Anyone know if there is any software out there that will let my G1 act as a keyboard mouse/touch pad that can control a PC?
Kind of like GRemote for the Windows Mobile platform [LINK]
I'd like to use the hardware keyboard and touch screen of the G1 to control the mouse/keyboard of my HTPC.

Thanks guys.
Both the suggested programs work over WiFi only. I would prefer a bluetooth solution, so that I would not have to install any drivers on the client machine. The client machine would just see (through the bluetooth USB dongle) a usb keyboard, or a mouse.
This comes in handy if you need a keyboard before the OS boots up (for bios use) or if you're booting off some random LiveCD linux OS.

This is the one I use for my PS3:

And without any aditional software (beside PK 3.0) it works flawlessly on my Ameo, touchpad included!
Battery Life?
I have a media board and also the diNovo edge as well, but prior to playing around with them, I was wondering what type of battery life that you are getting when you are using your BT keyboard? I have noticed that if I am using my BT headset and I get it below 50% I can't charge the device fast enough to keep it working. Have you had similar issues with your keyboard?
Thanks,
Bob
could u use your keyboard as a normal input device??
does it work with work or notepad??
I'm owner of a Hp iPaq 614 with Windows Mobile 6.5..
i've download the ROM from here
Thanx
I used to want a BT or USB keyboard & mouse, but then I found this: http://mymobiler.com/
It does two things. It puts the Athena's screen on your laptop's screen (resizable so its easy to see) and lets you use that keyboard and mouse/touchpad. Or, you can use the Athena's screen as an extension of your laptop's desktop area. I never do that.
I haven't needed the VGA output or BT/USB input since.
ok.. i will have a look to My Mobiler
does it work without this prog?
EDIT:
My Mobiler allow you to control your mobile through your pc
my question was if you can use the keyboard as an Input Device wiz ur Windows Mobile Phone
without using pc or laptops
I didn't say it was necessary for the Mediaboard. I was offering this as an alternative which is free and gives you an external monitor and external keyboard/mouse input for a WM phone.
thx m8....
Hello,
some weeks ago I have this discovered this mini-keyboard, which you can link to the PC via bluetooth and use as a keyboard and mouse:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3848&cl=us,en
http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj0MF58-ElA
My first impression when I saw it, it was that this device looks similar to my TyTn 2, especially when the PDA has the keyboard open...
So, this is exactly my question. Exists any kind of software for my PDA that allows to link the keyboard of the TyTn to the PC and, for example, use its touch-screen as a mouse?
Thanks
very interesting i would also be very interested in this as well...
That is a pretty good idea. I got a freee BT keyboard from amazon though.
yea there is, but it uses wifi. I can't remember the name of it now, but I think it was posted already. I will look when I get home.

tried and hit wall
Last week I begun developing/experimenting on such an app, to use the kaiser as a bluetooth HID mouse.
I did manage to get windows to recognize and install it as a HID mouse, but could not establish a connection. The problem is that the M$ bluetooth stack does not seem to allow me to attach to the L2CAP layer and implement my custom profile (the HID profile in this case).
If anyone has more information on how to access the L2CAP, please share .
The kaiser would be a wonderful remote mouse/keyboard for my htpc configuration!

I'd like to use an external bluetooth keyboard with the HD2.
It should:
1) Be compatible with HD2
2) Be compact / foldable
3) Should include "mouse" support (touchpad, trackpoint, ...)
4) If possible it should be able to hold the HD2 (Athena like)
Could anybody recommend one?
Would HD2 transparently work with any BT/HID keyboard including the mouse support (pointer displayed on HD2 screen driven by trackpoint/touchpad from BT keyboard)?
Same here. Just wanted to push this thread. I would be very much interested in having such a device since my laptop is crap and I never gonna buy one again.
HD2 questionmarks
Nobody has an experience connecting bluetooth keyboard and mouse to Windows Mobile device???
And second question: is there a chance that HD2 is physically able to have USB Host and TV Out, but there just aren't drivers and TV cable at the moment?
I have - I used to use BlueInput drivers from Teksoft to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with my Touch HD.
Unfortunately however the HD2 seems to be using Broadcom bluetooth stack drivers that aren't compatible with BlueInput (Touch Pro2 owners have the same problem), so now I can't use then anymore -_-... at least until they make the BlueInput software compatible with Broadcom drivers or some Chef hacks in the Microsoft Bluetooth stack into a custom rom.
Haven't tried the default Stowaway keyboard drivers that came with the keyboard though, so maybe I can get the keyboard working again, but not the mouse until BlueInput is working.
Also very interested! Love how the Celio Redfly worked with my X1 but with HD2 no luck so far...
yep looking on with much interest
Guys, redfly is working. for both bluetooth connection and usb.
Also, as for kb, i recommand logitech dinovo mini. Its great
conect usb keyboard
I like to connect usb keyboard is this possible....i need help.. the bluetooth keyboard i dont like it because it takes to connect ...is posible for usb.
thank gracias
Dear Folks
I have the iGO bluetooth keyboard that works great - I purchased this about 18 months ago for use with my Nokia E63.
Now I keep it on my desk and is an excellent way of replying to emails and text messages.
I am going to try SWYPE, for when I'm on the move.

I have tried a few blutooth keyboards but you can't seem to use the arrow keys like you would want to..
The arrow keys work fine on my BB keyboard.

It seems we'll have this the easy way. Teksoft has posted a news on their site, about a Broacom compatible Blueinput version.
Use "CE Compass Mini Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad Mouse PC Remote Control" with NC
I have a question about this keyboard, has anyone used this with NC? http://www.amazon.com/CE-Compass-Wireless-Keyboard-Touchpad/dp/B004VPXLDI/ref=pd_sim_e4
On its specs, I only see it fits to Windows, do not mention on mobile or tablet devices. However, some devices don't mention that too, but they still can support android tablet (like Rii mini wireless keyboard...)
You can ask me why I don't choose Rii, but I prefer CE Compass form a lot, i think it is more usable.
Tks for reading, n I hope to have answer from you guys soon
Via Debian Linux?
Edit: okay, I just realized there is a very similar thread on this. Sorry! Mods please delete.
I'm interested in operating my phone from my office or home desktop pc, using the DEX interface, rather than needing a separate keyboard/video/mouse setup. In other words, I would like to connect a single USB cable between my Note9 and my PC and have my Note9 DEX UI in a window on the PC monitor, with my PC's keyboard and mouse input to the DEX interface. Since the hardware setup needed for this is trivial (one USB cable), it is then just a matter of software.
Is there such PC software to do this?
It looks like there is finally an option for Note10 to Windows or MacOS.
https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-dex-windows-mac-1021495/
Is there software that works for Note9? And most importantly to me, is there software for Note9 on Debian Linux?
Anyone done this successfully with a PC environment rather than just a dex dongle to keyboard, video, and mouse?
