What is autover.exe - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

Within the oem is an exe called autover.exe...what does this exe do? Since Build 23008 I get during the customisation process an error message which says that autover.exe is not available or has an invalid certificat. The autover.exe is there (operatorPkt)...so what can I do? When I delete in the confic_end the entry "EXEC:\windows\AutoVer.exe"...the customisation works...but is it the right solution? I guess not. Who can help out?!?!?!

hm like always...no help...or talk.

well I for one dont know..
I'd suggest youve changed something to get it failing.. but I cant find out what it does..

I found it out...I had to replace my netcf3.5 package against another one and I also had to change the sys files.

Whenever I try to instal Cabs file, it give error...........The file cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.........

Did you cook your own Ext_rom??? Well if you did that means that it has been got damaged some how! I would flash it again and if you have the same problems i would go back to a pre cooked ext-rom and then try again!
I have loaded new ext rom. However, error still appears whenever I click to open a .cab file.
Any suggestions what I can do?

LaunchMsItem.exe Help

Today I finally took my first step and upgrading from the stock ATT ROM to Alex's HTC Clean ROM and when I try to add the other HTCHomeplug icons for new SMS and call log. My problem is that they won't display and when I click where they are supposed to be it gives me an error telling me the the LaunchMsItem.exe could not be found. I am guessing this EXE was removed to help lower the size of this ROM since after all it is a clean rom. I was wondering if anybody can post this file for me. I have searched on google to no avail. It resides in the windows directory.
Thanks

TomTom Problems

Ive searched the forum for a couple of hours and i cant find a solution to my questions so i thought id create a new thread.
i have downloaded TomTom, i have the .cab file and the .exe file but neither seem to work.
when executing the .exe file i get to the window where it says 'modify, repair, delete' and then the programs closes. if i pick modify it asks me to do a soft reset, which i do and then nothing happens again after that.
when trying to install the .cab it says i need to update my rom version.
i have just flashed duttys 6.1 rom so wondering what could be the problem?
i have been trying to install tomtom for some time now and i would appreciate any help.
cheers
Hi
What .exe file r u talking about? You only need to copy the .cab file to your phone first, then run it from your phone. As for maps use tomtom HOME software...go to tomtom web site to get it..& install on your comp then use it to install the maps. There's a freebie small map to try though with tomtom if it's your first time using it.

The posted thread doesn't relate to the original problem. He can't install the tomtom software. Make sure you have version 6.032.8351 tomtom .cab
My tomtom works just fine.
as stated above my question is not answered, and yes i have searched for hours.
i have the 'Installer_Kaiser_ttn_6_032_8351_HTC_WWE_20070716' .exe file that someone posted on another thread somewhere on here but i cant seem to find it anymore...and i also have the 'ttn_6_032_8351_HTCWWE_Kaiser' .cab file...i know these are just two different types of installation, im just explaining that i have both, and im having trouble with both.
i know that you just put the .cab on the phone and it installs but i get the error message saying a rom needs to be updated.
and with the .exe file do i need to download anything extra before executing it from my pc?
thanks

OK let me clarify this. YOu have flashed dutty 6.1 ROM on your phone successfully correct? If so...
the posted .exe you don't need it..to install tomtom software
and the .cab file posted the name of it doesn't look right..
if you have an email address I can try to email the one I use for you.

that link above is pretty interesting...never encountered that. Kill all apps that could be causing conflict. If that still doesn't work, try using another cab. I have WM 6.1 3.02 version and mine works totally fine.

Anyone knows there registry entries?

I don't know if this is the right forum to get the answers, mods feel free to move
Today i looked a bit into the registry and found these:
("Launche r" is Launcher withouth the space in my registry)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher]
"WaitTime"=dword:0000C350
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\6]
"Module"="\\Windows\\Voxmobili\\Voxsync\\SyncManager.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\5]
"CmdLine"="a"
"Module"="\\Windows\\ConnectionSetupAuto.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\4]
"Module"="\\Program Files\\Downloads\\Stub_Main.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\3]
"Module"="\\Windows\\nbOrangePhotoCM.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\2]
"Module"="\\Windows\\HTCVolumeControl.dll"
"Info"=dword:00000000
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Prefix"="VOL"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Launcher\1]
"Info"=dword:00000000
"Module"="\\Program Files\\F-Secure\\Anti-Virus\\fssvcdll.dll"
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Prefix"="FSS"
I looked at my original HTC Task manager package in my kitchen.
Package comes from RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-ME_1.93.456.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe
The .rgu file from this package has the same registry entries with Voxsync\\SyncManager.exe, \\ConnectionSetupAuto.exe, \\Stub_Main.exe, nbOrangePhotoCM.exe and Anti-Virus\\fssvcdll.dll.
Are these the links for programs in program tab in manila? I thought they were in the manila key in registry...
Anyone who knows what these files are and what they do?
And more important how do they get in registry information (RGU file) from an official HTC Rom?
Thanks in advance
connectionsetupauto.exe
Hello,
I am wondering about this file too. After rebooting the machine and looking in the taskmanager, I saw this process running! Then while I was looking on the net for its details, the process dissappered from taskmanager! And I thought that's really weird and started looking for info on the file. It's under windows folder. I ran airscanner antivirus but didn't get caught. I still want to know of its validity! Will keep searching..

get rid of the "avertisment"

how can i get rid of that avertisment each time i want to install something: "this program is from an unknown publisher. you should install it only if you trust its publisher....."

Run the autopatcher_v1_cli.exe on your OS-New.nb (the NB file you put in your final NBH).
The udk Kitchen might have a way to do it for you, have a look for that exe and see if anything calls it - I don't have it downloaded
