and had no issues with connectivity.
Actually, I just bought an unlocked T-Mobile G1 yesterday and I am using it on GPRS in the Caribbean. I set up the APN and everything was working fine. A few hours later, the GPRS icon disappeared and after all kinds of efforts I decided to re-set the phone. I am still having the problem. The data connection appears to be intermittent, but once the SIM is placed in my Touch Cruise there is no problem. It seems to be related to the G1. I am also stuck at the set-up screen and can't use my phone.
Only times i've experienced gprs or edge or hspda connection loss, have been when my operators have warned about maintenence in the area where i live.. Never had any of those issues with my g1..
JF 1.43 with copy.sh app and data useage (app2sd)
baseband is 62.33.20.08U_1.22.14.11 (rc33 with testkeys, though the build states release keys when i read there... Might be because the phone is bought in germany and the key z and y are swapped in place on the keyboard resulting in a qwertz keyboard

Signal/Data not working (possible hardware problem)

Hi, so my problem is that i keep losing mobile signal (3g and LTE). I put the SIMcard to another phone and everything works fine.
Did a factory reset and still nothing, i even installed Sony Stock Jelly Bean ROM and again nothing. When it's set in 2G it works ok.
The other thing is that i can't tell when the signal is lost because it actually shows that there is signal but when i want to call someone or use internet i can't. Could someone help please

You might have an issue that is similar to mine. My XSP also shows signal, however, the difference of your issue with mine is that, I cannot receive any SMS, or calls. If I attempt to call someone, it somehow "triggers" network polling and then the signal resets to a correct one. After then I am able to receive calls.
However it is persistent, later in time it will "freeze" again.
I highly suspected that it was my XSP. Fortunately upon some closer look, the true culprit would be the radio tower (reception) at my home. At my university, the network works extremely fine. And if i return to my home, the same issue reappears.
I guess you should try going to somewhere else that is quite far from your home, and check if the issue persists.
If you are however having such issue constantly everywhere, it might also be plausible that a certain bands are out of service at your area
Well about the area service, my friends SG S4 is with the same mobile operator as i am and has no problems with the signal or mobile data. Any help on what to do ?

SM-N950F 4G problem after last dec update

Hi guys, I have an issue with 4G after the last dec update. In 4G/3G/2G auto connect mode, usually the receiving data arrow ( v arrow below the 4G symbol in notification bar) gone missing and thus the connection got lost. Only transmitting arrow is visible (the ^ one). I have to wait for some minutes or turn to flight mode and back to get my data connection back.
In the beginning I don't really sure this issue is caused by the latest update, but after I tried nearly everything, including factory reset which is doesn't help, I think that the update is the problem.
I have tried my sim on another phone and it worked normally. I have tried another sim on my note 8 and it got the same problem.
Oh and this is only a 4G issue. My 3G works normally. And before the update, I never experienced this kind of problem.
Two of my friends got the same note 8 and one of them is also using the same carrier as me, but neither of them experiencing this issue.
Anyone can help?

Problem solved, they replace my device
I have the same problem but seems like in a different way, when I got the phone first time I contacted my service provider to activate the 4G service cause it was inactive on my line due to provider's issues, anyway the phone worked on 4G for only 2 days, after that it kept working on 3G, I contacted the service provider many times but they have no issues with my SIM or handset.
I still don't know what is the problem, is it a hardware malfunction? Is it an installed app? Is it a Samsung Update? I don't know!
have tried getting a replacement sim card, I had same problem in the past and they had by mistake sent a sim that was not 4g, got replacement and problem solved
Well, the problem is that it worked at the fist time on 4G so the SIM was 4G not 3G, but I have just comeback from their store, at the first the technical support did something in their system and switched the phone to airplane mode then turn the network ON back and the deice worked on 4G but after a couple of minutes the phone switched to 3G without going back to 4G, then he advised me that this problem either a SIM or handset problem and it's always 90% SIM problem, so we changed the SIM card and the phone is working on 4G for around 30 minutes till now, I hope it will keep working on 4G
2 days and phone is still working on 4G, it was a SIM card problem
