I'm using Smaberg's 10.1 Rom and I'm really happy with it
But I have a question. My favourite contacts in TouchFlo (Manila) are in alphabetic order.
Is it possible to change the order of my favourite contacts, instead of order it alphabetically?
I hope there's an solution

i recently had to hard reset my Diamond after a shellres.192.dll mishap. i know before the hard rest if i had a new mail notification and i went to the mail tab in the TF3D, the new mail notification would disappear. it doesn't seem to do that anymore.. i've tried different themes and its not that, does anyone know how to make it behave like this again? it was really useful.

solved, sort of.
i found out how i did it before - i was running a theme from nisse, his sprint theme. to fix an issue where you can't set the home screen wallpaper, he provides a custom manila.exe file for you to copy in to your windows folder. this manila.exe seems to enable the behaviour i mentioned in the first thread.

I am almost done with my customization with Manila. Been using the hack apps out there for Diamond Concfig, Tweek etc..
One thing that I am not sure how to change is the home tab "contacts" to icontacts? I did this successfully with ssmapa.exe but it won't change in the home screen.
Please advise what registry edit is needed.

What do you mean? you mean you want the TF3D contacts tab to access iContacts? I don't think it's possible if that's what you're asking.
yes it is possible.. i looked it up there isa registry edit you can make to change the program it launches. so now, at the home tab i am able to execute icontacts instead of outlook address book.

Well, I see allot of devided people when it comes to Manila 3 (or is it 2?.. w/e)
Personaly, I like it, but everything has it down side. For me it's the new start menu en the way text messages are displayed. Like allot if you, im a flash junkie, involved in the never ending search for the perfect ROM. Allot if ROMs that are released nowadays included an option (are cab w/e) to revert back to the old start menu. The Problem with the text messages is a less supported one. Hense this threat...
I've asked it in several threat but no answer so...: Is it possible to revert back to the old text message style like with Manila 1 intergrated in the new manila?

Just click 'all messages' on the Manila SMS tab then click the message you want to work with. It's one extra click, that is all. Then you can use the WinMo SMS client to reply to messages.
Not really a big issue. I hate the Manila messaging client, it sucks big time (no capitalisation of 1st word in sentence, messages are covered up by keyboard, font too big, etc, etc), so this is what I do.
Hey folks, I recently start cooking my first rom and I have a strange cooking issue. Wenn I click in Manila on the sms tab on an sms, manila crashes and restarts. I can access the sms from Dialer, but not from the manila tab. Besides Manila which oem packages are responsilbe for the sms?
I renamed all language folders and I know from another cooker that the manila is working. So any ideas what I can do?

I like to wish my people happy birthday. I have been saving their special day into my phone but want to know if anyone can code a script or tiny program that will bring up a notification reminding me of a friend's bday?

You could look into SBSHCalendar. it has the ability to pull you contacts birthday from contact info and put it on your calendar. Hope thiat helped. orry if it didnt

I managed my contacts thru MSoutlook and in every contacts info. there's a field called "Birthday", when you placed the date in that field somehow it makes a reminder in the calendar app.
The downside is that the alarm of the reminders fire's up at midnight, to avoid this you should edit the reminder in MSoutlook in your desktop and change the time is set.

I will try that Birthday prog. I don't use standard WM plugin today screen. I'm using wm6.5 titanium but hopefully the main aspect of the prog will work.
I will also try your method Rodrix.
I use TodayAgenda on my today screen which has this functionality - just change the colour scheme to display birthdays and anniversaries in different colours (especially your own anniversary! )
