Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can suggest or if there exists a program to block incoming calls?
I've only been able to google MagiCall ...
Anyone found a good freeware?
Can't find any threads on this...

spb phone suite...works a charm...not freeware tho...pay for it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384126
damn, none of them seem to be free
Getting 1800 calls every hour... lol ****
well theres no free lunch in the world...phone suite is good tho and its only 20 bux...and theres more u can do in phone suite than just blocking calls why not download a trial and see if u like it or not
I've been using Magicall for about a year now, first with my 8525 and now with my tilt. There is no other filter then magicall. Trust me if you google you will find it as a freeware. Remember google is your friend. Try looking for magicall ppc warez or something with free maybe you will find. But I don't know if any one here is going to give you the cab. Search and you will find. Again magicall is the best, I tried others but none of them stand up to magicall.
Thanks for the suggestions guys...
Bapssy: Im also on fido... do you constantly get 1800 number calls from telemarketers?
Ever since I signed up, I've been getting them over in toronto. Apparently their office is around where I live... maybe I'll just pay them a visit...
nope i never get them...not that i remember of...so that means even if i do its probably once or twice...but cant u just not pick it up...and just let it ring or silent the ring? i know thats kinda annoying tho

I'm sure that the mods would not appreciate advocating for warez (ESPECIALLY in a developers forum). Anyway, search for Call Firewall here on xda and it should get the job you want done. Although I've been using magicall for a while and have found it to be vastly superior than other filtering suites.
That is what I do right now, I press ignore...
But that means I have to leave it on vibrate or silence...
Very annoying...
again I'm not trying to get on your nervse but try magicall that will get rid of all that. One good thing about it is, they have one function
I use for someone I don't want to talk to (old girlfriends or 1-800 #'s) or I don't want them to here a voice message. This function will pick up the phone and hang up on them everytime they call and you don't have to do anything except sign there number to that function.
.
i understand how u feel...but as for freeware u gonna have to search...but theres plenty of non free ones...like i said u can download a trial on the spb website and just test n see if it works out good for u..then u can decide whether u wanna pitch out for the program
Going to give call firewall a shot
Otherwise its -$25 outta my pockets..

Spb Phone Suite has a new Release Candidate beta 2 if you search in there forum.
Here; http://www.spbclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16436
I like PhotoContactsPro 5.
It has advance filtering so you can specify how the phone handles each caller (either by group, individual, etc). You can specify the program to either send it to VM, pickup + hangup (love this feature!), send to VM and send a SMS, etc. It can also do group or individual ringtones.
It blows up the caller Pic to a full screen as well. For me, its a must have program. But for $29.99 NO. I think its worth $24.99 the most.
But besides the price, im very happy with this one.

Try www.youmail.com. There might be something similar of what are you looking for. And it is free.
I remember when i had the T-Mobile DASH, I bought an app called SNIPER. What it pretty much did is detect all bluetooth's in the area where i was located and i was able to send messages with a hidden name to all the people that had there bluetooth on. Any chances of an app like that making its way to the android? or is the andriod still at a young stage for app like that to be coming out? im not saying it will be posted in the "MARKET" but i wonder if someone will ever make it and post it on sites like this or other sites? can i get some feedback on this?
Anyone? Does anyone know of what app I'm talking about? 200 something views and no feerd back?
341 views and yet anyone has to comment on this idea for an app? why is this? are you guys scared to comment? did i break the forms rules? (i hope i didn't) has no one ever used the app called SNIPER on there T-Mobile Dash? come on people i need feedback.

