WHY!!!

why is everybody working on hero?

i wouldn't exactly call it "working" when you know how to add a few files and a theme and sign it.

touche'. i mean damn you can only "work" on the same thing for so long. there is a perfectly good pulse dump it only made it to a meager beta. blur is coming along and eclair is out there. wtf?

i have no clue man, i love the pulse launcher. i wish more people would get on it and realize its potential. hero is old imo.

personally i love pulse if i had the time and dedication i would work on it myself even if its pink. hero is super played out.

man, the pink is slick in pulse. if i knew how to port roms then i would work on it.

im super partial to blue. the flip animation in the launcher is so sick it has huge potential and people are sleeping on this rom

i know, i love the little animation when you delete something, i also love how the launcher works.

i would be happy if the launcher got ported to cyanogen roms. stability and sexiness...mmmmmmmmmmmm

yeah i actually tried it before and it was just black i really want to find out how to port it

yeah i did too, it just gave me acore f/c. too bad nothing can be easy.

[Theme] Black-White Sense Icons

Due to the work of wayferer and his Smooth Sense Icons I've also decided to make a few icons. So here they are:
Charging
Battery with percentage
This is only for VillainROM 12. It might be also work with other ROM's , but I assume no liability.
Please make a nandroid backup before flashing the .zip
All my thanks goes to wayferer because it actually comes from him. But the icons are created by myself.

Unlucky about that Great icon's by the way
(oh and if you ever do color changes i reccomend using a mouse recorder then go sit down for half hour or so watching tv )

[REQ]Girly theme for wife!

Hey everyone! I just switched over from Sprint amidst all their drama and got my wife and myself each a Nexus S. I've been telling her all along how awesome Android is because you can theme it, OC it, UV it, and do pretty much whatever else you want but now I can't seem to find a theme that she likes.
Basically I'm not looking for something with hearts, rainbows, and unicorns. She just wants something with pink accents instead of green (and possibly the android or monsters as she is a fan of both of those). Maybe if possible theme some of the widgets so those can be pink-ish too.
I hope someone can oblige a man trying to get his wife addicted to android and I thank people in advance for their input!

I'm looking for the changes to the battery color and the other notif bar icons. She thinks that if its just white like that it looks boring. I understand its a lot of work for something that is so small in its spectrum of use and I would be willing to make a (small, we're in college and very broke) donation to the creator because I am really trying to get her to see what is so cool about Android and the first step is getting her to feel like her phone is personally hers.

Actually, I'm not gonna lie, when buying phones yesterday knowing you were the mod in this forum was a big reason I liked the Nexus S. You're pretty good at keeping the drama down and since I like you I am more reserved about starting any myself since I don't want to cause more s*** for you hehe.

Someone made a purple version of my MattedBlues theme for the Evo - I can port it to the Nexus S if she likes it. Here's the link to PurpleMotif: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=820576
Keep in mind the theme has progressed a GREAT deal since then...but let me know if she likes that color.

Thank you man, that is really kind of you! As it stands with sonnysekhon's theme and theimpaler working on another one I don't want you to put in work on something she might not use. Its really nice to see that some people are willing to put in the work for the femdroids out there too though, so thank you all so much!

Sorry to bother, but I just rooted my wifes Nexus S and was going to flash this theme for her. However it's saying the file is invalid. Any change you could pm me the .zip?

Try redownloading it, could be a bad download

I've tried several times. Mediafire is saying Invalid or Deleted File. It's not a big deal. I'm sure more themes will be coming soon.

No worries. No need to apologize at all. I've been putting off rooting her phone for a while because I've been working on my nexus 1 with all the new nighties and stuff. I found a link that details how to theme. I just have to sit down and work on it.

I already tried doing this, it is not impossible, but very cumbersome. It has been made for the Theme chooser app and hence all the files are named a little differently. So all you have to do is rename a few hundered files exactly as they are in the existing framework.
I was going to do it and release it and rejoice, but all that went to **** when I saw how much work I will have to do...lol (I know I am a lazy ass!)
I will be looking forward to whoever is able to do this.

im pretty sure master ported this for the vibrant, idk how hard it would be to go from vibrant to captivate

Sounds great

the first one changes a few icons, but not much, it doesn't look very good, so I tried to make a better one and it wouldn't boot. The third one also won't boot. I have only flashed these over di11gaf 6.0. See what you can do with these.

and knew it might not work but it did for a short while. It was a great 10 minutes and then after another theme swap I had to format and reinstall a fresh ROM. The pattern unlock theme is amazing. Offset circles...nice.

Im having a really hard time getting my screen to look like their screenshots...anyone else having this problem. I got some stuff to work like notification bar and wallpaper and thats about it. Im on serendipity 5.11 going back and forth between suckerpunch and speedmod...

Well, more or less haha. I made my new WP7 theme statusbar toggles black, but with a 1-pixel blue border that I can't change

The only thing I can do is make the toggles dissapear, but even if I make the smaller (let's say only 40 pixels height), the blue pixels around are still there!!!!! Is some xml thing maybe, but I've modified all I've seen that would affect, and nothing... I'm contacting some LG 2X themers (don't you do the same or they will get angry ) to see if they help. 3 of them couldn't help me already because they work in Gingerbread and have SystemUI.apk that we don't.
I'm going to try a dirty trick and I let you know.
