Contacts "File As" Tweak Help - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

I am trying to find a way to change the default "File As:" setting on the Touch Pro. I have found the Shubaroo Contact Changer program and it works, but when I sync next time it goes back to "Last, First".
There has to be a way to hack the registry to change the default.
I believe it is something to do with Activesync, because if I sync my contacts for "Microsoft My Phone", Pim Backup, or Outlook on my computer, it shows up normal. The issue is, I want to sync to my google account and I don't like any of the other google sync programs.
Please help!!

Save contact "name, surname" insted of "surname, name".

Hi all, when I add a new contact, this option appears by "surname, name" be default. I like to have contacts by "name, surname"; so everytime I add acontact I have to go to this option and change.
Anyone knows how to change this value by default?. I know there is a program for Pocket PC that fix it but i don't know how to manage with a SMP.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I've managed to do adjust it in my Outlook. There is an option when you click on your contact, to just say 'display as .. '. It's there where you can state how to list your contacts if I'm not mistaken.

What if you don't use outlook but Windows Live Mail?
i have also made this work in outlook... not with internal vista email klient... sorry
I use this thread, is there some possibility to have more mobile phones in one contact then only one? Thanks a lot.

No way to change to "name surname" modifying a registry key?
I've heard about this feature in "Xpera Tweak"... I'm investigating!

Clearing the calendar?

For some reason my Tilt's Calender continues to give me multiple reminder announcements even when I dismiss the reminder. In fact, it will stay on the screen until I dismiss it a few times right from the onset of the first reminder. I'm curious if there's a way to delete every calendar entry? I have hundreds and
I just want to clear the entire calendar and re-transfer the events/appointments from Outlook 07 and see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks for any advice!
There is an easy way to delete the whole Pocket Outlook Database (including Calendar, Contacts and ToDos). You just need to delete the pim.vol file. Detailed instructions can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369123
If you just want to delete the calendar entries, than I know just one method: Install Pocket Informant (the trial version should suffice). This application provides the possibility to delete all calendar entries at once.
Actually there's another way to do it, I did a search some time back looking for the same solution and found it. Open up your ActiveSync, go to Tools - Options - Server Synchronization. When you choose the items to sync with server, it will ask you whether you want to delete everything off your device before the sync. Use with caution though...
I cannot find the options described as:
ActiveSync, go to Tools - Options - Server Synchronization
I tried opening Sync Center and Windows Mobile Device Center looking for this (Vista). I also looked under ActiveSync on my Tilt. There is no "Tools." Under "Options" there is nothing regarding Server Synchronization.
What now?
Thanks...

civic98 was refering to ActiveSync on a Windows XP machine (since you didn't mention Windows Vista before). In Windows Mobile Device Center the similar setting can be found under "Mobile Device Settings" -> "Change content sync settings" and there uncheck the "Calendar" checkbox. Your phone needs to be connected to the pc of course. HTH
No, I'm referring to your Tilt's Activesync. NOT on the PC...

Unable to sync calender

Need help !!!
I have a HTC TYTN II and I am unable to sync outlook calender with my phone. I use Windows XP. I also tried syncing using the message server option but that also does not work. I am able to sync tasks and notes. While I run sync it shows that the calender is sunchronising but I dont see any off my meetings. Please someone help!!!!
Check your settings. I know, blatently obvious. Is it syncing and you can't see it or is it not syncing?
Edit: In Activesync check Tools- Options and make sure there is a check mark in Calendar.
The calender is checked. When I sync it shows as syncing and it also shows the number of appointments in my outlook calender as being synced to my phone but when I open my calender (mobile) nothing appears.
Please Please help. I am missing meetings !!!!
Back it up. Remove the Activesync partnership (Delete Mobile Device). Create a new partnership.

ActiveSync problem with contacts and calendar

I had a problem with connecting htc and PC via BT. So I decided to set it up from begining in my phone and in PC in ActiveSync. I deleted sync profile in ActiveSync and I did it also in HTC. During deleting in HTC there was a message that it will be deleted only the sync profile not data (contacts, calendar), BUT it happend! ;o( After that all my contacts and calendar items were deteted from my phone. But all data I can find in Outlook.
So I tried to create new sync profile. BUT during synchronization ActiveSync doesn´t find any changes in contacts and calendar, so no new contacts and calendar items are copied to my phone. But I have any in my phone! So there is no way to get contacts from Outlook to my phone. ActiveSync ,,think" that I have all contacts in my phone.
I have tried all to solve it. Reinstall ActiveSync, hardreset my phone, but nothing help. Can anyone help me? How to persuade ActiveSync to copy all contacts from Outlook to my phone?
Thanks
Since you mentioned that you have tried to hard reset, the only culprit left is your Outlook. How about creating a folder in your default Contact folder and move everything in there. Then establish a new sync partner and sync. Finally, move back the contacts into the original folder.
No, it doesn´t work. ActiveSync doesn´t see contacts which are not directly in the main folder Contacts or next to it. I tried to create new contact, but ActiveSync didn´t also synchronize it. So I can synchronize any. The solution can be to remove ActiveSync from the memory and registry completely, not only uninstall. Is there some way how to do it, except formatting of harddisk? I have used Registry cleaner and Registry fix, but nothing helped. It is really difficult to use my Diamond without contacts...
P.S. !!!!!!!!!!!! PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My last idea was right - I tried to set up my PC to the recovery point before installing of ActiveSync (2 moths ago) and now SYNCHRONIZATION IS O.K. and all contacts are copied from Outlook to my Diamond!
This can help someone in the future. ;o)

how do you delete previous outlook account?

I just recently got a new job. my old outlook exchange information is in my tilt. how do I change mey info for my new company? Please help!
On the device, go into ActiveSync. Hit Menu>Options and in there it shows the computer it's synced with. You can delete the computer and start over through that. Also, in Outlook on the computer (if you computer is set to sync with the server) go to Tools>Account Settings and you can delete the email accounts from there.
Alternatively, if that is not what you are looking for, you can open the Messaging window and change the account settings through the Menu>Tools>Options (I think) window.
Hope this helps!