OMG!!!! someone knows what im talking about!!!!
Just like the other 300+ views. I'm viewing this post, however I will reply. Most people "Do Not" reply because they do not have anything to offer not because they don't want to, maybe its because they don't know.
why did you use that app? just to mess around with people?
doesn’t bluetooth need a pairing code to connect devices?
I used to use a app like that on my S60 phone, But you see as I remember it, the other person still had to accept that you were requesting a connection. Which that being said, I doubt many people really WANT to go bluetooth apps. I mean after that Virus thing.. would you trust someone sending you something?
I had sniper on my n95. For anybody that hasn`t heard of it, its a bluejacking application.
What we need is an app that can send a note via bluetooth.
I was hoping since BlueX was released a bluejacking program may be out soon.
oh BTW I notice Bluex`s next update may include a ftp browser over bluetooth. That would be great, means you could hack phones in a similar method to a samsung
I don't think the Android SDK even provides Bluetooth libraries yet.
ok so i used to have a tmo dash (excaliber) and i had an app that allowed me to call people and specify the number i was calling from but i dont remeber the name of the app..... can someone please help andse if its avaliable for the touch pro/fuze

What you're looking for is a way to spoof your callerId. So far no one has written an app to do that for the windows mobile platform - although there is one for both the iphone and blackberry..grrrrr
I know there are services you can use to do this - like spoofcard or something like that...but if I remember right they call charge you by the minute ....
Would be nice if someone would write such an app.....
ok i know that the app exist for the windows causei had it for the dash it was awesome... i know it has to be somewhere ou here i got it here orginally...
isn't the dash a smartphone maybe its they don't have a pocket pc version..... not sure though
can someone confirm a working app for windows mobile? sounds interesting
Hmm, sounds like an interesting feature. I didn't realize such things were possible. I also heard that the Nokia E71 had the ability to see who the person you're calling is talking to (if the number you're calling happens to be busy). Strange that such functions aren't available on WM.
Anyway, the T-Mobile Dash is a WM5.0 phone, so I would think that there is, indeed, a Windows Mobile software that can do this (at the very least, it exists in the phone).
Theoretically speaking, one would be able to pull the software out of the OS, right?
Interesting - because I have searched high-and-low for such software for Windows Mobile and I haven't not seen one - so if one truely exists I'd like to see it.
If the guy that supposedly had it on his dash - do you still have the phone? if so I can walk you though how to copy it off that phone so it can be put on another.
Anyway I haven't seen such an app - I gotta see it.
sorry took so long had a long ass day of werk but yeah... i dont have the dash anymore it got burned up in a bar b q gone wrong.... but yeah i actualy got the sotware from a friend he said he found it here on the xda developer site... but thn again i have also searched high n low here and have found nothing... i tried google... but i think i keep asking for the wrong thing.... but yeah i would give anything for that again it was great used to call my boss n he always though i was in my office... plus its fun to mess aorund with frineds.. lol but yeah i also read up on that what was posted earlier about being able to see who the other person is talking to to ... but it was all very sketchy....
ok got more info is a caller id Spoofer see if anyone else can find anything interesting...
As unfortunate as it is, I think that the app has been lost with your BBQ Dash. I have tried searching up and down Google and XDA-Developers and while quite a few interesting apps has appeared under my radar, no caller ID spoofing software appears to exist. Well, at least not for Windows Mobile anyway as I'm sure anyone doing a similar search will know.
However, some bit of good news: I found something that may be satisfactory enough. Some of you may have seen this, but the service is called 'Bluff My Call'. It is a paid service, but you are allowed to make a free spoofed call so long as it is under two minutes.
Here is the link: http://bluffmycall.com/free/
The company has developed an app to use the service, but unfortunately, it's only for BlackBerry and iPhone. This means that the only way for Windows Mobile users to use the service is through the Internet. Is it possible to do it through your phone's Internet browser? Maybe, but I haven't tried.
Furthermore, the ability to mask your voice and record the call is not allowed without an account. The latter is not important since recording software exists, but the lack of voice masking is pretty disappointing.
Sorry guys, but this looks like the best we got.

That's interesting - because I've never seen such an app like that posted on this site - and I'm sure I probably would of noticed.
Any chance you can get a hold of yer friend that gave it to you in the first place? Perhaps he still has an install for it or at least the actual name of the thing?
Check your state laws as I know in my state of Louisiana, spoofing your caller ID is now illegal here.
anyone got anything on this yet?!
I'm still keeping an eye out too. If I find one I'll post to this thread - but the moment such an application for WM simply does not exist.
yea, hopefully someone comes up with something...if another phone is able to have it..i dont see wut the problem is to get it to winmobile
If I am reading this correctly, the OP is looking for basically a WM VOIP app that runs thru one of the Caller ID spoofing websites. One is not actually making a voice call thru their own service provider.
I know that my data plan prohibits doing VOIP, but as with anything, penalties depend on getting caught.

