I had opportunity to use Hero build on my vogue.
I am in love of new HTC Mail App with support for Exchange and POP (much stable and reliable than current cupcake build).
Can somebody dump that mail app as apk file? Help much appreciated!
ss
Has no one extracted that app?

Has or can anyone extract the exchange sync (contacts, mail, calendar) that is available on hero or sense?
Maybe in apk format so that we could load it on a 1.6, or 2.x (non hero or sense) ROM?
Thanks for any help, I did a search, but didn't find this request specifically, I apologize in advance if this has already been asked and answered.

The one from the hero rom is restricted to the htc sense ui.
I was hoping it could be extracted the way cyanogen has the HTC keyboard available separately (HTC_IME.apk).
The Sense UI widgets utilize a different framework.....so you will most likely never see these on a "standard" android device....although HTC is currently porting widgets and adding them to the Android Market....so keep your eyes open.
PS....wrong section.
But is exchange sync really a widget? It's intgrated into the data sync preferences. . Kind of like how the keyboard is integrated into the text & local settings.

The exchange is part of the mail widget in hero.
I have a Droid Incredible and a corporate e-mail account (Exchange) attached to it. I am able to go to the search widget and search those corporate e-mails.
On the Nexus One are you able to do the same thing? 2.1? 2.2?
I tried myself on a Nexus One with 2.2 update installed and the Exchange Support was extremely buggy. Tried removing and adding the account multiple times. Sometimes the application Force Closes and the entire account gets wiped.
Suggestions? Thanks.
Does anyone have an Exchange account on their Nexus One? If so are you able to search e-mail? What version are you using?
I am running corporate exchange on my nexus I belive its is 2007 and am able to search the folders with ease

That could be the reason. Thanks for the reply.
I really wish somebody who has a stock ROM could chime in.
Hard to believe nobody else has Exchange set up on their Nexus One.
Anyone?
Hi guys,
Moving from WM to android is creating me more problems than expected
Apologies if I make a few noob questions.
I got a Galaxy tab, and everything works fine expect the email apk which is not able to show the folders of my corporate email account. I've seen that this problem affect other people/devices, but couldn't find a working solution.
Funny enough, I got my old Blackstone running XDAndroid working fine with the same exchange account and showing all my email folders and sub folders.
I've seen the $20 touchdown, but I'd prefer a native solution, so my questions are:
- Understand that after rooting I'll be able to replace the Samsung mail apk. What would be the procedure?
- I would like try the email apk from the XDAndroid. do you see any limitation for this apk to work on the tab.
- is it possible to get the HTC mail apk (sense) working in the Tab? does someone have a working apk?
- Any other solution to show the exchange email folders into our Tab?
Thanks in advance
Funny, i had same idea with HTC Mail.apk but found nothing on web.
So anybody want to port HTC Mail to Galaxy Tab?
~ from Tab using XDA App. ~
HTC's email.apk needs sense, and would be nearly impossible to port it without using a sense rom as a base.
Exchange(2007 SP2) and subfolders works great though on my tab.
Also i've noticed that there are some differences between my stock rom and overcome, so you could try that.

hi YoMark,
Can you pls let me know which Email version are you running? (just go to aplication/manage applications/all/Email.
Mine is version 2.2 and it is not showing the exchange folders/subfolders (exchange 2007)
I also have the email 2.2 apk and while mails and folders load fine, it takes ages (1 min at least) on startup and any switch and email apk is prone to force close (especially when switching between mails or switching to another app)
I reported this months ago, but no solution has been found yet... Only thing I hate about the tab, as I have 0 productivity with Emails

I am in the same boat, it's not showing any folders (Exch 2003). Anyone found a fix for this?
Hi,
I need a copy of HTC Mail that will work on my GE ROM. I cannot live without threaded emails. Please help!
I tried using some of the zips and APKs that I found on the forum.... I was able to successfully get pass the first setup page where i entered the server details - which means that it is seeing the server and password etc. is accepted. But after that it fails to create the account giving the message "failed to create the account. please try again later." Now, I know this error is not because of my Exchange Server settings because i get this same app to work any any and all HTC Sense Roms.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks,
Ezra
I second this request. Please! I get about 450 emails a day and it is really hard to keep track...

Hi
I have no idea how to get this to the developers of Maxims HD OS for HTC ONE v32.1.0.
The OS has a bug in the Calendar app. It doesn't allow to edit the calendar events.
My HTC ONE (international version) calendar app is synced with Google Calendar. When I get into the HTC ONEcalendar app, and try to edit one of the events, its just crashes and closes the app.
Could someone please help me in getting this message to the developers so that they can include a fix in the next update?
Thanks a million for any help I get here.
Thanks
Rafzy
