As more people probably have noted: The hardware keys of the HTC Diamond lie a bit higher than the screen itself on some units.. I think this problem caused the protective layer on the keys on my diamond to let go, I attached a picture for better explanation. (Look on the upper left and right corners..)

Does anyone else have that same problem?
And can I send my phone back for warranty with this problem? Or am I simple doomed with an ugly keypad from now on?
Thanks!
you can buy new ones from ebay
I had the same problem and I just peeled the layer off.. its been about 5 months without the layer and the button works just fine.
Yes, just be sure to press against the button while you peel the layer off, so you dont break the plastic panel, its a bit thin. I think its as if the wheel censor has better sensitivity with the layer gone, and it looks as good too..

Ok so the other day I dropped my Kaiser a couple days ago and now the screen feels really loose when the screen isn't open. I don't think anything cracked inside.
Is there any way to fix it? I'm thinking about opening it up to see if there's anything I can do. The phone still works fine, but it's bothering me Has any one else had this problem before?
Thanks
Duct Tape can do wonders.....

Same issue here, feel my LCD loose. Any solution ?
I didn't drop it and i only bought it less than 2 months.
take it back.
So I opened it up today and found out that the loose part was the sliding part here: http://www.pdacenter.ru/images/htc_p4550_kaiser_060.jpg
Is there anyway to tighten it?
Hi,
It appears you can save some serious $$$ if you go to a 3rd party repair service. But the repair service asks if my touchscreen is cracked, or the LCD is broken, or both. I am clueless about this. Can anyone tell from the image below?

When the phone is turned off, I only see a tiny scratch (in the area that's towards the bottom left in the pic). It kinda looks as if the scratch is underneath the glass protecting the display.
Run your finger across the damaged looking area.
If you feel the damage, its the digitizer (touch screen). If you don't, its the LCD.
Hi,
After months owning an N1, I managed to sell it today and buy a new one (with a guarantee this time) for a little additional money. The problem was, after some time using it, I noticed there is a small problem with the screen: there is a spot near the bottom left corner which seems to be brighter than the rest of the screen, especially when holding the phone in a certain angle. Kind of like this:

Do you guys know why this could be happening? Anyone has something like it? Is there a way to fix it, or should I send it back to HTC?
Nothing? :-(
Does it have screen protector?
Anybody messed around with this? Seen if it would be possible to attach a custom bezel? Maybe something smaller and more black or glossy to appear more like a typical tablet?
I don't see any reason for it not to be able? As long as you fabricated the exact design just with different material?

Ya, I could see how youd be right about this, my only concern would be if any of the hardware is attached to the front bezel in any way.
check this picture
It looks like the metal parts might be held by screw but the bottom plastic piece where the N button is seems to be plastic welded on. I can't zoom in far enough to tell for sure.

Hey there. I've been using Xperia SP for a year now and my screen (the glass) broke after my phone hit the ground once. I bought new glass from the internet. It came just like that :

+ glue. Without the frame. I managed to replace it on my own but after that the touch isn't that responsive.
I'm using it for couple days now and here goes my question. What should I do from now on. It's almost impossible to write messages the touch just ... breaks? if i'm trying to scroll something it breaks and clicks the thing under my finger atm. I have to touch it very strong, push the glass to its limits in order to make the system respond, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Is it possible that I did something wrong while I was screwing the phone?
Try with hard reset if it doesn't work it is defective or you didn't build it the right way
