Hy folks....anyone also seeing this behvaiour.
Everytime i get an MMS, i see theres a new message on the "start" page.
I click to see the new massage, and in the right side theres an ikon showing something is added to the massage (picture sound etc.)
If i click the ikon, it opens the message thread... and i then AGAIN have to click the picture icon the se the picture itself.
Funny is, with MMS I'VE sent, it opens up the picture on the first click....
anyone ?

Hi there!
when i receive an new sms message the text field seems to look empty but when i scroll up i see the message text.
so every new sms shows the (empty) bottom of the message field and i have to scroll up every time to the top of the message . . . .
my tytn II does this from the beginning and i have no clue how to solve this so it will show the top of the message @first instead of the bottom.

Hi!
Does anyone else have problem with MMS on the Diamond?
I cant receive pictures but get the MMS but there is only text
I can send to others and it works for them but I cant send to myself or receive from others.
Sound or text gets through but not the pictures, no matter the resolution or size of the picture. I get the paperclip-icon in the corner but the message is without the picture.
The MMS-settings are correct. What can be wrong?
Hi,
I have experienced this though I know the images are there, but it's just seems its a pain in the arse to show it. If I am wrong somebody correct me.
From the message home screen, you can see you nice new MMS with the text and the paper-clip indicating the attached image. If you press the screen to display the message, I have found it just takes you to the threaded message view and again shows you and image/sound icon. Indicating something, either sound or image is attached. By pressing the image icon it is hit and miss whether or not it shows you the image. It always seems to go straight back to the message home screen displaying the message the image came with. Very frustrating.
A way around this for me was to disable the threaded message option. Now when I get a new MMS from pressing the screen displaying the message it simply then displays the attached image. Whilst the image is on the screen it gives you 2 options 'contents' and 'menu'. Contents shows you what the message comprises off, text and and image. If you press and hold on the image, it then gives you the option to save the image. The Menu option lets you reply, forward, view text or show message details or contact details.
Hope this helps.
Hi aggain,
I will try this, where do I disable threaded message? I am looking for it right now.
Thanks for the tip!

You'll need to install both of these.
"schaps advanced config" then "Boinger66 diamond advanced config". They work in tandem.
Once installed, launch advanced config. You will find there is the option to disable threaded messaging. Do this, restart and see the difference.

Thanks allot! Now it works fine. What is threaded message anyway? What does it do?
It put's all your messages from one person and yourself to that person in a IM like mode. It's somewhat like this forum..
Me:hi
otherperson: hello
me:how are you?
etc..
In not threaded mode you will see all incoming messages together and the sent one in an other folder..
(sry if I'm incorrect about something here..)
Ah ok, thanks for the answer and the help! But why doesnt it work activated? Is it deactivated on the older HTC models or is it about the new WM 6.1?

I have no problem sending or receiving MMS, but the phone doesn't send a confirmation (not sure on correct terminology) to the sender, and I also get a text saying you have received a picture message, and a URL to click and log in to view the picture.
Now this isnt really a problem but sometimes it sends the picture multiple times as well as the link.
Is there a setting maybe in the registry to sort this out or is it a network problem
I'm on TMobile uk and have a MDA Compact 4 with NRG rom.
TIA
Just go to the place where you are about to write a text message. Go to the bottom button and there should be a option button and from here you select the settings button and there you should be able to check and/or uncheck which things like confirmation...
Its when i'm receiving them, i get the picture as an mms, and as a text link, usually you get one or the other or so I thought.
Hi,
I think the way the note 5 does pic messaging is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes, after selecting a pic I want to send (from the gallery app) it immediately drops the pic into the messaging app and then I just have to type in the recipients name in the top of the message. Often other times, after selecting the pic, I get the attached window pop up asking me to select the recipient.
Thanks
from the pic, when you share, doesn't it first show a list of apps you want to share through?
(Sent from another Galaxy via Tapatalk)
For me I just get to select the list of apps I want to send it with...I select "Textra" and bam..type in contact name select and send...I haven't had any issues with it over any other phone and it's very consistent.
Yes, it first shows me a list of apps I can attached the pic to. I select the stock messaging app and then that screen pops up that I showed.
Bumping this thread. Anyone else have this issue? I cant seem to fix it.
Thanks
After updating there is ABSOLUTELY no option to add a caption or "subject" Text to a picture in the native messaging app. On last version you select a picture from galley and a thumbnail of said picture would be inserted into the body of the MMS and you have the option to enter text. Now you have no option at all only option is to send the picture directly

I noticed this too, I don't understand why they'd do this :what::what:
Yes! Completely ridiculous! T-mobile of course has "no info" on the issue.
I guess there is still no fix for this? For some reason this is a huge let down. Something so simple that should have been left alone.
You can. First open the message app, select new message icon on bottom right hand side, add attachment, then you can write the caption. Lastly select recipient and send. It's a hassle but the only way to do it
