[App] Settings Profiles v1.5.2

I have developed an app that allows you to define different settings in a particular profile. You can then quickly switch back and forth between these settings by selecting the profile that corresponds to them. Visit my site for screenshots. The app is free, but you have to pay for the widget to actually work. Only $0.99 .

I am currently looking for anyone with a Droid 2 to help me do some testing, as I've gotten 2 or 3 reports of FCs which I cannot replicate on my G1. Also, anyone interested in helping test or contributing in any way let me know. Constructive criticism is welcome, as this is my first android project, and really my first software project ever.

Hello,
I really admire your initiative as it's a very decent attempt at a "Smart-Actions" (Motorola) style app.
it worked great on my MB511 Flipout but unfortunately just FCs on the Atrix 4G MB860, Atrix 2 ME865 SEAsiaPAC both running
Android 2.3.6 as well as the 4.0.3 Sony Xperia Arc S.
I see you've not updated for almost 2 years.
Please do, as this was the original and smallest foot-print Smart Profiles/Settings manager.

[Game][Beta] HexGrid 2D action shooter

Hi all,
i'm currently working on a project with a relatively small team (~3 people).
its an 2D arcade shooter, with and inspiration from Geometry Wars but own aspects and other focus.
The game itself will be completely free on the Marketplace!
It features (will feature)
- 8 different skills ( 4 offensive and 4 defensive)
- 9 stages for now with 5 enemy types
- expert mode for the extra challenge
- arcade gamemode: unlimited play for the highscore
We need Beta testers
Its relatively hard to judge the difficulty of the game when you played it for weeks and wrote it by yourself. Also i'd like to see if it runs smooth on other devices that are not mine.
So if you got
- an Developer unlocked Wp7 phone
- time (~2 h per week)
- and the spirit to give feedback when i send you a new version

Unfortunately i cant use shaders on WP7, so i will have to
work around that, but aside that i've got alot planned keep tracking!

Catch Phrase Party
This is that fast talking, fast passing game you all have probably played before. If you haven't, it is a party game where one person has a phrase in front of them, and they have to get their team members to guess the phrase, without spelling it out, using a word from the phrase, etc. If the buzzer sounds when your team has the phone, then the opposing team is awarded a point.
Very fun game when you have a few friends all sitting around with nothing better to do.

Yes. The app is available for Nodo, but it will be stuck at version 1.2 until you update to Mango. This is standard for all apps. Mango users are currently getting updates for existing apps that Nodo users won't see until after they update to Mango. This just means by the time Mango is in the hands of the average user, more apps will be Mango ready.
Version 1.2 still has thousands of phrases, and is a solid app. People have been happy with it so far, 1.3 is just all the more awesome.

I'm nearly done with my first Windows Phone 7 app (I know, just in time for it to be replace by WP8, but what can you do?).
Anyway, I'm looking for a few beta testers to try it out on other devices. You'll need to be a paying subscriber to Instapaper. If anyone's interested in giving it a go, reply here or e-mail me at [email protected]. Send me details of which phone you have and the e-mail associated with your windows live account and I'll add you to the beta.

There are other good Instapaper clients for WP7, but my aim was to do something that is:
- Deliberately simpler and quick: I just want to have a few things to read on my phone in an idle moment. I'm not interested in organising folders or hundreds of bookmarks.
- Fancy looking and in keeping with the WP7 experience: not just a plain text list
If anyone's interested let me know - I'd be very grateful.

I don't use Instapaper, so I wouln't be a very useful tester, but just for the record... WP8 is going to be able to run WP7 apps, so in a way, you're just getting a lead on WP8 purchases!

Looks fantastic, great to see a read later app with offline support & background syncing! Unfortunately I'm not an Instapaper user, but best of luck.

@GoodDayToDie: Yeah, it's good news about 7.5 apps being compatible with 8 (speaking as a user as well as a dev) - I would hate to have to start buying apps all over again for the next version.
@irlju: Thanks - I really wanted to get the offline stuff working well because that's pretty much 100% of my reasoning for wanting an Instapaper client app. Particularly as network coverage is pretty patchy round here! The background sync stuff is working well but, as with all WP7.5 apps, it's really difficult to predict when the OS is going to decide to run your synch task.

Neat Official Google Tool for Showing Off Homescreens

Was just having a look on the Official Android Develops site (http://developer.android.com) and noticed google had added a tool which allows you to upload your screenshots, and the tool automatically overlays them onto the screen of your device.
They only list the Pure Google devices, Nexus 4,7,10 and the older models etc, but it is still really handy. Even has options for shadow and glare.
Maybe I'm just late to the game, but I had never seen this before? Will certainly make posting in homescreen threads a lot easier.

Very nice find! This should certainly help with making apps look more professional in Android Market screen shots, plus you could use it in tutorials to point out what buttons to press when doing something, or highlighting what each function of an app does.

A lot of people use this for their screenshots. There is also a version in the play store.

I dont want to be the 1 to ruin all the fun but I read when I was publishing my theme, when you upload screenshots, you cannot have a border, so im assuming this will get your product removed from the Play Store