WHY would you download and install something if you don't know what it does? Sort of like the "here eat this and tell me if it tastes bad to you" mentality.
Ask questions FIRST. Not after.

Actually he did know WHAT the program does, he simply doesn't know how to use it. Give him a break.
Now as per the program, if anyone has a Dash or any other Windows Mobile device with this capability please post on this thread and we will help you help the community by making a copy of it from your phone.
I am using the new Android version of Line2, the VoIP product for making calls over a Wifi connection from Toktumi. It was released yesterday. I have Attn1's Froyo 2.2 FR008 with a rooted Aria.
The Aria is not specifically supported. However, the sound is good on my end but some people I called noted static.
Once the program is started, it runs in the background and you cannot "exit" the application short of force closing it. (The "menu" button which in many apps points to an "exit" function, does not provide one). Not a big deal.
If you have WiFI access and need to cut back on your phone minutes, it might be worth trying for about $10 a month.
Can you please upload the apk!
Thanks in advance!!!

The Line2 app is available in the Android Market: search for "Line2" or available to download here: http://www.line2.com/download_android.html
Thanks!
Thanks for starting this thread! I'm the developer of the Line2 for Android and would love to hear feedback good or bad.
As for which phones are supported, we were very conservative with our list to include phones we've tested heavily. We have other phones that work well but haven't received the amount of testing we like.
One particular reason we're hesitant to just certify all phones is that we have found some hardware related issues on some devices such as the Evo.

It's been free for a LONG time…only when it first came out did it cost money…so, hopefully someone will upload the FREE apk on here
I can't post the link b/c I am a new member but if you search the market for Line2, it is free
I got a Pixel Qi 3G Adam tablet from Notion Ink a few weeks back and am unable to get Line2 to work over the 3G connection. It appears that 3G VoIP options are disabled by default and the Dialing tab appears to be missing. Wi-Fi calling works, and I can sign into my account over 3G, but I can not make or receive 3G calls. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I am using a G2 on T-Mobile and have experienced the exact same issue... no 3G/Cellular calling. I too am missing the Dialing tab in the settings so there is no way to tell Line2 to make or receive call. I have been around and around with Customer care but to no avail.

So, anyone afraid of dropbox now, lol.
http://jdsawyer.net/2011/07/02/put-it-in-the-cloud-are-you-nuts/
For the average user they can't cause any harm for storing music files or videos to have access to them elsewhere. So no reason for me to stop using it.
I sense lawsuits from somebody.
To add some facts to that: Dropbox already modified these changes, clearifying that those are legal terms they need to technically operate their service.
Read the lower part of this post: thinq.co.uk/2011/7/3/dropbox-terms-service-target-your-stuff/
A Dropbox spokesman:
Some of you have written us with very understandable concerns about the legal-sounding parts. In particular, our new TOS talks about the licenses we need to run Dropbox. We want to be 100% clear that you own what you put in your Dropbox. We don’t own your stuff. And the license you give us is really limited. It only allows us to provide the service to you. Nothing else

However, users should be alarmed.
Yeah, came across this at bleeding cool. Com, from a Greg Rucka twitter (comic book writer), thought there would be some interest here. The main point someone was putting forth is that we are not the customers with dropbox/Facebook etc, we are the Product/Merchandise ...

Shady! I haven't trusted (or used) Facebook for many months now. If you investigate their history it's more than a little sketchy. They don't want your information ... 'just because'.
It's really not that shady; it's just a bunch of legal jargon stemming from outdated laws they have to put into the agreement to protect themselves when storing millions of people's personal file's. Nothing will come of this, because there's no way a lawsuit will be able to get anything out of them

I know its kinda backward, but depending on the size of stuff just email it to yourself. With the size of hotmail and gmail these days a few gigs worth of attachments might just be ok. And if there 'stories', ie your a writer IIRC you've just copyrighted your work by mailing it to yourself (someone might want to clairify or correct that statement, just a thought bouncing around in my poor brain, lol).
