Why hasn't Microsoft included a decent widescreen fingerkeyboard in Windows Mobile 6.x?

They have it's just not needed/included for this phone, because it has a qwerty keyboard.
Exactly. Use FingerKeyboard 2.1 if you want one.
has MS ever done at WS fingerkeyboard for any WM phone device?

when WM7 is released, what are the chances that someone will release a cooked version for the Kaiser? Is there enough RAM/ROM/CPU?
errrrrr no.
I'm sure someone will try, but I seriously doubt the HW is up to the Job.
Dave
I doubt we'll even care by the time it gets released - latest reports are claiming delays of up to 2 years...
I can remember the same questions being asked from HPC 2001 ->2002 and it only seems like yesterday we were asking the same question of WM5->WM6...
Patience....
I doubt it will, most devices will be fully VGA by then, and trying to get the OS and interfaces working on the kaiser (QVGA) might prove to be difficult.

For the time being...
I only re-itterating(sp?) what other people have said and by the tie WM7 is out i would iagine hat for 99% of people (including myself) using a Kaiser will be a distant memory and we will be using much more up to date hardware (in relation to the time when WM7 is out)

heh, i get the point, but my main worry is that it will be a while before the system and the apps are stable to use on a daily basis. and it will not be easy to get used to a new layout after using WM for the last 2 years.
one of the major things for me would be having proper accelerated 2d/3d drivers, but as i said, that might take some time...
also will be interesting to see if web apps can be developed and *run* on the phone... im learning Rails at the moment, would be cool to be able to use it in ways that i couldn't with WM.

Doubtful, since Android is linux based and windows mobile is based on the crushed hopes and dreams of many a microsoft programmer.
I'm waiting for a dos based os. None of this gui stuff. Command line rules!

I am sorry, but what exactly is this? A theme, a ROM? And how do you get it? Is it for Fuze?
If you want this, you have to get spb mobile shell.
This is a theme for spb mobile shell
There is no free version of spb mobile shell... you have to either do the free trial, buy it, or torrent it.

Alright, maybe I'm very late when it comes to this, but is there a TouchFlo 3D ROM for the G1 that's currently being updated and everything? I remember seeing one by Drizzy a while back but that's it. No more from that

CE7 requires ARM V7
MSM700X = ARM V6
Qualacom Snapdragon = ARM V7
Unless you can rewrite the MS Core, it ain't comin'.
What about just the WinMo7 apps??
Don't care so much about getting 7 perse, but it would be nice if some of the apps can be ported over...like the Xbox Live or the Netflix Movie Streaming apps...
Hint Hint...
Any takers?? Can it be done, or are these apps strictly WinMo7 dependent??

I agree with you there. The 7 Pro is on my wish list, but not until someone gets a different OS working on it.
I would say no, but then again Android, Ubuntu and other OS's have been ported and they weren't exactly designed for the device. I would say nothing is impossible, unlikely? Yes.
check out what they got going for the tilt(Kaiser)
